Any more films like this or do I just have to rewatch it for the rest of my life?

Sorry OP, Barry Lyndon is just the greatest film of all time and the only substitute for its greatness is a bullet to the head
Lots of early novels are like that, try vanity fair or the bbc version.
Pic related is probably the closest comparison.
The Duellists
Waterloo (1970)
Olivia Emma Rachel and Colman Stone Weisz were great in this.
The Draughtsman’s Contract
>Pic related is probably the closest comparison.
The Kubrickian cinematography is lifted from Barry Lydon and its also about a lower class individual rising to power, so yes it is very similar to Barry Lyndon.
lol, get the fuck out
This one. Also other Greenaway have this kind of aesthetic but Draughtsman's Contract is the closest i guess. Visconti's period pieces especially Il Gattopardo. Amadeus and Mysteries of Lisbon are good period pieces. Saragossa Manuscript.
Empty pointless film with great cinematography? Check some slow-cinema euro directors.
Give me examples.
Theo Angelopoulos
It's stops with cinematography. What killed it for me was the nigger help. There were no niggers anywhere near high society in that time.
The Square
was this autism?
Kino director.
I wouldn't say that it's pointless or that it has great cinematography.
yes, the movie is promising at first until you understand they push muh strong women, niggers and all that nonsense. Hard pass.
>There were no niggers anywhere near high society in that time.
This is true for Barry Lyndon too; the main character is Irish.

Are you memeing, friend?
None as good but there's stuff like
Beckett
Lawrence of Arabia
Jeremiah Johnson
The Straight Story
That pathetic Greek hack is not fit to shine Kubrick's shoes.
lady macbeth
>lady macbeth
Again, niggers in high society. Are you zoomers actually retarded? How the fuck can you watch something that's more impossible than avengershits?
>empty
Imagine being soulless.
