Paying £12 I can't afford for the one showing of What We Left Behind later.

Will keep you posted before it's free on Netflix in a month.

Currently we cannot. Thei weird licensing means they cannot make proper canonical Trek. The people making it are SJWs. All we can do is wait for it to die off for now and restart sometime in the future if all this garbage ever passes.

What did Barkley mean by this?

You know, it feels pretty good to not have seen most Star Trek episodes ever made and watching TOS or TNG for the first time, in a time where the ST movies and STD are a thing.

Completely remove it from the galaxy like stargate universe except make it good or set it thousands of years in the future, basically just remove all the baggage

Like star wars?

Sounds nice. I've watched everything now and the future is brighter. It's worth it for online discussion though. I was fed up being an obvious casual.

Star wars doesn't have the baggage that trek does, all the bullshit time travel episodes have predicted what has to happen

he's right bros

STD season 3 reportedly takes place 800+ years after TNG/DS9/Voyager so they can do whatever the hell they want now.

They'll fuck it up, but the possibility is there at least.

No it is not. If they manage to somehow finance it god help us all.

More Pike. It’s sad that the last episode of season 2 made me wish more for Pike and not Discovery.

>The people making it are SJWs.
as opposed to the guy who had a black woman and white man kiss in the sixties?

WM/BF isn’t SJW because it gives power to the white man. Interracial is only supported by SJWs when its BM/WF

it's absolutely sjw in the context of segregation.

What needs saving about Star trek?

It's always been met with controversy. But the classics are indellable. The video games pretty engaging.
The style,a bit expensive and requires skill to tailor it right.
The board games.....kinda quiet currently I think.
It was just attack wing.
Star Trek isn't doing anything to get the younger demographic in terms of kids series, cartoon. As well as action figure and models.

I think as far as using Star trek as a graphic design trend is in the pits.
There's cool memes.
But is there cool licenced trek shit you can put on a shirt button belt pants shoes etc posters.

Just let it die. Maybe 20 years from now someone will have a good idea that doesn't piss off 2/3 of the potential consumers.

Bring back the guy in OP

The NEW Adventures of Commodore Barclay

The pah wraiths escape from the fire caves and take over the wormhole, allowing the Dominion to return.

True, Treks always been progressive. In the old days at least they cared about the story. Modern SJWs dont. They just use games, shows, movies or whatever they can get their hands on to further their agenda. Thats why its crap.

Exactly this.

They either have no desire to tell a good story, or they have no talent to craft a good story. And when one calls out their writing as shit, they go apeshit. Further proving they’re nothing but the entitled manchildren they perceive others to be. You can’t have a conversation with them.

Is Sisco atheist? He talks to the prophets but I think he does not believe

he's literally a half-breed and met them numerous times, how could he not believe. i think there was one episode where he pointed out that he is still vague about all this stuff and being a prophet. he accepted it, but didn't believe it fully till i think he met them or saw what importance his role holds.

>Currently we cannot.
>The weird licensing means they cannot make proper canonical Trek. The people making it are SJWs. All we can do is wait for it to die off for now and restart sometime in the future if all this garbage ever passes.
Ironically, the best chance to save Star Trek would come in the form of a corporate re-merger and resurrected Viacom that puts Star Trek in the hands of people who actually value the classic IP and want to make great Star Trek television and films in that universe. It's not going to happen with CBS for a variety of reasons. CBS has made a massive investment in their thinly-veiled nuTrek reboot. They dumped a massive amount of time, labor, and material into producing STD Season 1. Things like the sets, costumes, makeup, CGI assets, etc. can't just be written-off as a loss and they won't be. They'll keep making nuTrek forever because CBS amortized the cost of producing STD across however many seasons, which will underperform such that they'll never stop chasing the sunk cost fallacy.

That all could change with a Viacom re-merger. They could work-out those toxic assets in the process and also jettison the scores of fags and females that were brought on at the start of #MeToo and the Clinton campaign and who have turned into a massive activated wokebots who have been smearing period blood and poz loads all over their programming. They would, of course, replace them with ample "diversity", but they'ld get to vet them for competence and sanity.

The re-merger would also obviously solve whatever licensing issues exist.

Do you ever effortpost when you're on the clock or is it all just random cut-and-paste in these threads to boost your client's desired topics / IPs? I would assume you would have to, but there has to be some policy or procedure for when and how and how much. Does your employer promise the client x number of effortposts per day or what?

