The whole point of her character is that she’s emotionally immature. Like the episode where she gets mad at Sally for befriending Glen and moves the family to a new house, and fires their lifelong Nanny for letting Glen in the house.

She’s not acting like she’s concerned for Sally because she’s creeped out by Glen. She’s acting like a teenager whose Sister stole her boyfriend.

But it’s not really supposed to mean she’s necessarily a bad person. She was raised to be a trophy wife and never had experiences that allowed her to grow up; and she lacked the wisdom to see through Don’s bullshit before she married him unlike her Father instinctively disliked Don as a con man.

I feel bad for Henry.
He constantly has to deal with Betty's shit while Betty never really gets over Don. He married a used goods housewife with the mentality of a 12 year old who constantly fucks his shit up while Don drinks all the wiskey and fucks all the women in Manhattan. He also has to take care of Don's children like a cuck.

Betty didn't exactly turn into the perfect wife once she remarried. She was still OBSESSED with Don and then her weight exploded. When she finally got hot again she cheated on her new husband and fucked Don. And then died of cancer lmao what a shitwoman.

The fact that Betty says Don was the first man she ever had sex with and Don grew up in a whorehouse is just one of the many ways in which the huge gap in their life experiences is shown.
