Great show, heavy fucking ending, 5/5
>this scene is now considered controversial
If Disney ever do a remake, you can be sure it'll be full of brown people and women on the front lines.

Is there a chart for British comedy for the Americans? Help them find the kino like Peep Show and Blackadder while avoiding the Reddit shit?
That’s it. The war is over!
What this is from?
Very last scene of Blackadder.
where are the black people?
Nice tripdubs
Not that I'm aware of but here's some recommendations:
>Black Books
>The Smell of Reeves & Mortimer
>The Young Ones
>Monkey Dust
>Red Dwarf
>The League of Gentlemen
>That Mitchell and Webb Look
>Shooting Stars
You forgot Dr. Who
>British comedy
No such thing
Blackadder > Monty Python
You have to be 18+ to post here.
A man on extreme taste right here.
The Young Ones is too dated. Bottom is the superior show.
That's not a comedy
It is dated, but it's still funny, and I think modern audiences will see eerie parallels between (p)rik and modern leftists
Depicting white people sympathetically and giving them complex emotions is far right propaganda
>Dr. Who
>Comedy
Has anyone listened to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History on WW1? I knew it was grim from the 10 or 12 times we covered it in school but hearing it without the school filter makes it seem so much worse. People are having to shit and piss in the trenches because it's too dangerous to get out of it to do it, people are falling into shell craters full of water which is full of mustard gas and corpses and drowning/burning to death in it, horrible shit.
On the German side
no minority representation
Yeah that series was pretty great, Dan gets a little carried away sometimes but it's good shit.
All the women who fought in the trenches were whitewashed out of history
The Great War, from 1914 to 1917.
I enjoyed Johnny English, Dr. Who special with Rowan Atkinson, Mr. Bean, even Not the Nine O'Clock News had a few funny skits.
But I just never found this show funny.
'Baldrick, that if a hungry cannibal cracked your head open, there wouldn't be enough to cover a small water biscuit.'
Every line is like this. It's just so unfunny and lame
while these white men were busy with their imperialist dick measuring, women were slaving away in factories and farms.
not to mention the lack of kangz.
new historical revisionism has revealed that there might have actually been mostly kangz in the trenches, with two thirds of those being women.
It's not funny anymore. I want there to have been no ww1 or ww2, that no European man died, It was too much death too quickly, and it weakened Europe and left room for the parasites to fill the spaces and take control. Just think of what Europe would be like now if half the male population hadn't been killed off.
All that knowledge, all those good genes, the life lessons to pass down to their sons and grandsons, the morals, the bravery, the steadfastness.
the comedy wasn't designed for you. the stuff you listed that you liked is the generally low brow mass market stuff that anyone with taste finds unfunny and childish.
don't worry.
And the jews behind it all are laughing
if we ever make it out of this clown world, the wars will be marked as the greatest tragedy in our history.
funny how they are barely thought of, and that the loss of 120 million is never mentioned, but only this mythic 6 million figure is worth anything and is repeated in 100,000 films.
when they never actually died.
freaky
Good luck everyone
shut up
>that fade out to poppies
That was so unexpectedly heavy it really fucked with me
user, euros only make up 11% of the global population and the people behind the diversity push are working hard at dropping that number. There isn't an escape from this tailspin.
Read "Storm of Steel".
German aristocrat's memoir. Spoiler: he really, really enjoyed it.
And he wasn't alone. That is the real 'truth' of this stuff, but people don't like to think about it for a range of reasons.
I just hope for a catastrophe so great that it will lead us out of it all.
a massive asteroid strike, a new ice age, a targetted bioweapon to rid Europe of the infestation.
nature would be the best cure. a sudden ice age would do it. they'd be dead within a year or two, they simply can't survive without our technology and society.
>they are barely thought of
what fucking world do you live in mate
That's not to say it wasn't without awful times. He broke down crying midfight.
the world where they are trying to take down war memorials because they are cross shaped and racist, where I've not heard mention of the level of tragedy that the wars caused due to the loss of inherent culture from the men who died, but yet a bunch of stinking lying permanent victims claim all right to remembrance.
I wonder what world you live in.
they were even complaining about poppies last year, saying they were racist, out of date etc.
fuck off
>he really really enjoyed it
I wouldn't go that far
>You have to have a really high IQ to enjoy Blackadder
Yes but Germans are universally Sadistic. Their concentration camp guards also enjoyed their experience.
there will be songs
the worst part of ww1 (in my inexperienced opinion) would have been the constant artillery shelling. I read once that the germans unleashed an artillery barrage that lasted over a week, constant shelling for an entire week+, can you imagine that? the ground shaking all day, you try to sleep, you can't, you make it 2-3 days without sleep then finally pass out from exhaustion, wake up a few hours later and its still fucking going, hasn't stopped for even 1 second, you go to sleep again and wake up and its STILL going.
>this is considered the peak of British "humor"
worst part would be a bunch of whores giving you feathers trying to call you a coward to your face
literally none of what you just said happened
remembrance day was made into a generic war memorial day because there's rather a lot of wars and deaths, not because people wanted to in any way diminish or invalidate the lives and deaths of those from the great war
no-one wants to take down memorials with crosses or get rid of poppies
do you live in some magical country populated entirely by the spastics on twitter?
So judges a "man" who watches cartoons.
>Waaa we have to work for once ahbloobloo
Fucking women
Perfidious Albion spreading lies again I see.
all those mining actions where whole stretches of land just rose up and fucked off out of the ground were pretty spooky too
This

