The plot is very clear if you listen to the words that are being spoken which is obviously very difficult for a zoomer whose interactions with other human being are shallow yet over defined.

Now it's alright not to like this movie but the reasons you stated are lazy and unthoughtful.

The point of the film is drugs, not everyone hates fun so much that they can't enjoy fictionalized versions of people played by actors pretending to take drugs and go on an adventure and not enjoy it.

I'll never forget the first time I saw this movie. I was high af and the characters felt so relatable. In hindsight I like how it portrays the feelings of fear and disconnect with human society, specifically structures of authority and how mindless people go through life. It's a fantastic film if you're a woke person + the two main actors make a good team.

The movie is good, and it does a good job of trying to convey the point of the book, but I doubt that without reading the book most people will understand what was the point H.S. Thompson was trying to convey
