I'm about to watch a movie and want to watch a horror film that will actually spook me, so looking for recommendations.
Recent horror films I've enjoyed:
The Witch
Hereditary
They Look Like People
Kairo/Pulse
The Wailing
It Follows
Signs
The Ritual

So those are my recs. Any recs based on those would be much appreciated. Basically anything that's creepy and atmospheric and light on jumpscares

Horror is for preteen-level intelligence viewers. If you can't sit down for a thoughtful drama without a surprise evisceration or ear-piercing jump-scare every two minutes then you're a retard and should probably kill yourself.

thanks friend, ill keep that in mind

The Mothman Prophecies if you haven’t seen it. It’s one of all-time favorites. It will stick with you.

I saw it years ago and loved it, but it might be time for a rewatch. Thanks

Phoenix Forgotten
Eden Lake (definitely this one)
The Nightmare
The Taking of Deborah Logan
Devil's Pass.

Cure by the director of Kairo/Pulse. It's his best film imo

based at least higher than pre-teen intelligence poster

Sadako is a cutie

That's just how your mom looks when she sees my dick.

Lake Mungo

Kinda shit. The chick seeing her own corpse floating towards her in the dark is just nonsensical, and her real ghost popping up in all the footage is predictable. The only shocker was her banging the married couple next door.

>Phoenix Forgotten
>Eden Lake (definitely this one)
Haven't seen these, I'll definitely check them out
>The Nightmare
>The Taking of Deborah Logan
>Devil's Pass.
Seen and loved them

Haven't seen it, will definitely add it to my list

Seen it and loved it

Thanks guys

Spares people a shit movie.

Oh, Southbound too.

The only time I've been spooked from watching a movie is when I watched Svidd Neger (Scorched Negro) at night. It's supposed to be a racist comedy, but it suddenly goes full Ringu with some dead chick, catching everyone off guard.
