Or push maul back when it turns off and fall back until obi and qui gon can regroup? Maul was foaming at the mouth to fight him, he wouldn't have expected a force push. After all they're just trying to distract maul while Padme dies her thing.
Why didn't wui gon just wait for obi if maul was falling back? There was literally no rush to get to him, and his was a dead end.

Nigga, a force dash to skip the laser walls faster, not a lightspeed jump from where he's at to the end of the hallway in one go, that's just flying.
also if he did that retarded jump from a to b in one go, he can force push himself to stop just like he can force jump or lift himself like he does before killing maul.
And by qui gon force pulling obi I meant pulling him to skip more of those laser walls, before it activates, faster, that way they can regroup. It's a quick move and not something that takes a lot of concentration, something already shown in the film.