Are these follow-ups also pasta? I would imagine it's trivial to have a list of all-purpose "sick burns" which also have follow-ups for the inevitable (you)'s

/GoT/ is finally over so it can come back.

Make Voyager 2

This. It must reach the end of this failed trajectory before it can be rebooted properly.

Voyager was too brainy.

I really wanted to like the Orville and I enjoyed the first season, but S2 was a huge disappointment. They replaced Alara with a beat-up goblina roastie, went beyond full retard with gayniggers, dropped any pretense of sci-fi plots, and replaced them with more crew relationship drama, of which only one really worked (Claire and Issac episode).

I will never understand why Seth didn't just start the whole series in medias res, with the crew already serving with each other for years so at least when he plunged into the "character stories", it would at least be somewhat believable from their perspective (not that we would be any more attached to them).

Disco got renewed, bud.

I have to agree here. Troi really wasn't all that. Ro was the best TNG waifu.

Why does Picard's brother hate him?

You jest and quip but inside, you're crying.

cos he's a frog

>Why does Picard's brother hate him?
It's practically (if not explicitly) spelled-out in the episode. He resents him for being better at the more adventuresome skills that are a part of Picard family lore and fucking off to outerspace while he is left to toil on the family raisin farm or whatever the fuck they do.

Star Trek: Redshift
>a large, close proximity, collection of desirable planets to colonize were discovered somewhere in the milky way. The federation is doing some sort of mega operation where they are going to settle all at once to create some new eden BS / new heart of the federation or whatever. A large convoy (20 starships + colony ships and materials / few million people) are sent in this grand voyage. They all disappear along the way. Turns out some space magic or whatever sent the fleet to the galaxy Cosmos Redshift 7. The people are left with no choice but to settle here. they find 1 suitable planet, which becomes earth 2.0 / this galaxys federation headquarters, they set up what tech they can and then it's essentially status quo as they look for new planets to settle in this system.
story can be about one of those escort starships now on a mission in this galaxy to find additional suitable worlds to settle as that was this convoys mission, even if it has gone a lot off course. You get: new aliens, new alien tech, no interference from home galaxy, the same sort of setting as voyager but with enough additional population and ships that it's essentially a new mini starfleet somewhere else. this also means you can do a minor tech regression or stagnation so things don't need to get even more OP then TNG.

It's a vineyard, you bobo.

By taking it out from behind the paywall and giving it to writers who actually appreciate Roddenberry's vision of a brighter, more optimistic future instead of gritty, morally grey season-long story arcs that make future humanity look just as bad as modern humanity, if not worse.

Also, clarify the timeline. If you've got such a boner for moving past the aesthetic and the conventions of the previous series, have the fucking sense to set it further in the future instead of introducing anachronistic tech into a past that the fans are already familiar with.

>Star Trek: Generations is not canon
I'm ok with this, but only if you strike the entire TNG film series and replace with a recreation of the "future" scenes in All Good Things... using the TNG actors at their actual ages now (which lines up almost perfectly)

You talk as though any of this matters in the slightest to Hollywood execs.

I could get behind this.

Unironically this. All of you smooth brains going on about how muh angry at sjws ruining muh trek clearly have never actually paid attention watching trek.

Post the sex mutant as klingon

We can't. The creative team behind the golden years are long gone. Berman and co took the best of Roddenberry, and had enough time and vision to build up the lore we have today. No one can replicate that, not even the fan projects. There might one day be a new star trek creative team that does something equally brilliant, but with it's own flair like Berman did with TNG compared to TOS, but we won't get his trek again.

On the SJW front, the reason it doesn't work is because they're in control. It's not presented as the liberal "voice of reason" against a greater power, it's a deliberate move to present minorities in positions of power as an overt political statement, like Michael from STD. Not only that, but in order to portray her as strong, they can't show her being respectful of her superiors at any point, to the extent she mutinies. It's just part of the course of history that this ideology has taken this stance at this point. Star trek will behave like this until it loses that power.

The black on white kiss in tos was actually brave because it wasn't socially acceptable at the time. This has nothing to do with SJWs who are cowards who follow the trends.

