Mark Hamill can sound like a cute and innocent doll and a deranged killer wanting revenge in the same movie, plus sing a cute song. So Hamill is the better choice.

That's the only line in the movie that the Doll had any fucking character and charisma. Everything else was just either the same melancholy lines over and over in an attempt to make it feel creepy or even make you sympathize with it. That movie took too long to become a Childs Play movie. The first have felt like ET for christ's sake and the middle felt like Small Soldiers and only at the very end was there spirit of Childs Play hidden behind an ugly doll mixed with dodgy CGI. I would've enjoyed the movie so much more if it didnt try to hop on a nostalgia train for the originals.
