it was more pure dread than horror. Like watching a family unit slowly dissolve into nothing.

As someone who grew up with and has a little sister, it scared the shit out of me like no movie ever before.

Only people from reddit thought it was scary

It had its moments imo, let's face the world is desensitized to most shit nowadays.

Nice strawman

it's shit
the soihorror chart might be bait but it's not actually far from the truth

You don't know what a strawman is do you

Do you even know what strawman means

No

*thump*

>Another user gets baited by the redditors into watching a slow burn psychological drama masquerading as a horror movie.
You ought to be fucking ashamed of yourselves and your piss poor tastes.

>me big man, not scared of silly girl movie!
thats totally okay op

No you didn’t. You’re just some contrarian who was in yesterday’s thread that couldn’t get enough people to agree with you so you returned to post this obvious bait.

>resorting to conspiracy theories.
cringe

This

100% this. It was an average supernatural thriller.

Most zoomers hate it since they haven’t grown up in the golden age of horror they expect jump scares but nothing that makes them think. Millennials are guilty of this also but mostly late millennials (‘89 and beyond)
Since most of Yea Forums is zoomers now a lot of people dislike the film but it’s probably the greatest horror film ever made bar none.

>probably watched it on his laptop

Might as well have told yourself the story with fingerpuppets and plot summary; because nothing is scary when seen like that. It's one of those films to be experienced in the cinema to put you in that unfamiliar boundary of threat. Not being in one dampens all the visual cues and sound design that really pulled everything together. Thankfully you're only fucking up your own enjoyment and the impact of what you watch - so good job, keep it up.