>TOS-ENT trek portrayed a racially/socially cohesive society, so you have no right to criticise the strong female lead vulcan-nerve pinching her captain

I encourage further posts like this because it aligns with my own views.

Disobedience is a constant theme in star trek, you bicycle.

Trek showed both sides of the argument and let the viewer make up their own mind. No side was absolutely right or wrong, and many episodes did not have a definite conclusion.

Star Trek is a good anti loneliness drug.

>Not only that, but in order to portray her as strong, they can't show her being respectful of her superiors at any point, to the extent she mutinies.
100% Agreed. I caught an episode with Captain Pike in Season 2, and I was amazed how disrespectful to the chain of command Michael was being. They were giving a briefing but Michael was the center of attention, was the one giving orders, and constantly pushing mission plans. Pike had no place there.

I honestly thought "Wow. Who is the Captain here? Pike or Michael? Why are the writers even pretending at this point. They might as well make her Captain and get rid of any formalities. It's quite clear she is the smartest, bravest, strongest, and most experienced female in the crew. Why is the point of Captain Pike in this show? He's always getting corrected by Michael."

Reed confirmed as brapfag.

>Disobedience is a constant theme in star trek, you bicycle.
"_____ was always a thing" posting is my favorite cope to witness. You can literally justify anything by taking instance(s) out of context, pointing to them, and claiming they justify your absurdities.

Whenever crews disobeyed it was earned. To compare TNG spent years showing Riker to be a loyal first officer, and he only disobeyed the captain or an admiral it was when they were compromised, or acting against starfleet as a whole. Michael does it on episode one, and only because she puts her own ego first. The captain made her own decision, there was no reason for her to act as she did. Since it's the first episode, we don't have any reference to see her loyalty and it comes off as childish.

You do realize women can be smart right?

>You do realize women can be smart right?
You realize that has fuck all to do with anything, right? If you had a shred of intellectual honesty you'ld just admit that shit like STD exists as a vehicle to stage scenes that give women a steady drip of the fee fees they are entitled to feel. They don't give two queefs about Trek or if anything on that goddamn show is plausible, follows a premise, or makes any sense whatsoever. They just want to see Mike Burn 'em and Friends quip and win and own and crush it.

tfw the crew of TNG isn't my family.

>They just want to see
oh, and by that i mean they're glad those scenes exist and literal nanzi manbabies are made angry by them. By all accounts, very few actually watch the show.

jeez, dude. it's just a show ffs

STD wrote itself into the corner in which two strong female leads brushed up against eachother and neither could consider the other's opinion, or else they'd have to drop their ego. Picard in that situation would have listened to Riker, or Kirk to Spock, and either they'd have a good retort, or alter their course of action. First officers often give valid council and it's the duty of the captain to listen to the crew. It's what they're there for. It's also why you can trust the captain and do what they say when they give orders. If you disagree past that point, you keep it to yourself.

If Michael was so smart then why did she start a war. really makes you think

Which has nothing to do with the post. There is a still a chain of command on the bridge that must be honored. You don't interrupt the captain while he's speaking, disrespect them, or take away the discussion from them. Captain Pike is the leader, and makes the final call. Not Michael. If Saru or someone else was leader then respect would be given to them. But Michael railroads over whoever is in-charge always.

Were you in the military?

A title means nothing. If the leader is weak, he'll be sidelined.

>First officers often give valid council and it's the duty of the captain to listen to the crew. It's what they're there for

No. This is a conversation about the fictional bridge crews in the science fiction television series, Star Trek. I'm drawing a comparison between the earlier shows, and Star Trek: Discovery. The Federation is not a military organisation.

>If Michael was so smart then why did she start a war.
She didn't. She merely was true to herself and her truth and her actions reflected that. The war and whatever else are things that just happened and aren't her fault, ok?

You realize Starfleet isn't the same thing as the Federation, right casual?

Oh-oh!!!! BUUUUURN

Sometimes, when I'm really angry and frustrated with the direction my life is going, I come here and rage at minutia inconsistencies in an extremely successful franchise.

Exactly. There's a huge difference between doing something that bold in the height of the civil rights era and pretending as if that era never ended, tilting at social cause windmills that only really exist in the rarified spaces between the writers' ears. Star Trek has had black captains, asian captains, female captains, female authority figures of every possible rank and distinction. They can stop pretending they're being so brave by having a black Mary Sue whose only flaw is not being able to make people see she's right sooner.

