He was a weak man who got snared by the Ring, but he wasn't necessarily evil. In a lot of ways he was similar to Gollum.
Post tits.
LONDON
Gollum was a bad guy, that's why he died at the end
mah nigga
mah brutha
mah... kang
I think in the book it better details how many trials they went through with them. He had also risked his life many times before to protect the hobbits
he only wanted to boro the ring for while
I WOULD'VE FOLLOWED YO ASS TO THA POLICE STATION... MAH BROTHA, MAH NIGGA, MAH KANG
Its just one of those things, ok?
Yea but his redemption in the movie was done well enough. It's just a top tier scene. Really good acting and even as boromir is dying you can imagine him and aragorn fighting together for gondor
He wasn't necessarily weak, he just had the greatest hook for the ring to corrupt him. They all would have been corrupted eventually, maybe before they got to Mordor.
true true
Duh
Dududududu
The reason he went to Rivendell was to bring back the ring to Minas Tirith. That's what Denethor asked him to do, at least.
The ring is like a weapon of mass destruction.
why didnt they use the delorean to travel to the death star and unplug frodo from the matrix before voldemort was even born?
The ring let one person turn invisible, what was he hoping to accomplish if he got the Ring back to Gondor that would somehow help them defeat Mordor?
Boromir's death was a tragedy you mong, they weren't acting
I mean, they were all acting. That's their job
Post its
Roastie detected
Because of the prime directive
>man desperate to prove the worthiness of his father and the resilience of man
>gets tempted by a magical object made by a literal god in order to tempt people
>gets over it and gives his life in order to defend those who would destroy it, and uses his last breaths to bequeath gondor to aragorn
>bad guy
>and uses his last breaths to bequeath gondor to aragorn
But Aragorn was the King already, that makes no sense
lmao love you user
Boromir was kino, fuck off fag
Based. I was just thinking this is the kind of dumb shit that could only have come out of a woman's mouth
He is the bad guy tho
Duh
Okay, so Saruman was building an army of half-orcs, half-men right?
Where were the breeding grounds and what species was the breeder vs breedee?
These are the questions we needed answered in the extended edition
Why didn't sauron wear gauntlets?
Was he stupid?
His fingers are made of metal
aragorn was the destined king, but boromir's father was the steward while the throne was empty
boromir's acknowledgement of aragorn's birthright started his transformation into the king we see at the end of Return
I know you're meming but you need to kill yourself, nigger/woman. Boromir is objectively the greatest character in the Lord of the Rings.
It does different things. For Bilbo and crodo it makes them invisible
What would ut let borrowmir do
because the ring had fully corrupted him
Boromir saw the threat of corruption and decided to fight it and ultimately give his life to help stop it
He wasn't corrupted by the ring. To Boromir the ring was a weapon, the greatest weapon that Gondor could ever acquire. His entire life he's watched his people die, he doesn't know how much longer they can endure. He's overwhelmed with joy when he first learns that they have the ring. This is the very thing that could restore his happiness and save his people from annihilation. But instead, it is decided that a small band of people will journey to somehow throw it into mount Doom, a task that he knows in his heart is impossible. It is only when he tries takes the ring in desperation that he realizes he is starting to become the very man that he despises, his father. In spite of this failure, he does not give up. He protects the hobbits (not even the ones with the ring) to his death.
It enhances whatever your strengths are, for the most part. Frodo and Bilbo are sneaky little hobbits so they turn invisible. But it can never truly be used as a weapon against Sauron's forces because it will ultimately lead to your downfall in order for it to return to it's master, no matter what it does to help you.
The scene where he tries to take the ring from frodo has some serious rape vibes
>He wasn't corrupted by the ring. To Boromir the ring was a weapon
Which was a lie no man in their right mind would believe. When he said they should use it against Sauron he was being foolish and Elrond corrected him stating that thing will never harm it's master. The Ring had already got it's hooks in him and twisted his mind. When Frodo and Sam leave it's grasp on him is removed and he finally sees clearly.
Gay pedo rape vibes
So the ring is a woman?
It's a turning point, in the films specifically, for Aragorn as a character. It is very pronounced that the race of man are selfish, arrogant and self-destructive. The elves had already made up their minds, that man could not be saved and they were leaving. Boromir was the embodiment of what the race of man was. He was very flawed and showed the worst aspects of man, but ultimately he was able to demonstrate the traits of man that made them worth saving. This is what convinces Aragorn (in the film specifically) to finally accept his destiny and go on to re-unite and lead the kingdom of men.
Amazon adaptation is looking better by the day
Why do white manchildren get so worked up about LotR? I love these movies too, but get a grip. Or rather, have sex
>have sex
are you offering?
you have to be 18 to post here
No, I have sex with some 19 year old even though she's annoying
was about to type something very similar, you saved me a minute of my life.
also, opposite to gandalf and galadriel for example, who recognized the great temptation. he wasnt even going to take it and use it powers for himself
No, he wasn't, and he actually rejected the temptation of the ring longer than most men would be.
The point of the story is that some thing corrupt even the best souls.
>The reason he went to Rivendell was to bring back the ring to Minas Tirith. That's what Denethor asked him to do, at least.
This scene should have never been cut

>The scene where he tries to take the ring from frodo has some serious rape vibes
I'm sure it's intentional
Look at the size of that evil arrow. Absolute unit.
How can you say that with Sam standing right here
>He was the bad guy
No.
not all heroes wear capes
I'm also 19
this post literally makes no sense
so inserting completely random racism during a beautiful whites only scene is considered funny on Yea Forums now? get the fuck out of here incel
boromir did though
There’s a reason why brotherhood exists and sisterhood is a shallow copy prone to never lasting
Why do women copy men?
is there a reason that the great may-may that "women don't understand X film/trope", which was a sideways and relatively self-aware look at how Yea Forums sees women, has just been taken over by incels?
Everything on Yea Forums starts out ironic and ends up unironic from retards taking it seriously, the only difference is how fast it becomes unironic depending on how much newfaggots like it.
They're the Chinese of genders.
and he was no hero
>which was a sideways and relatively self-aware look at how Yea Forums sees women
It was never this. The meme is based entirely on experiences watching movies with females and them not understanding aspects of character's or story-telling that men will generally completely understand and sympathize with.
Boromir has always been the prime example of this. The amount of women I've heard say "Oh, he's that asshole guy, I'm glad he died.".
