Lmao

kek
Cope
>in b4 muh inflation: When factoring in currency exchange rates and the weak 2009-2010 dollar
You have that backwards, brainlet. A stronger dollar now makes Avatar look even better because the dollar denominated returns were calculated on weaker exchange rates
>currency exchanged to a stronger dollar yields more dollars
>resort to re-release argument
We, capechads, won. You, avaniggers, lose.
>we
>Why yes, I'd like 4 tickets for Avatar 2 Robert. How did you know? Me and the boys have been counting down to this day for a long time.
Take it easy on him. You're dealing with an avatard.
>sure thing user, have this popcorn on the house. You have some good taste.
>so, how is the girlfriend ?
The original run is passed. Endgame won. It was inevitable.
>Avengers memes its way to the top spot by adding DLC scenes
>Enjoys 1 year championship run before James drops the mic with 12 years of technological advancement since Avatar 2 and it breaks the 3 billion barrier and, AGAIN, changes movies as a medium
>Robert, my good man. Thanks again for such cordial service. Girlfriend is great, actually fiance now in fact. We're going up to the Hamptons next weekend to visit her extended royal family. Are those really capeshitters camped out in the lobby again? Heh, let them have their fun.

It's monday and still no promotion about the re-release
Do they send the news to normies via brainwashing radio waves?
I mean avatar 1 but you get the idea
I cant wait to see what modern CGI can do with James's vision
Holy shit!!!!
Is
This
Adjusted for inflation?
At this point it's just Bob Iger and friends buying tickets to defeat Avatar.
Both are trash and only faggots care
It was all over r*ddit I think, so no surprise there.
Reminder that Avatar 2 is basically China's The Phantom Menace/The Force Awakens and because of this Avatar will release again and make millions more leaving Endgame in the dust forever. So keep this in mind capeshitters even after your dishonest and desperate rerelease still doesn't beat Avatar.
*tink tink tink tink*
AHEM
No 3d wave to ride this time. Avatar 2 will go the way of the Alice In Wonderland sequel.
Nigger, Disney owns BOTH Endgame AND Avatar. The Mouse always wins.
>Predicting things that haven’t happened yet
>he still thinks the mouse owns Avatar
robust
You're underestimating James
He doesnt make things just to make them. The technology he waited 10 years to develop is going to be fucking insane
Just call me Nostradamus
Nigger, Avatar is a Fox property and Disney now owns Fox. Therefore, Disney owns Avatar. Were you dropped on the head as a baby?
>he fell for Jim's ruse
>The technology he waited 10 years to develop is going to be fucking insane
Unless Avatar 2 uses holographic technology, I don't give a fuck.
So, predicting?
Unless Avatar 2 has some really groundbreaking gimmick like Avatar 1 had with 3D it's not gonna be very succesful. I mean, hey, maybe Cameron will finally manage to popularize movies with a higher frame rate, I'd actually really welcome that, but if all he does is continue Avatars story without innovating it's gonna be a massive flop.
>he still doesn't realize that Jimbo owns the IP and Lightstorm Entertainment controlling all aspects of Avatar's development
Do those pants look really bad or is it just me?
It's really gonna pass it, isn't it?
gahhh I hate this. fuck capeshit
holograms are child's play think even more abstract Avatar World
>delayed A2 until he could perfect underwater 3d photography
>enhanced 3d viewing with 16' lamberts instead of the typical 3' lamberts
>trained literal children to hold their breath for 4 minutes to get the shots he demands
>based quaritch reprising his role
$4billies CONFIRMED screencap this
Pretty sure more people watched Avatar in 2D. What was impressive about the movie was the entire world was photorealistic CG
because kevin feige couldn't live with this failure
It doesn't count if it passes it and it's gonna set a bullshit precedent for movies now that adding "DLC" scenes mid-theatrical-run is an option
Just wait till you have to pay extra for the "real" ending to a movie
Yeah, I'm not seeing it. "Better 3D" and "3D under water" aren't gonna attract people. I think banking on the profitability of Avatar as a franchise is a pretty bad idea. One of the reasons Avatar worked was because it was a standalone thing that required no prior investment in its world or characters. It was just "Here's a Science-Fiction action movie with state of the art effects and 3D." and it concluded in a way that didn't exactly leave much open.
Does anyone really want to know what happened to Jake and Neytiri after the end of the movie? Is there a point to bringing Quaritch back from the dead? Where do you even go from here other than "The Humans are coming back with reinforcements'?