Kirk, Picard, Janeway, Sisko, Archer, they all had flaws. They all had moments of doubt. They faced actual moral dilemmas, and that's what made them endearing and resonant, the fact that they were frequently in unknown territory, both figuratively as well as literally.

So will the Picard show actually show how stuff is progressing after DS9? There are so many interesting things to touch on, but I'm afraid it'll be an incompetent mess.

Because they're a cool and interesting race, with a neat philosophy and a relationship with the other races in the Dominion.
I wish the Jem'Hadar's thoughts on the Founders were more readily developed.

Klingons are boring and overrated. Only Worf and Martok are interesting because they're actual characters and not stereotyped NPCs like the others. Discuss.

Why? I agree.
Fuck Klingons.
Cardassians > Romulans > Ferengi > Dominion > Federation > Klingons

Emperor Google eyes was pretty cool

tbqh are signs of dystopia in TNG. A very disproportionate number of authority futures we see are corrupt, misguided, or following bad orders from the Federation. The main reason we see it as a utopia is the upbeat tone of the series and that the main authority figure we see is Picard.

I wish DS9 had lasted long enough to see a fullblown gem haddar rebellion.

There were so many interesting hints that the gems were capable of thinking for themselves, I'd have loved to see a meaningful faction of them give the founders the finger and fuck off / ally with the Feddies

when's the meet up, bros?

>of authority futures
Figures. Autocorrect is cucking me hard today.

Martok is forever my kligga tho

Worf and Martok are the only ones who actually believe in the Klingon principles of honour and self-sacrifice. The rest of the race are all homicidal gloryhounds and maniacs who just want to prey on weaker races and genocide them.

It's not that boring, and the pacing issues are entirely in the second act and not even that bad.
What's really under-appreciated about it is that they didn't give the fans exactly what they wanted and dared to show the characters and their relationships as broken and jaded, and they don't really reconcile until the end. People mistook it's subtlety for monotony.

Nah. Most likely it'll be a microcosm, Picard walking around and doing stuff in a modern-day setting with some "futurey" set dressing and flying cars in the background, reminiscing about the old days.
It's likely there'll be no serious exploration of the lore or interstellar politics because that's not what normies are looking for. Unless it's the most pleb-tier crap like "Vulcan is leaving the federation" or "those wacky romulans shot down 47 Klingon warbirds again" with shitty 'reimagined' uniforms and alien makeup.
Expect an overhyped low-budget nostalgia fest with like 12 episodes and zero mention of DS9 stuff.

Never, fuck off

*growls in your path*

That's what conventions are for

oh

>When the producers of Deep Space Nine were casting Martok, Herzler auditioned after initially not considering the role but found himself getting angry during the interview due to a comment from the director which he felt was insulting. But this response led to him gaining the role, and it was included as a character trait for Martok.[1]

It cannot be saved. Just like dc movies. The incompetence runs too deep.

>implying people here would dare go to a con.

Here's to the gayest crew in Starfleet!

I go to cons, but I don't interact with anyone though, just buy shit and watch panels. Everyone is autistic and cringy which can be embarrassing in the moment, but it makes for some funny stories. The Q&As are cancer.

Let's discuss Ducat's arc again. Were you satisfied?

Why don't you wanna talk to people there?
You could make new friends.

>Ugh, CUHRINGE! I'm too cool to talk to you losers. I'm just going to sit by myself silently

Attached: 1-800-Beam-Me-Up.gif (305x242, 1.89M)

Why are the Q&As bad?

I'm too poor to go to a con

At least he had the penis to actually go.

Are O'Brien and the got guy gay?