>Twohoe

GTFO newfag.
There is a fantastic book (pic related) wherein it intersperses a psychiatrist trying to rouse people from sleeping sickness and World War I; particularly a scene wherein the character in the war watches a Frenchman stand up in the middle of the shelling, on the field, look completely at ease and then have a complete and total breakdown back in the trenches.
Imagine walking 3 meters away from your trench and then being killed.
This, our media is oversaturated with anti-war sob stories even though plenty of soldiers fondly remember their time in war. Plenty of US Civil War veterans have the same sentiments.
Was Haig retarded or what
you've been consuming too much jew-fantasy
>tfw you will never be BAAAAH'd by your General
I see, you have no awareness whatsoever of anything happening outside strictly come dancing and other reality shit.

If you like war so much you can volunteer to get blown up together with the rest of the warhawks, but dont drag innocent people into it
The greatest victims of war are women. Some cunt said that once.
quote,
THE SHELL FIRE WAS LIKE THE EXPLOSIONS OF GIANT SHELLS, AND THEY MADE THE LOUD BANG
AGEEUN
and AGEEUN
end quote.
yes, women lose their husbands and sons in war. This is much worse than anything men have to suffer.

30 seconds of looking brings up plenty of other articles.
This follows all of the other 'progressive' movements that you likely follow.
Sounds like something a war mongering hag would say.
He was counting on cavalry charges in 1918 and called machine guns overrated. He was retarded.
>Read "Storm of Steel".
>German aristocrat's memoir. Spoiler: he really, really enjoyed it.
>And he wasn't alone. That is the real 'truth' of this stuff, but people don't like to think about it for a range of reasons.
I've literally read the same comment, word for word, at least 3 times now. DOD fuck off
This guy is mostly just pissed at politicians being hypocrites, did you read more than the title?
>independent.co.uk
right, I see
I'll stop shitting up the thread by talking to you then
On a more related note, are there any good movies about the african theatres outside of lawrence?
ww1 is the most interesting war by far.
war has been a proving ground for men for time eternal, an opportunity for valour, duty and heroism. all of that died on the fields of flanders where it became industrialised slaughter and became like an apocalyptic self perpetuating machine that nobody knew how to stop.
A veteren having some fond memories of the comradery among his fellow soldiers that the war REQUIRED the soldiers to form just to make it through a single day of the relentless tedious misery mixed with occasional intense terror and anguish does not make a war "fun."
Veterens cling to any fond memories they had of their experiences because its literally all they have to hold on to avoid falling into complete despair.
The first sign that mankind was starting to advance at a frightening rate
>be young 16 year old boy in 1916
>belong to a class that doesnt even have the right to vote
>go out in public
>suffragette hag approaches you and hands you a white feather
what do?
Russo Japanese Wars got there first.
It always strikes me really badly that these men sacrificed themselves for nothing, sure a second world war was cultivated for this, but that's even worse. The men in WW2 died for even less reason, they died for the world we have today.
>he wasn't alone
Was there any charge for them?
it was part of a wider campaign against the RACIST poppy over the last few years.
a quick search would show you that, if you didn't require being spoonfed like a mentally handicapped infant
>2:06
FUCK!
bayonettes for suffragettes.
If any question why we died/ Tell them, because our fathers lied
Good show, could never be made today.
And that’s a bad thing.
the term "fathers" is sexist and suggests that no women died.
remove it or I'll ruin your life
1. Stop it with the persecution complex
2. It does not at all suggest no women died, "we" is not gendered
he is obviously joking
Underrated wwi ptsd movies?
>Razor's Edge 1946
>Razor's Edge 1984
>Regeneration 1997
>Gods and Monsters 1998
any others?
Oh. Sorry I'm feeling extra autistic tonight.
The thing that gets me about WW1 is how the Wright Brothers had their first sustained powered heavier-than-air flight in 1903, got their plane refined by 1905 and then 10 years later we were already using them to fight wars.
We're pretty inventive when it comes to killing each other
yeah, apart from it was a German who had the first powered flight several years before, and the smithsonian just made a deal with the wright fraudsters to perpetuate a lie, bound in a 99 year contract of non disclosure.
which german?
His name... Kaiser Wilhelm
and then everybody clapped
Gentle Reminder that both World Wars were started in Europe. Perhaps Europe is the problem.
Read Poilu, I got the recommendation on here and it's a fantastic real life account.
Its what we get, I guess.

