Anchorman was great and Elf is decent for a family Christmas movie. Talladega nights has its moment but is pretty trash.

Actors who mainly star in "comedy" films aren't funny, they have to resort to lowest common denominator humour. Contrast this to Robin Williams who starred in many films that were dramatic and not simply comedy films and he tends to be funny to watch in them.