It's already beat it, shitbox.
You weren't bitching when AVATAR set the precedent of adding material for a rerelease.
don't miss the epic deleted scene of hobo thor eating a burrito
>implying the law of one price doesn't make currency exchange rates irrelevant
Back to r/law with you
Scene is Ryan Reynolds leaving Tony a message. "See You real soon...oh wait."
Re-release isnt the same as adding extra scenes during the original release.
Who says?
this. nobody complained when cameron went back in time and re-released avatar just to not let endgame beat it 10 years later.
Me FAGGOT
>cameron went back in time
>implying if there's one person on the planet capable of doing this it wouldnt be James fucking Cameron
>adding blu-ray bonus features to a re-release 2 months after the first one, without any promotion until like 3 days before it happens
they're scrambling, they didn't think they would have to do this
>Look at all my loser trophies.
Ya lost, kid. get over it
I know what it's like to lose, to feel so desperately that you're right, yet to fail nonetheless. It's frightening, turns the legs to jelly. But I ask you to what end? Dread it, run from it, destiny arrives all the same. And now it's here, or should I say, I am.
>david cameron rereleases avatar in theaters
>makes another billion
Cameron congratulated them weeks ago and Marvel still haven't done it kek
Reminder that Cameron still had to finish all the additional scenes from the extended cut and they spent millions making them just so more people could witness Avatar in 3D again, as a gift to mankind
Nobody cares because Avatar's re release was sincere and not desperate
I know, it was a joke.
Honestly why do you care about frame rate? Live sports is shot at 60fps, it's not like a breakthrough in technology
I feel action movies could benefit from it massively.
OH NO NO NONONONONONO QUICK RE-RELEASE WITH MORE QUIPS THIS TIME
>
>Nobody cares because Avatar's re release was sincere and not desperate
>SINCERE RE-RELEASE
What is this??
>Dark Peenis
>Women and Blacks: International
The absolute state
Any ideas how? I don't see frame rate making cgi any better, to me it's more of a stylistic choice if anything, and if it ends up getting overused it's "style" feels played out, like shakey cam
I completely agree with you. Some movies are good enough on their own that they shouldn't get sequels, like Avatar and Independence Day.
re-release when you're 1 billion ahead of the 2nd place (which is also your film) so people have another chance to see it in real 3d = sincere
re-release 2 months later while the movie is still playing with a post credits scene to the film that shouldn't have one and blu-ray bonus features just so it can beat a 10yo original movie even though by any average estimate it should have already broken 3 billion = dishonest
yes, but the reality would be that the wonky hollywood coreographies will look even worse
I just feel that more fluid movement would make action scenes look better. I imagine a movie like Mad Max Fury Road could look fantastic at a higher frame rate. I mean, the reason it didn't work for the Hobbit movies was because it calls attention to bad effects but something less reliant on CGI could benefit from it.
I wish I was that jacked. Not even mad.
I was, and then I got an injury that prevents me from ever looking like that again.
It hurts more than you can ever imagine.
>Popcorn, oh no. I'll be having the crab legs for this film please
Theyre both the same exact business ploy with the same exact motive, to make more money. It's not like having the title of biggest box office success is a prize that gives any additional award and there's not like there's honor in Hollywood block buster movies
The desperate one is the dishonest one.
I just don't think higher frame rate would accomplish that. Maybe it could, I'm not the most technically minded but Mad Max already looks fantastic. I think being less reliant on cgi is good but I think you do that by just combining real effects and cgi in more creative ways. If I had to bet though I'd say 60 fps would work in a movie like hardcore henry
>20+ movies of build-up
>top 3 biggest budgets ever
>massive increase in foreign box office and inflation
>built-in fanbase purposely spending money to pass Avatar, something Avatar didn't have
>months of bragging on this board
>STILL not gonna make it
OH NONONONONONO LOOK AT THE TOP OF THEIR HEADS
marvel's goal is to make more money to beat Avatar
in fact to do this re-release and distribute it around the world they might even lose money in the proccess
How's it dishonest?
Marvelshill detected
>he thinks this isn't about beating avatar
cringe and whitepilled
he just said how
Can you imagine actually BEING a capecuck? Must be horrible. AvaChads win again baby.
James Camerons goal was to make more money and to raise the bar for highest grossing movie. Are you implying its wrong to use that same tactic to try and pass that bar despite the risk?
