So in the end who was he really? Andrew or Teddy?

In the end we will never know the real answer because they edited to make it more audience friendly because the original ending was supposedly too scary and depressing

He was shutter.

Have you watched the movie?

>t. brainlet

I need to rephrase my question. I meant was he really a patient at the facility or was he (Teddy) actually right about them drugging him and fabricating a story to make him BELIEVE that he's a patient there?

I think you missed the entire point of the end

Im on the same meds as him kek

Both He couldnt get over the fact he killed his wife so kept becoming the other dude they try to snap him out of it one last attempt before labotamy and at the end he goes back to his alt character so it didnt work whats not to get

Wrong

Yes he was a paranoid schizo with delusions of being a Cop , but we have all been there Right Guys

How so

It did work, but he chose to have himself lobotomized anyway because he couldn't live with what he did.

The experiment did work but he pretended it didn't so they would labotomize him on purpose

He pretended? Becasue he said something about living as a monster? Pretty sure they think it worked then moments later he starts to switch as he doesnt want to be who he is.but havent seen it years.

that is some hardcore dedication to keeping your neet bux

that's entirely open for interpretation, he could just as easily have relapsed

The roleplay did work. He snapped back to who he actually is (Andrew). However, he can't live with his past anymore so he pretends to be Teddy (the marshal) again in the end, signaled by the "we gotta get off this rock, Chuck" line. This prompts them to take him to be lobotomized. Then he says the "which would be worse, to die as a good man or live as a monster", which implies that he's actually sane. And lastly he doesn't respond to Chuck when he says "Teddy?".

there wasnt really an option here
he was a patient and «understood» at the end, but pretended to be retarded (just like you) to get lobotomized
was I just trolled right now?

this

He was island you retard

He baited all of us

Id rather live as a monster than live as a brain dead retard .

See that's the beauty of this movie. It's completely up to interpretation.

t. Retard

Its about did which can snap back and forth between personalities so how do you know he didnt snap back to andrew then teddy then andrew then teddy in that short amount of time its possible we do it all the time

an those meds kek

In Bong he would be found fit for work and been sent for an interview at the sheriffs office

You're wrong
It's not

The book doesnt end with that line. The line that makes it seem hes choosing when it doesnt even make sense as hes not being killed, yeah he will never be the same but hes still a monster

More like teddy joined andrews wish instead of "running" from the truth they both wanted it to end.

The whole point is that in HIS mind he won't be a monster anymore. He'll forget all about his past.

Only if you sre retarded

How is that being a man? It doesnt make sense, a man would accept what he had done boo hoo you killed your wife durrr she murdered your children its justified no no teddy realised how much a bitch andrew was and wanted out he didnt want to share so decided to end it thats the real ending.
