I watched the first episode and so far I am not really impressed by this show's historical accuracy.
IRL Dyatlov was not a retard who refused to believe in the explosion of the core for hours.
He only made a (wrong, but not unreasonable) assumption of it being a hydrogen tank explosion in the first minutes after the incident, after which he himself confirmed that it was in fact a reactor explosion.
His attempt to flood the core was also not unreasonable, even after the meltdown, he had no information on pumping\pipe system being destroyed at that time.
And people there were not running back and forth randomly, neither were they having deep conversations on the origins of the problem.
They were trying their best to extinguish multiple fires around the facility, preventing further escalation of the problem, while understanding perfectly that they are being heavily irradiated (All of the personnel had university degrees in nuclear physics, no brainlets there)
That scene with graphite flakes falling down in Pripyat like snow and children playing with it is also fucking retarded, remember what happened to the dude that tried to hold it for a second? Same shit would happen to all of them, instantly.

Oh and that old dude with a cane and everything about him is made up, the whole idea of using military police force to stop people from leaving, as well as cutting their phone lines is the most retarded thing I've heard so far in this show. It would only cause more panic than the event itself.

The ash comes from the fuel that forms the fire, in this case (according to IRL Legasov) the fuel for the fire was graphite, that formed the giant pillar of flame coming up for hundreds of meters from the destroyed reactor.
Only by-products of this giant pillar of flame could theoretically reach the Pripyat, not the stuff from the burning roof.
Also there was not smoke in that scene, only flakes.

Cutting the phone lines was real..Ukrainian leaders made that decision, it's in Midnight in Chernobyl verified by people who were there. As for sealing of the city, yes, they did that too. People who heard the gossip from friends with connections started to bail and were turned around from roadblocks. You couldn't just leave like that with the internal passport system, you needed to show a good reason to go anywhere. So some folks got smart and started requesting vacation time to run away to the summer camps and resort places.

Legasov talks about some of the stuff in the tapes I think he told Scherbina on the flight (can't remember atm), he gives the example of 3 mile island saying there was 17 causalties. It wasn't the radiation or explosion that killed the people, but rather the traffic accidents resulting from the panic. I can't be sure but the context was watching out for panic and doing a proper evacuation.

Not many saw her exposed spicy parts with their own eyes and lived to tell the tale. She's more pure than your average girl nowadays.

But my dad says he saw a lot of autistic features in Legasov and that he did not respond to things like a typical person would. Also that Legasov had family troubles which affected him quite badly, especially with his son (whom Tarakanov confirms was in a road accident where he hit someone) and according to my dad the son was also doing a lot of drugs and generally being a worthless piece of shit. Apparently there were some issues with the daughter too but all he would say is that "they were both very complex individuals and that caused problems".