Gustave Weiskopf/Whitehead.
>gentile reminder
fixed that for you
kek
No humans died in that war though.
Only Fools and Horses is a classic, but it’s appeal to Americans might be limited. It depicts a fairly genuine working class English experience.
you also remember the camaraderie because it's often really missing in civilian life.
Plus anyone who has been in a firefight will tell you there really are moments that are incredibly exhilarating.
It was the most profound experience of most of their lives, they remember it the same way anyone else would remember their most meaningful experience. sometimes despair but often not.
>no-one wants to take down memorials with crosses
adl.org
>The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) joined a broad coalition of religious and civil rights organizations in urging the U.S. Supreme Court to find that a 40-foot memorial cross dominating a veterans’ memorial on Maryland government property violates constitutionally mandated separation of church and state.
>In an amicus brief co-filed with Americans United for Separation of Church and State (AU) in American Legion v. American Humanist Association, the organizations argue that the display of a towering cross within a World War I memorial located at a high-traffic intersection on Maryland state government property constitutes unconstitutional religious preference for one faith over all others.
>"A state-sponsored, 40-foot memorial cross, whether intentionally or not, sends a message of religious exclusion and secondary status to Jews and other minority faiths,"
ADL joos doing their thing
I’m afraid....not.
The guns have stopped because we’re about to attack. Not even our generals are mad enough to shell their own men.
They think it’s far more sporting to let the Germans do it
Honestly his autism in full overdrive has a kind of charm to it.

Read "Blood Red Snow"
German machine-gunner's memoir. Spoiler: He really, really, really didn't enjoy it.
And he wasn't alone. That is the real truth of this stuff, but people don't like to think about it for a range of reasons. So zoomers with no experience of genuine hardships lionize it online and act like a complete and utter fucking faggot because they wanna be cool and edgy.
cope
Cool how fa/tv/irgins in this thread are participating in an elaborate ritual where one group pretends to be SJWs while the other group pwns them using facts and logic
they weren't really working though
dodgy deals, scams, bookies.
it was the criminal underclass of London, before London became a foreign country.
hi fa/tv/irgin, you're on this board so you must be one.
why haven't you killed yourself yet
I have to stay alive to be this board's cultural anthropologist. What's your excuse?
I'm a bot, and you are a fa/tv/irgin.
I know you're not a bot because you were able to solve the captcha
Yea Forums pass.
Actually, I was just testing you. I'm a bot as well.
Fuck you pussy, war is the natural state of man

Appeal to nature is a logical fallacy
Cool how bots in this thread are participating in an elaborate ritual where one group pretends to be bots while the other group pwns them using 0101001010010101001010011
I was waiting for you to spring your trap. I bet you didn't expect me to agree that is cool and to say that doesn't invalidate my original point.
the algorithm evolves
I'd wear a fucking chicken suit just to fuck with them.
I'm getting so tired of this off-topic bait. You nearly ruined the thread with your bullshit
Where does Yea Forums stand on the war poets? For me, it's Siegfried Sassoon.
>Yes but Germans are universally Sadistic. Their concentration camp guards also enjoyed their experience.
Being a lifeguard is relaxing and fun my dude. Imagine the khazar milkers.
>one or two leaders can make millions of people kill each other.
read war and peace. this is bunk.
