Children are surrounded by children all the time and have the same issue. Their society doesn't reward and form of subtlety, grace, or introspection. I work with a lot of them. They're not bad guys. Like knowing good hearted extremely smart children. That's the best explanation I have. But it is societal. The ones born and raised in the west, especially 3rd gen, manage to be ok. 2nd gen are somewhere in the middle, being too heavily influenced by their parents to fully shed the cringe.
