It just felt very self indulgent, there was too much of it, they could've shaved off a couple episodes and it would've been fine.

This. 49 minute episodes shouldn't feel like 3 hours of David sitting around talking shit to that old chick

season 2 was 11 episodes. 1 and 3 are only 8

i really only felt it dragged in the two very self-contained episodes, the one where david has to loop around syd's life many times, and the one where we see possible lives david could've lived where his sister didn't die. maybe with 8 episodes those would've been only sequences inside episodes, and not whole episodes. but oh well

The monk is fucking things up, then Fukuyama is fucking things up, then it's some random monster that was generated out of something, then Farouk might've been behind these things but probably not. Then Farouk completely goes out of his way to fuck with David's sister even though he already was on good terms with David and they had a common goal etc..

Everyone in this show is so wishy-washy that it really doesn't matter what anyone says and it's all about pretty pictures and tumblr-grade gif sequences.

its a whole allegory of the relations between the characters, the lessons and monologues scenes explain the character's way of thinking and you can see most delusions talked about in the final episode
