Why is season 1 the most painfully slow show ever made?

i tried watching season 1 but only got as far as episode 3. doesn’t it get better/ more interesting?

The story got hard to follow and boring. Too many forced musical numbers.

They go with an artsy, retro indy movie aesthetic but they go too far.. People behind it were just trying too hard to be quirky and not tell a cohesive, entertaining, or engaging story.

Last season had stakes, the Shadow King was a legit threat. It's painfully obvious that they are never going to defeat David in a proper confrontation, he's beyond that shit now in terms of power scaling. It’s more of the same. Pacing is slower since it goes even heavier on the surreal episodes that don’t really advance the plot at all.

Its different. Way more surreal, experimental, and slower moving, though that last one may be because there's two episodes that are just Hawley jerking himself off and being artsy. I felt like it all came together in really effectively in the end, but I was really skeptical about it while it was airing. Apparently the pacing doesn't feel as off if you binge it. Also the actor who plays Farrouck is great.

the second letter in AI implies Intelligence. for something to be intelligent it needs to meet some requirements. they have not created an AI just an Algo. it still requires a level of third party involvement to start/run/stop
if the AI completely agreed with their logic and their logic is not sound, then all they have is a glorified voice activated computer that outputs the shit you would otherwise see on the screen in a voice.
