About to watch Possum. Looks creepy as fuck.
About to watch Possum. Looks creepy as fuck
been meaning to watch this, did you start it op?
sean harris is very talented.
Yes. Holy fuck its creepy.
hell yeah man, going to check it out later tonight then
can someone please give me a full summary? the description on wikipedia is a joke, it's like two sentences.
>Directed by Garth Marenghi and starring Sean Harris
Well, I know what I'm watching tomorrow. Thanks OP, I didn't even know it existed.
Its definitely a David Lynch vibe but I have a feeling it will all come together in the end. The score is unnerving. Great acting especially the supporting actor. Good cinematography. Its building and I'm having anxiety sweats.
Its a mindfuck based on a puppeteer that carries around a large spider with a human head.
>Spell out the entire plot so I don't have to watch it
I wonder why this board is 90 percent off-topic shitpost? Besides the subpar moderation, I mean.
Aren't possums those cute rat creatures found in Australia? Why is there a spider on the cover?
I haven't finished it. Paused it. If you like David Lynch watch it.
I haven't felt this much anxiety since I saw Borgman.
I get it user, but I'm being genuine. I want to know the full summary or at least a better one than what's up right now. if it still interests I will watch it.
more info please? is the spider a living spider?
ended up starting it right away, really excited. the opening titles alone are tense.
maybe the character is nicknamed possum?
looks like it will either be great or total shit, no in between
Oh man. Wait until you see him roll in bed.
It's a puppet but it's a mindfuck and becomes alive sometimes
Disgraced Children's puppeteer goes back to his childhood home, has creepy puppet, has fucked up stepdad that has some weird shit going on, apparently it's a mystery and you only find out what's happening in the last few minutes. A creepy slow burn.
does that mean the character is just hallucinating or it somehow actually comes alive occasionally?
Literally false advertisement
I'm just guessing, I don't know if that's it.
sounds good... I've just ended up wasting too much of my own time watching something that shits the bed in the last 30 minutes.
I didn't like this. It had great atmosphere and a gritty look/feel, but ended up being disappointed. It would have been a lot better if it had been more subtle or ambiguous about the main dude's past.
would you please give me the full story user? spoiler it for me?
>will haunt you long after you watch it
>will give your brain chemicals you're designed to hate long after you watch it
>5 stars
Why are horror fans so retarded?
It's secretly a documentary about the Jews doing 9/11 under operation codename Possum.
Why are you such a pussy faggot?
dude reddit does a discussion for almost every release, even smaller stuff. i'm sure you can find a full summary there.
now I know you're lying because that's the kino that we will never get.
Here's what I remember:
The movie is kind of played out so you don't know if this guy went away because he was a pedo or was abused, as you're pretty sure he is crazy but not sure if he is a predator or a victim. Turns out he was just abused and at the end stops his creeper pedo relative from harming another child.
Would've been way better if they managed to write the ending in such a way that you still weren't sure, or maybe it was both, or whatever. As it was, it felt like a wet fart nothing ending and what was previously slow-burn dark atmosphere just becomes kind of boring.
I thought it was great until he had sex with the possum and you realize the possum is black under his white fur. Race traitor BULLSHIT.
too much film out there has endings that won't commit to one thing or another. isn't a decisive ending the opposite of a wet fart?
ok i went to leddit. the full summary someone on there posted has hooked me. I'm such a sucker for dark and twisted kinos that revolve around serial killers and child abuse.
It was solid. I watched just because of Garth Marenghi.
Usually I'd agree but all of the tension and atmosphere of the film come from not knowing where the danger comes from or what really is going on because of an unreliable narrator, and when the reveal is just as basic and plain and uneventful as possible it completely deflates any tension or mood. I feel like better movies with similar atmosphere leave you in a way that lets the tension/unease remain in your mind, and you keep thinking about what you saw. This movie was a bit unsettling in the moment but completely forgettable.
I'll have to give it a watch.
Why can't Brits into CGI or puppetry? Also this version was better.
I'm not trying to put it down, really. More just disappointed because it had a lot of potential.
>I watched just because of Garth Marenghi
Also this
I'm still intrigued even if the tension gets sucked out as you said.
Is the puppet all cgi?
No it's real
