Once there are over 100 replies or the thread hits archive (whichever happens latest), any film that is mentioned more than once will be entered into a shortlist and we'll take votes from there in a new thread.
Accept that this won't necessarily result in a definitive list of THE best film/s of the past two decades, but rather those considered top favourites by the broadest number of Yea Forums posters.
