If he took off that hat, would he die?
AOC please go
just an uncaring asshole.
not really a villain, but definitely not a good person who took advantage of people for his own gain.
that's coming from the book and pta not me
he'll be fine
>implying you ever read the book
shut the fuck up commie faggot
>implying you ever read any book

Eli was the villain, Daniel is an anti-hero
There isn't a person who is the villain here. Everyone is complicit. The son only sees through the bullshit because he literally spent the vast majority of his life disabled.
Eli was a hack fraud and an annoying piece of shit but what did he do besides that to be called a villain?
bitch i've probably read more of Marx than you have, suck my ass you NEET tranny
Go on then. Define socialism and communism
he didn't understand about milkshakes
agree but a lot of Daniel's actions act as catalyst(s) to bad shit that happens. Also he killed two people because he just felt like it
hang your bosses from the nearest tree, then work like an insect for your new bosses. Maybe you can have a few extra weeks vacation every year.

Pretty close but I would make sure to write democratically elected bosses as to not confuse anyone
was there a deeper meaning behind that? I saw it as literally talking about taking thr oil but was it about having authority over the community... something like that?
Reading the book would mean he is more likely to be a communist.
I saw it as him trying to play Daniel's game and not realizing how much a rookie he is. His character is defined by childishness, naivety, spite. he's a nice foil for Daniel, but they are both bad people in their own special way
Edward L. Doheny was a tranny?
he was the hero who saved a bastard from a basket and transformed the otherwise useless small california town
yeh Eli was stuck up and thought he was smarter than Daniel but I think he ultimately wanted to do right even if he was arrogant. But his arrogance was his downfall - he wouldnt have comeback asking Daniel if he didnt think he could get what he wanted. but I think in the end daniel also loses control and has to live out the rest of his life alone and also with his guilty conscience. So i guess it was really a tragedy for both characters
