It's said to be the best anime for a reason. It takes a while to get into it but once it starts rolling you get the ride of your life as it's a fully fleshed out universe with political decisions that make sense and battles that are based upon real historic battles so it doesn't feel cheap or random.

It's a very good anime and honestly I don't even consider it an anime due to the complexity of the plot. It's more like an animated novel series.

Extremely well written series dealing with real world problems that people face. Never seen any series in any medium with such good character development. Has pure kino direction, story boarding, layouts and editing. The manga-ka personally requested that Shinbo direct and and he essentially came out of retirement to do so (he wasn't fully retired but he hadn't worked on a project since 2010 and the studio just slap his name on every thing since because he "oversees" them).
It's especially good if you enjoy lots of symbolism. Shinbo's best talent is his ability to convey information visually, where you actually have to think about about the layout of every shot to experience the emotion and intent of the scene. He's always said he loved to tell words with pictures and I think 3-gatsu did the best job of that out of anything he's worked on.

To be fair, Haibane is a couple of episodes longer than it needs to be. The actual story and world is less important than the message it is trying to convey, which only really becomes explicit towards the end. Anime has very high quality voice acting.

The movie actually focuses on the philosophy and ramifications of the system. But sadly it builds upon the events of Psycho-pass 1 and psycho-pass 2 so you need to watch it all.

Basically the protagonist is flip flopping between liking sybil and the system and hating the system while you see arguments from all sides. The Movie shows how sybil impacts the world. It's pretty good and the conclusion made at the end is very satisfying.

One Piece is for zoomers. Naruto is also still ongoing but it's called something else whatever his son's name is.

You're probably right but I have conditioned myself over the years to want to hear music during specific scenes. I can't feel any "hype" or "action" in a manga and I've read quite a lot of them such as Gantz, Berserk, One Piece etc. It just doesn't feel "right"

The problem is that the anime isn't actually intended to be at that pacing. It's just that they had 5 minutes of actual content spread over 24 minutes to make an episode so when you speed it up it actually starts to fit the pacing better and feels MORE natural and enjoyable.

I'm not saying to speed up actual kino like LotGH or anything. Just long running anime that you enjoy but has pacing issues, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach. basically all the early 2000s Shounen bubble anime.

That's a dumb myth in the anime/manga community. Manga pacing doesn't always translate well to good tv. There are rare exceptions, but something are better fleshed out for effect. Not saying they always get it right, but I guess your the one deciding that for the director all of a sudden.

Director wants a new episode every fucking week that lasts 24 minutes while having 0 "filler" episodes. So what ends up happening is the director trying to stretch what little content they have as thing as possible to fill those 24 minutes. This makes Naruto, Bleach and One Piece have extremely bad pacing.

Yeah that's true and the only thing I dislike. However after a couple dozen episodes you get used to it and actually start to feel "weird" when watching it at normal speeds. If there are good emotional moments or serious battles then of course you'll watch it in 1x again.

K-On is more popular and well-known in Japan than Bebop is.

HxH 99 is a good example of a good 'fleshed out' anime. The filler is good and some of the longer scenes are more tense than their 2011 counterpart.
