Best crossover we could get in a horror movie, most that get pitched are dogshit like the Chucky creator giving his idea for a Child's Play vs Nightmare on Elm Street movie

sneed vs feed

Freddy vs Jason and Alien vs Predator were both great films.
Hopefully one day we get Freddy vs Jason vs Alien vs Predator.

Underrated post

They understood it just fine considering it was the highest grossing film in both franchises' history

Pinhead was supposed to be in the final scene

You'd think the whole monsterverse would had been all about that.

This, and most people who saw it loved it despite the scores. Not sure what OP is on about.

And then Ash in a sequel goddamn what a clusterfuck that would have been

i thought it was badass when i saw it in the cinemas as a kid. ratings mean nothing for these kinds of flicks.

A clusterfuck in the best way. Shame it never happened

still hoping for a sequel, maybe with ash this time

>Pinhead was supposed to be in the final scene
That would have been far better than the whole lake head shit, what did he do in the final scene?

Not who you're replying to but it went something like
>Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees awake in a black place
>go to fight
>Chains shoot out and hold them apart
>Pinhead walks out and says some cringe one liner

What are you talking about? That made a shitload of money when it came out.

According to James Rolfe in the Freddy vs Jason Monster Madness review, it was going to end with Freddy and Jason in hell about to continue their fight, and Pinhead steps in, saying "Gentlemen, what seems to be the problem?".

I'm guessing he would have been the Doomsday that they would have teamed up to fight in the next one.

> Not sure what OP is on about.
it's a joke/reference to/about Batman v superman

>Michael Myers vs. Pinhead
>Leprechaun vs. Candyman
>Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash
All almost happened.

>all this horror kino lost to time
damn shame

On its own, no. If it had gotten to be the series the creators wanted, it would be one part of a kino series.

That would've been fun

It made decent money I'm pretty sure

damn sounds way better than the mcu could achieve in all it's lifetime

Pure unadulterated kino.
For the producers ITT, and yes I know you pop up every once in a while, make it happen please.

Yeah, their was going to be a Halloween crossover with Hellraiser, but it would have been pure horse shit. Why? First off, their wasn't planned to be any fight to take place. Second was Michael was actually a cenobite demon called Thorn that was possessing the body of a human that escaped the box.

>Freddy scenes lit by red
>Red element of fire
>Jason scenes lit by blue
>Blue element of water
>First moment of the two sharing screen
>Blue and red mixing into green
Now that is kino

I could see them approaching the slasherverse nowadays as making them all having to work together to keep a greater evil at bay by them existing.

Good movie, some great shots and ideas. other than the dated CGI caterpillar still a solid watch.

based Englund.

>Thorn was actually a cenobite spirit possessing Michael giving him his supernatural powers
That would've singlehandedly salvaged that Thorn shit they introduced

Why is Friday the 13th so comfy bros?

Because user. Because.

>tfw we can never have another proper slasher movie again cause "dude its the 80's get it?"

Pinhead is a good guy so would have made sense abit but not really.

Why did the costumes look 10/10

God I miss them so much. I thought Halloween was good though.

There's satellites frying our brains all over the place and everyone's got a powerful pocket computer on them at all times that can pretty much do anything. Getting lost in the woods and being hunted down by a psycho in a mask just doesn't work in a modern setting. Unless you're able to suspend your disbelief to the max, that is.
>OMFG WE'RE LOST!
>No we're not, I've got GPS
>OMFG THE KILLER CUT OFF THE LANDLINE! WHATEVER WILL WE DO?!
>No prob, bro, I've got an unlimited plan on my soiphone
>OMFG WE LOST [PERSON]!
>No we didn't, she just posted on Faceberg, there's a party at [Person's] house
>OMFG WE'RE STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! WHAT NOW?!
>Chill bro, I just called an uber

it was the most profitable one out of either franchise brother

Sequel when?

It was ahead of its time. Could have done much better in the current decade with all these shared cinematic universe and we can see that the Conjuring is doing well.

Cringe

Set them in 90s. Simple.

Make it so the phones can't get service. It's stupid but it works.

>Michael Myers vs. Pinhead
Holy fuck, how would this even go? What would it be like?

What if they made like the avengers but with retro horror icons.

>Pinhead
>Good guy
He's neutral at best.

Literally just do the Left 4 Dead system where help is on the way but they gotta wait for it arrive. Builds suspense pretty well. Too little horror movies use it and instead "cell phone no work lol"

There was one film where there was a bunch of people going on a vacation in some nature setting and they all agreed to leave their phones in the car so they wouldn't be distracted by facebook and shit. Might have been Descent, although it's been a long time since I saw it. I mean it was obviously just a way for the writers to get rid of the characters' phones, but it's also something people actually do so it didn't feel forced.

It wasn't deep by any metric and I seriously hate movies of any sort with heavy color filters.
