The Skywalker Saga was all but ruined with Episode 7. TFA establishes that almost nothing has changed since ANH even though ROTJ ended with the Empire defeated and the promise that Luke would bring about the return of the Jedi. In TFA, we get ANOTHER Rebels vs Empire setup with the Jedi being extinct, AGAIN.
TFA being a reset undoes the original trilogy and it now has no actual point. The happy ending is destroyed and instead the beautiful cycle of fall and redemption becomes a mindless circle of death and destruction. Disney shouldn't have thrown away George's original scripts for the sequel trilogy. Instead of getting another BORING Rebels vs Empire setup in the sequel trilogy, we could have gotten microbiotic kino. The fact that we didn't is very disappointing to me.
I don't see how anyone could believe TFA wasn't simply a death sentence to the franchise. Abrams fundamentally ruined the sequel trilogy by rehashing the original trilogy. That's why it seems like all of the old characters got shitted on. It completely undid everything the old characters accomplished.
>galaxy-spanning empire with thousands of capital ships and millions of men defeated at one battle
Michael Kelly
Uh user, they have more than 1mil subs making them normiecore fags, please desist from posting them again :)
Christopher Green
>galaxy-spanning empire with thousands of capital ships That's EU nonsense; The Imperial Fleet, was at the Battle of Endor, and all the bad guys died, at least the ones that didn't run away like the ones aboard DSII.
Samuel Mitchell
>Skywalker Saga Stop calling it this, stop letting Disney control the names of these trilogies to force in their own shitty canon. The Skywalker story ended with ROTJ and Luke saving the galaxy with his father's redemption.
Isaac Lee
They were normies ever since normies tuned in for their TFA review.
William Howard
>An empire without centralised leadership is effective and will never collapse
Henry Diaz
OP here, I only called it the Skywalker Saga so people knew what I meant, but other than that, I completely agree with you. The real end of the Skywalker Saga was Return Of The Jedi.
Henry Hill
I almost confused her to that dragon queen girl from got.
Nolan Scott
Have you ever been drunk and decide that something is fine but if you were sober you'd approve it? I feel like that's the case.
Camden Lopez
>The Imperial Fleet, was at the Battle of Endor, and all the bad guys died Please tell me that isn't the official canon now. How bad does the Mouse Wars get, I haven't watched/read/etc anything SW since TFA
Owen Ortiz
That photo convinced me of the superiority of 2D.

>Episode 8: Let the past DIE, kill it if you have to.
>Episode 9: Hey remember the Skywalkers?! We named the whole movie after them!
The sheer fucking transparent desperation to pander to fans after the colossal fuck-up of Ep 8 is obvious to everyone. Its going to be hilarious watching them trying to back-peddle and retcon everything.
Lucas Flores
That's what you get when your company is led by a woman.
Lincoln Perry
>That's what you get when your company is led by a diversity hire.* FTFY
Robert Kelly
No, it's specifically because Nu-Lucasfilm is being led by a woman.
Dylan Perry
>Please tell me that isn't the official canon now. No, Soi Wars canon is that literally immediately after the end of RotJ, the non-really-defeated Empire kicked the Rebels' ass 32 years before TFA. That's how bad Soi Wars is.
William Ward
George would've created kino, if he actually wanted to. Disney just wants things to stay the same so they're always be fans reacting and paying.
Dominic Ramirez
even if he didnt, we at least would have gotten some cool designs instead of >remember the ot
Jose Jones
Star wars has produced 2 geniune quality movies, 2 solid spin-off movies, 1 decent film, 2 mediocre blockbusters that you forget the plot of five mimutes after leaving the theater, and three gloriously bad trainwrecks that almost go back around to being good but not quite.
Aaron Morgan
It's fan-fiction, stop wasting your time with it everything ended with ROTJ.
Owen Mitchell
>Disney shouldn't have thrown away George's original scripts for the sequel trilogy. You and I both know he never actually had one of these. Yes, he CLAIMED that he planned a full trilogy, prequel trilogy, and sequel trilogy, from the beginning. However, all practical evidence points to the contrary, including the fact that the only good movies were the ones where he was involved, but had the least control (new hope, and empire, where Spielberg was reigning him in,) and absolutely everything indicates that he literally all-nightered the script to the prequels in his room by himself like a procrastonating college student.
Lucas lied. We got two truly great movies and a mediocre franchise with sub-par worldbuilding. Two great movies is nothing to scoff at.
Xavier Russell
I completely agree with you. I wanted George's vision of microbiotic kino in the sequel trilogy, because it would've been so different (in a good way) compared to the shitty pastiche Disney gave us with their version of the sequel trilogy.
Hell book fanfiction is better. Should have copied those more not like anyone actually reads them.
Eli Evans
What is this expression trying to convey?
Isaac Allen
Not just Skywalker. This is the last episode of a 9 films saga, and they call it "rise of something". Imagine being that dumb
Carson Myers
Shrinking into Daisy or Padme's bodies? Why did Lucas quit!
Jackson Diaz
>This is the last episode of a 9 films saga >he doesn't know
Leo Cooper
Oh no giantess Daisy is about to eat me!!!
John Torres
The "Skywalker saga" was ruined from the moment it was coined. Because the prequels are complete shit.
Jackson Brown
>Galaxy-spanning republic with thousands of capital ships and millions of men >Completely destroyed down to 400 "rebels" and dismantled, controlling absolutely nothing >All of this happen within the span of a week between episode 7 and 8 >Right after the rebels had destroyed the super-mega deathstar that the first order somehow managed to build.
Jace Jackson
N-no you idiot! We planned to bring back Palpatine from the start. Can't you tell by all the foreshadowing we've done?
Samuel Wilson
That's life. you get old, and find out you're just a dick. All the greats are dead because they die at their peak.
William Wright
I might be wrong (vore).
Bentley Jenkins
I genuinely believe that they destroyed Luke's character purely out of spite for the fans who rightfully criticised the SJW muh girl powah Rey bullshit from Force Awakens.
It's all about white women user. They use some niggers here and there to clean the toilets and keep /pol distracted but look at who is in charge, all the top executives are white women, and who are the heores in these movies? White women, Rey, leia, Holdo, her big nosed lieutneant, Felicity Jones, Emilia Clarcke. Finn cleans toilets, Rose cleans toilets, Lupita Nyong'o is a cgi orange potato, DEY HEA is a fucking negress. White women are the cancer of society and you better get this right before it's tool ate.
Well Daisy just said it's over for her. Of course they will milk it ad nauseam but they're gonna move away from the sequels. In fact everything they're doing right now takes place before the sequels because even Disney knows there is no fucking future after this trash. This is what "the future is female" really means, ABSOLUTE DEATH, there's nothing after the sequels, it's a fucking nuclear watseland.