and yet he was too much of a dick to have fun

I've been going to 1701 for years and every single time I open the tab there's always THAT guy making cringe comments over and over. It's like he's an alien entity that has power over the mods and they're afraid of him or something. Last time I was there he was literally making shitting sounds and adding bizarre commentary from the episode being shown. Don't get me started on the in-jokes these people have, calling keiko cakehole and changing the cast's names and whatever. I honestly couldn't give a shit about any of it up until I had to endure what was the end of every couple of episodes where they shoehorn some heavily edited video their local tranny "musician" made with absolutely TERRIBLE music, it's like breakbeat but made by someone with no skill or training, 4minutes+ of this shit the fucking cringe man, and they have multiple videos of this shit going on. At least in the past you could just go through the list they had on display and watch whatever ep you wanted while the group watched VOYAGER but they even hid that the absolute fucks. Don't even bother to want to watch some trek on the weekend there because it's movie weekend, or MOOBIES like these dweebs like to call it. Last time I saw them actually stream a trek movie was the first time these fucks shoehorned this shit as an excuse to watch movies aka fucking forever ago. And you can't even try to connect with these people because you're basically held hostage to sit and listen to them drone on about unfunny stupid shit 90% of the time, their daily boring routine lives or their shitty jobs for hours and hours. Absolutely horrible congregation of cringe.

You can see how O'Brien reacted to prime Keiko in Rascals, so I'll leave it for you to decide.

/TREK/ IS BACK, BABY!
YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHH

Some if the posts in this thread I find entertaining. Some. Not all.
Most of you still have a long way to go.

He;s not wrong though, I force myself to talk because I want to improve my social skills.
However most people on cons are still insanely cringe.

And they NEVER improve.

>got guy
Fucking zoomer, it's Siddig El Tahir El Fadil El Siddig Abderrahman Mohammed Ahmed Abdel Karim El Mahdi.

How are they cringe? Explain please.

no speako dego

No self-awareness. Insecure body language. No sense of personal space. One-dimensional personality and can't to carry or maintain a conversation for more than 30 seconds.

The Centari Empire will not stand for this outrage!

Oh yeah. Non-existent eye contact. Ever. I talk to a klingon dude and he was just staring at his phone, kinda ruined the whole experience for me...

Muad’dib?

He was probably there on a gig and was busy.

Tasha escaped the rape gangs.

You shouldn't be intimidated by /sci/. 99% of posters there are retarded undergrads LARPing.

Hire Seth MacFarlane.

She won't talk to you.

Sounds like they were just avoiding you.

I always was concerned that Moriarty was intelligent enough to eventually discern that he was still living in a holomatrix. He'd have to live out his days placating his girlfriend while knowing he wasn't truly free

Here's the thing though, a re-merger wouldn't guarantee an actual Star Trek show. Kurtzman or his assistants could still be at the helm of the franchise. Look at the recent changes at LucasFilm for example, Kennedy chose a former production assistant of JJ Abrams as the new head of the live-action division of LucasFilm despite JJ leaving after Episode 9.

I just got back from watching the DS9 documentary & who popped up on it? Bashirfaggot!

It's done. Let it die.

You are all of those things though.

TREKS DEAD BABY

Hey 229 Watch Stargate SG-1

>Kurtzman or his assistants could still be at the helm of the franchise
Sherri Redstone, whatever else she is, by all accounts does not harbor a hatred of Star Trek, nor is she particularly dumb. Whatever favors Kurtzman is owed will quite possibly not extend across a re-merger and I don't think loyalty to the tribe would be nearly enough to let him keep fucking up what he's fucking up. Unless you buy into the next-level conspiracy theory that the destruction of Star Trek is a CIA / Deep State psy op on par with the Rural Purge of the early 70s, it's not likely Viacom would be keen on perpetuating nuTrek.

*ahem*
Fuck Picard
Fuck the Federation
Fuck spooniggers

Starfleet is a space-faring organisation belonging to the United Federation of Planets. It's primary mission is to seek out new life and new civilisations. It is not a military organisation.

BASED

Starfleet is arguably Paramilitary. You could make your argument for the merchant fleet and shits that carry some weapons but aren't even paramilitary-tier and then there's whatever the fuck that faggot that came along with the Traveler was a part of... the guys that wear starfleet uniforms but with no Starfleet insignia and a weird rank pip. But Starfleet is definitely paramilitary and would be full military if not for the "mission statement".

The fickleness of the distinction (as evidenced by the ease with which you could tell a mirror universe story where Starfleet is full military) would suggest it is some kind of new organization. Organized militarily, armed, trained, but not primarily purposed for war or policing. Basically, a fire department with guns. It more evidence that Star Trek is crypto- right wing, actually.

Why paramilitary and not just military?

>armed force
>military rank, chain of command
>defends sovereign territory
Starfleet is a military.

