I think it's different with Endgame. They went with a safe ending. It does very little to challenge the audience, but it seems very much like an ending for three characters. While episode 7 was supposed to be a brand new beginning to star wars and it's meh. If you're not interested in more avengers, well, good? It's the end. If you're not interested in more episode 7, then they fucked up. I think infinity war is the more exciting and compelling movie, but at least endgame doesn't try to just copy IW like 7 copied 4.
