Why does everyone rave about THE INNER LIGHT. The inner light the inner light the inner light. Nothing happens in this stupid episode. Picard falls asleep, has a dream, has an ugly imaginary wife and some stupid imaginary kids, then he wake up and plays a flute. WOW

He out-Starfleeted the retards of the elite Red Squad

It's a neat episode, but I couldn't help but think:

The civilization which sent the probe into space was way behind the federation in terms of most technology, yet they managed to create a mind probe that could give someone a lifetime of memories and abilities in just 20 short minutes.

If they had such technology and also faced a shortage of time with their sun going supernova, why did they not simply zap some scientist's brain over and over and give him like 50 lifetimes to research and invent so he could develop the appropriate technology and bring that knowledge with him to save their planet?

Furthermore, once Captain Picard is disconnected from the probe and he's back in his quarters, Riker stops by to give him the flute. His exact words are "we were able to open the probe and examine it. Apparently, whatever had locked onto you must have been self-terminating, it isn't functioning anymore". This is an inadequate explanation. "Oh hey it shut itself off so I guess all's well that ends well!" Aw shucks Commander Riker, sounds good to me, let me play this stupid flute now...

In a real situation they would have taken that fucking thing back to a star fleet lab, had it dissected and reconstructed inside and out. It couldn't have been difficult given the fact that it was technology from an inferior species. It could have revolutionized how humans learn. Imagine, a 1 minute session with the probe could be a 5 year mind journey learning how to master the piano, or working on theoretical research. Since you can bring all of those memories forward with you, everyone could get educated with 10 lifetimes worth of information and skills within 5-10 minutes. Instead they throw it's existence away with some bullshit line.

Reminds me of that episode where they find the Promellian cruiser in the booby trap asteroid field. This is a once-in-a-lifetime archaelogical find, yet Picard is the only one who cares enough to beam over and the only thing he does is giving it a quick look before returning.
If it wasn't for the dampening field they would have left immediately instead of beaming over one more time to find the log on the bridge and learn what happened there.

DS9 DOES suck. And I guess we all know that now that the cat is out of the bag, the recent DS9 documentary What We Left Behind pretty much confirmed the show as utter leftist propaganda

In the documentary they
1. Dedicated time to feminism
2. Dedicated time to police brutality
3. Dedicated time to black fathers
4. Dedicated time to patting themselves on the back for being one of the first shows to have scenes with only black characters
5. Dedicated time to muh racist drumpf and racist white guys
6. Dedicated time to LGBT representation
7. Had an entire segment where Ira pauses the entire movie to have a moment where they talk about how the show didn't have enough sexual identity propaganda
8. The big nosed guy (obvious jew) wore a shirt celebrating communist terrorist Che Guevarra and likened Kira to him
9. Had a moment to talk about how poverty is all the Republicans fault for not caring and not being socialists
10. Dedicated a segment to reveal that Garack is gay and that (((Behrs))) biggest regret was not making him and Bashir a couple
11. Almost all the "fans" interviewed were disproportionately female or nonwhite despite the fact the majority of STs audience are white males

It’s obvious that only one type of narrative allowed in media. The type that is antiwhite, antichristian, antinationalist and antimale. The Jews will not stop until everything white men adored is turned into leftist brainwashing rubbish.