Being desperate is not the same as being dishonest.
yes, he definitely thought 10 years later a shitty movie would get 40 million away from beating Avatar and knew he had to make up the difference with a re-release
It's not "wrong", only pathetic, laughable and dishonest
So why do you think James Cameron re-released it?
I mean he did the same exact thing so im not sure where the line in its laughabaility and patheticness is. Avatar was in the theaters from about december to august, endgame hasnt even been half that so this is just double standard bologna. Also imnot understanding how this is dishonest. They're advertising what the rerelease is and it's not like they're lying about anything, it seems much more likely that you all are using the word dishonest wrong.
because he wanted to give people another chance to see it in 3D, since theaters had to pull the 3D screenings for other movies
James Cameron is an auteur, he's not a businessman like Kevin Feige. Avatar was his dream project and he took a huge risk, everyone thought it would flop. He didn't make it for the money, unlike the MCU.
Based capechads dabbing on Abbadah HARD.
>resort to movie DLCs
>still lose
Holy shit capeshitters explain yourselves
We would like the crab rangoon
He didn't do the same thing at all even in technical terms
>Already had the #1 spot by a large margin, wasn't trying to get a stupid record
>Re-released after the first run ended, like any normal re-release, not while it was still fucking playing
>It was still in high demand
>Worked hard to complete the additional scenes, as a gift to the audience
Pretty convenient that 3d tickets were more expensive than regular ones.
A:E needs to bring in the 3-d glasses
>he doesn't understand that avatar made all that money in 10 years while endgame did it in a few months
kek
you don't say
kek
> (You)
>He didn't do the same thing at all even in technical terms
>>Already had the #1 spot by a large margin, wasn't trying to get a stupid record.
Okay and now Marvel is encroaching on that record. You're just trying to argue that Avatars way of making money is more virtuous than Endgame because you like underdog stories
>>Re-released after the first run ended, like any normal re-release, not while it was still fucking playing
So this is all fine if it gets rereleased in two months?
>>It was still in high demand
Marvel movies are still I'm high demand
>>Worked hard to complete the additional scenes, as a gift to the audience
Cringeworthy, but how do you know how hard either of the teams making these movies worked?
I'm convinced anyone who likes avatar hasn't seen it
Don't forget bro, IMAX 3d is the REAL way to see based jims masterpiece. Tickets only 20$ man. no refunds.
this hundo p
The Na'vi male is the epitome of male dominance and masculinity.
Let's start by looking at his body. His body is large. His domineering size makes his presence known without him even needing to point himself out. He is muscular, as a result of his high levels of testosterone. This gives him the appearance of health and strength. He is then covered by his blue skin. This blue skin reminds us of his ruggedness, a feature that developed due to being exposed to the scorching sun of Pandora, made to withstand such an extreme condition. It also has a psychological effect on the observer. The blue skin reminds us of our dark, deep desires that emerge from our primal subconscious past.
The Na'vi man's demeanor is one of alphaness. He is dominant, assertive, and can be explosively aggressive. His behaviour strikes fear into the more timid, cowardly races of man (sk* people).
The summit of expression of his masculinity on his body is his penis. The Na'vi penis is largest of all the humanoid species. As the penis is the penultimate symbol of manhood, this alone would suffice to make the Na'vi man the most masculine of men. This large penis is able fulfill the desire of the neediest of women, being able to more than fill all the recesses of the vagina. Its length ensures that when it ejaculates, the potent Na'vi seed will immediately enter the womb of the woman the Na'vi man impregnates.
In total, the Na'vi man expresses this masculinity in a most exemplary manner in bed. When he fucks, he unleashes the entirety of his lusts and desires upon his partner without any restraint.
All this is the reason why the Na'vi man is the epitome of masculinity.
Fox/Disney just have distribution rights
if they owned the property we would be on Avatar 4 by now
Mad Max actually has several shots where they lowered the frame rate and sped the video up instead

What's the point in looking like this if you're bald? Asking for a friend.
>not even a fucking tweet about the re-release yet
twitter.com
how much is this re-release going to make if no one knows about it? literally 0 marketing thus far
how do you even market this anyway?
lol come watch again this 3 hour movie for a little shit we added at the end you can watch the next day on youtube
plus the movie is already out of most theaters, you're asking them to put back a 3hour+ movie that's barely going to make them any money in very crowded summer
it's not making it, sorry Marvelcucks
Based.
they made a tweet
Guys I'm fucking confused, did Endgame win or not? Please give me an unbiased and objective answer
