What the fuck? You lied to me Yea Forums, you said this was kino but it honestly felt like an absurd parody of a soap opera. The premise was interesting enough and the ingredients were there at the beginning but the nonsense kept pilling up and the plots kept taking retarded turns. The second part of season 2 was genuinely hard to watch with how shit it was.
At this point im not really sure if the film and the sequel are even worth watching.
Best tv series of all time. Its charm is lost on plebs who can't appreciate atmosphere, lore-building, surreal horror with a dash of lynchian kitsch. Stick to your videogames zoomer trash

It’s people like you that are responsible for me having to live in a culture of absolute fucking shit. FUCK YOU

Apparently they were not supposed to reveal the killer until the season finale but since the ratings were declining they chose to do so in the middle of the season. What the fuck were they thinking? "Lets take away the hook of the series to boost the ratings?"
Cameron Collins
I hated that stupid nun so much. Ruined cooper's character, he had so much chemistry with Audrey but for someone reason they dropped the whole thing for that Titanic faggot no one cares about.
Chase Green
“It got very stupid and goofy in the second season; it got ridiculous,” Mr. Lynch said in a phone interview, explaining that he was not involved with the show after Laura’s killer was revealed in the second season. “I stopped watching that show because it got so bad.”
Any other shows about comfy towns with quirky characters?
Luis Turner
The first season is one of the best TV seasons of all time, Season 2 however is a bit messy. Twin Peaks is partially a parody of soap opera, but its influence of legitimizing long form soap opera type story lines by incorporating horror, fantasy, sci fi, etc. into the narrative is worth appreciating.

I refuse to believe this is the same person. I get that people get uglier and older but this is on a whole different level
Watch the return! It is some of the best tv that has come out in the last few years, scratch that decade. Also watch the movie, i'm sure you will like it!
Robert Price
Don't even watch the two seasons. Shit is retconned by the end of the third. Half the characters aren't even mentioned, like Pete and Catherine and her brother.
She and Cooper's actor were dating at the time so she didn't want there to be an onscreen romance between him and Audrey. Idk why she would have cared about one but not the other
Easton Myers
call me a pleb but I think the show would have been better without any blatant supernatural. not saying it should be in any way realistic, the characters could have been just as offbeat, just without visions and demons and shit.
Carson James
maybe if you werent a total lose, retrd. seiously, kil yourself

It was ABC network that heavily pressured Lynch, Frost, and co. into solving the murder midway through the season, "killing the goose that laid the golden egg" as Lynch put it in the Lynch on Lynch book. The network head at the time apparently hated the show, and thought interest would wane over time. Who knows though, perhaps he was right.
If Lynch had his way, the show would have went on for as long as possible, as Laura Palmer's murder was meant to be a macguffin to ensnare the viewer in all of the characters storylines and drama. Whether this would be a good thing depends; I'd have loved to have seen more of the lodge lore revealed, Cooper involvement and the series getting more progressively occult/ esoteric, but at the same time storylines involving characters like James and Donna or other less intersting characters would have been drawn out. Ugh.

That first image is dank as fuck I'm gonna hit my vape to it

Do I have to watch Twin Peaks to watch the movie and return?
Jacob Walker
it would be dumb not to
twin peaks s1 > twins peaks s2 til e9 > movie > return > s2 after e9

would you have like it more if there were some kvetching jews in it?

Show ruining spoilers below. Dont read if you've never seen the show.
I get that the demon is meant as a metaphor but it would have felt a lot more poignant if the father actually raped Laura, the demon possession stuff takes too much away by exempting him of any guilt.
I like the core of a story to be on its face value, if that makes me a pleb than so be it.
Dominic Collins
well fwwm implies its always been a bit of both

She didn't fuck up her face with plastic surgery because she stopped caring. She did it because she cared too much.
I love twin peaks. It has changed my life. There are things in this world that we cannot explain.good and evil forces exist and they are beyond our understanding. We are caught in the middle of the two, we are the doers of good and the victims of evil. Sometimes it's best to leave some stones unturned. Some are born gifted, some are born damned. I love twin peaks.

its okay, brainlets have a second chance for surrealist 90s kino.
>FWWM + S3 are nothing like the original seasons at all, and they're the best part of the series Its actually the worst and only gets redeemed by the finale of S3, but okay. All the Dougie shit was a huge waste of time.

That was Bob, not Leland.

My favorite thing about TR shit eaters is they literally never have an actual rebuttal to why it was disappointing and in many aspects poorly executed. They just reply with stale, two year old images and lynched.
Camden Torres
Look into what Lynch says about meditation and the Kali Yuga, there's a lot of metaphors for Eastern religion in this shiw
Xavier Foster
Kek, she looks like my girlfriend's bitchy sister.

>disappointing this complaint in particular implies a lot of expectations. Having expectations is step 1 of getting Lynched.
If you made it to the end of season 2 and weren't intrigued by anything at all that you saw in the finale, then there's nothing you'll like about season 3. I was barely invested in the show outside of the brief glimpses you get of the Black Lodge early on, but once that ending hit, goddamn. I still think about it from time to time, how powerful it was during that first viewing.
Alexander Robinson
It was Bob acting through Leland. That was the guy's entire point. Bob possessing him gives Leland somewhat of an excuse for his insane behavior, although there are other scenes in the show that indicate Leland might just also be a piece of shit himself.

You've answered your own question. There's never some message you absolutely have to get with something, make your own interpretation based on what you know and actually think it through.