>Why paramilitary and not just military?
Because it's primary purpose is not warfare. Even paramilitary is stretching it, though. It's really something completely different, honestly. Like if a fire department or the faggots like the Surgeon General that are a part of uniformed commissioned service corps carried guns along with whatever they do. Military or /his/ fags would probably be able to shed more light on it, though.

It's really just Gene's scattershot and half-baked thinking resonating across space-time, though.

>starfleet is military
I sympathize with the desire for this to be true and I too think the FASA version of Trek from the 70's with the wargaming aspect was a step in the right direction, but TNG set it in stone, basically. Starfleet is not military.

>Because it's primary purpose is not warfare
How does that make sense? Starfleet is the Federation's primary military defense.

Ah shit, laddies. Certified VOY quinoa incoming.

How big is subspace?

Starfleet is essentially an organised group of pioneers and colonists. Think Christopher Columbus, but in space with a fleet. They have arms, but only use them when diplomacy fails. They do serve a government, but mostly for the purposes of expansionism, both strategically and intellectually. They scout and study, and meet and build relations with other races. The federation has no military because the shows ideology pushes the idea that a reasonable society has no need for one.

It's definitely a military.

Janeway getting an orgasm from her first gulp of coffee.

Why does the flagship of the federation military have a kindergarten on board?

Because they are also retarded.

>2019
>people still seething about the best Trek show
OH NO NO NO NO NO

Be more specific nigga.

It would be retarded for a military ship, but a colony ship? exploratory vessel? makes total sense.

just watch the orville instead and zone out during the dick jokes

There is gargantuan difference between modern SJW's and WWII veterans that aligned with progressives of 50's and 60's.

I'd love the Orville if LaMarr wasn't in it.

ds9 SuXx0rZ!!1!!1

>Starfleet is the Federation's primary military defense.
merely by default

>Why does the flagship of the federation military have a kindergarten on board?

Satan's Roboto became one of the good guys. Too bad he got zapped.

Make it an anthology series. Explore ideas, make risks, see what sticks.

>just watch the orville instead and zone out during the dick jokes
So I can watch characters having drinks and chatting about personal bullshit?

>Make it an anthology series. Explore ideas, make risks, see what sticks.
The perfect time to do that would have been in the early 00's and in place of Enterprise. They had all the production assets built up over 20 years to make a Star Trek anthology series most feasable. The Christie's auction removed that as a possiblity. It would all have to be redone, making the show literally many times more expensive than a traditional series.

If you got an anthology series now, it would be in the look and feel of nuTrek simply as a matter of economics and practicality.

Because rich & important men are often pedos in every timeline.

It's a military.
Same reason why civilians would travel with military caravans in previous centuries.
>Think Christopher Columbus, but in space with a fleet
Christopher Columbus wasn't rank and file tasked with defending Spain. Militaries have always done exploration, such as Zheng He's fleet in the 15th century.
>The federation has no military
That's like pointing a gun at someone and saying, "This isn't a gun. This is a projectile launching device of science."

cringe

Friendly reminder that STD is garbage but their 1701 is better than the JJ Abrams monstrosity.

More Spider-Broccoli episodes

Well at least they drink alcohol, not that gay synthehol.

syntehol is literally better

The Orville drinking game: take a drink every time a character takes a drink, references drinking, or gay black dudes appear on screen.

What's the point of drinking synthehol if you can't get any of the effects of alcohol?

Attached: synthehol is for fags.jpg (1280x720, 70K)

>he doesn't enjoy the taste
>he drinks for getting wasted

muh stronk woman of colour. God i hate STD Michael is boring as fuck what a shit character

Colony ship maybe, but they aren't colony ships.

By DS9 they were solidly military.

Best character in the series

why is she hot IRL but ugly in the show?

Why not both?

DS9 isn't Star Trek
DS9 isn't canon
DS9 went out of its way to be DIFFERENT
Kill yourself

>still pretending that alcohol tastes good
And let me guess, you smoke marijuana for the taste? Cigarettes for the taste?

I don't smoke

Alcohol and cigarettes taste fine.

Attached: CBS.jpg (319x93, 16K)

>By DS9 they were solidly military.
In that show, they were occupying a shitty space mall run by a black guy. It's a Boomer edge larp from the 90's. DS9 is not real Star Trek.

>You are all of those things though.
You know nothing about me

Mk nu bred

You're a brain dead lefty who isn't self aware enough to recognize his own bigotry.
