If the ring corrupts anyone that touches it then why didn't they just carry it like this? Honestly, think about it rationally.
If the ring corrupts anyone that touches it then why didn't they just carry it like this? Honestly...
because it would have corrupted the bindle and stick and then what would they carry stuff in?
Because then they still would've been carrying it.
That bindle is no different than a necklace.
If ther's no contact it's safe.
because the ring still draws somebody to touch it
it's the reason why they never cast it into the ocean, they knew that they don't know what lies in the ocean that could pick it up and be led into mordor
not true the ring corrupted bilbo for years until he was free from it and he kept it in a lockbox
>If the ring corrupts anyone that touches it then why didn't they just carry it like this? Honestly, think about it rationally.
The bag would have developed a tiny rip that the ring fell out of
why didn't they just have sex?
>INCELDUR NOOOOOOOOO
>he kept it in a lockbox
He constantly touched it.
>If ther's no contact it's safe.
Says who?
The real question is, how did Bilbo hide the ring for decades in his house and not fall to temptation?
>how did Bilbo hide the ring for decades in his house and not fall to temptation?
Temptation to do what?
Bilbo didn't want to destroy the Ring. The Ring was biding its time, hoping to go unnoticed until Sauron's time had come.
Common sense ? I mean the ring was in a stream for decades and afaik the fishies didn't turn crazy.
>why didnt they just use the eagles
>why didnt Gandalf just ride Frodo on his horse super fast
If you would have shown me LotR and then said "there will be brainlets who are too dumb to understand the symbolism of the One Ring", I would have thought you were lying.
>Common sense ?
Based on what?
>I mean the ring was in a stream for decades and afaik the fishies didn't turn crazy.
Why would it? What does turning the fishes into gollums accomplish for the Ring?
Do you remember that the Ring whispered to people even though they didn't touch it?
Boromir never touched the ring or was a ringbearer and it still corrupted him.
that way the ring would have had it more easy to escape
Bilbo already had everything he ever wanted at the end of the hobbit
there was nothing for the ring to tempt him with
>ring slips out of bundle
>ringbearer doesn't notice for days
>random orc finds the ring.
>Sauron wins
And Sauron never even considered Hobbits as a threat when making the One Ring so it's power wasn't as strong over them as it was with Elves and Men.
>What does turning the fishes into gollums accomplish for the Ring?
Same question applies to Smeagol. What did the ring gained being carried by a slimy creature crawling in caves ?
>What did the ring gained being carried by a slimy creature crawling in caves ?
It was biding its time waiting for Sauron's power to grow.
It was better to be in the hands of a corrupted hobbit than at the bottom of a river, undiscovered.
Eventually the Ring would've made Gollum take it to Mordor had Bilbo never found it.
In fact, the Ring left Gollum because it saw in Bilbo the chance to leave Gollum's cave.
Jesus it's like you've never read the books.
I've only read Bilbo the Hobbit, and clearly Gollums situation was a dead end for the ring, he could have stayed in this cave until his death, he had no intention to go elswhere and was absolutely immune to the ring's will at this point.
You give humans to much credit, there’s millions of retards who’ve watched the movies
