Fuck you I liked Cabin In The Woods.
Jeepers Creepers
Original Texas Chainsaw Massacre
this "Lake Mungo is good" meme thats been spammed as of late is fucking awful, that movie was dogshit
Looks like you just ripped the soi horror lost and made it worse in every aspect
you know it's true
>that image
embarrassing
I wouldn't even class cabin in the woods a horror movie, rather a comedy.
Anyone see the remake?
How trash is it?
More thriller than horror but good
>my taste is friggin superior ur le npc npc
End your life incel
Is there a single good horror movie?
Worse than the Inside remake.
>no Hammer Horror films
kys
The Sixth Sense
Does Kairo count as horror? Are ghost/spoopy movies in the horror category or a genre unto itself?
>no hammer horrors
>no universal classic horrors
>no german expressionist "horrors"
lmao what the fuck
cringe
>92 dracula
>best horror movie ever
it's good but not that good
Try to find a more reddit post than this I dare you
I don't understand the hate here for Cabin in the Woods, specially because everyone who enjoyed it regards it as anything but a horror movie. It's fully on a parody movie. It's like getting mad a space opera fan liked Spaceballs or an historical fiction fan liked Robin Hood: Men in Thights.
>Kyoshi Kurosawa
That's pretentious horror
Friggin ebin tongue in cheek haha!
lol I've watched The Witch maybe three times now. It def deserves to be watched.
>Dracula
>pinnacle of anything
lmao
>no argument
Any non-retards would like to reply?
Why do redditors believe everyone is arguing with them? We are mocking you, is that so hard to understand? Are you this dense and retarded people need to tell you they are making fun off your stupid ass for you to realize it?
>You can't like what I dislike.
Finally a fair assessment of Lake Mungo
It's probably coming from this video
youtube.com
It's hated because of Joss Whedon but I liked how much detail is packed in an hour and a half run time. I mean the plot goes from Evil Dead to bootleg Umbrella corp to the Ancient Ones.
The bible
its just not funny as a parody and too obvious
dracula is as forgettable as the shit tier movies in the chart.
>redditors
Boy, I've been using this site before you were told you needed to dilate daily to keep that axe wound in your crotch from closing naturally.
Nobody is arguing Joss Whedon isn't a faggot, but you can like something a faggot makes without liking the creator.
All parodies are obvious though, it's the point.
...
>I didn't understandn it so it's bad reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
kys plebs
Im more of a "slow burn" horror fan myself. Jump scares are bad....
>made it worse in every aspect
*Better
I understand it perfectly. I never implied I didn't understand it.
Jumps scares need a build up in order to be good. Jumpscares alone aren't bad.
dont make your pngs transparent pls
The original Evil Dead.
If you did, you wouldn't hate it
why's your style pink-coloured? are you a faggot? lmao
I don't hate it, in fact I kinda enjoyed it. I just think it's forgettable.
Lol no, phoneposters and 4chanxfags finna bout to get dabbed on
the original Godzilla
arent parodies supposed to be funny or at least clever? that was just pure shit.
>Is there a single good horror movie?
not really. horror is only a tiny step up from porn in terms of respectability. directors usually do one or two of them at the beginning of their career to get noticed and then move on to better and worthwhile things. a recent example is ari aster who conceived hereditary as a serious drama about family grief but couldn't find funding - so he added naked satanists! horror is a fucking joke.
i was sitting on the balcony and the sunlight made it hard to see the text
That's why some of the greatest films ever made: Alien, The Thing, King Kong, Rosemary's Baby, Psycho, etc are all horror
Im glad hereditary gets acknowledge honestly the most unsettling movie iv seen to date
good for their genre, maybe, but certainly not good in the grand scheme of cinema. there are good scat porn videos as well.
Psycho is good even in the grand scheme of cinema as is The Shining.
What are you arguing? A parody doesn't have to be good to be a parody. user was talking about the genre of the film, I think. I personally think most Mel Brooks parodies are awful, but that doesn't mean I have any doubts whether they are parodies or not.
It's a massive hit or miss of a film that divides people constantly. It's not the smartest movie, but if it hits, it hits real hard.
such an infantile argument. i love dracula but yeah you can understand that movie and still hate it dipshit.
i was genuinely disturbed by the ending.
There are maybe like 4 or 5 good horror movies ever made, those being Rosemary's Baby, Alien, Lake Mungo and Hereditary
It cannot hold a candle to Tucker and Dale Vs Evil, that's for sure
Hereditary felt like it wanted to be a family drama about abuse/dysfunction and then BAM! suddenly a cult shows up. Really disappointing to me, it just didn't work.
agreed
this guy gets it
first 2/3 of the film is kino but then it gets dumb
herreditary is dogshit nu-horror. literally conjuring/insidious tier, only plebs for some reason think it’s “sophisticated”. and no, the inclusion of the cult is not the reason it sucks. if anything i’m glad they included that aspect because the last thing any movie watcher needs is another ebin mental illness metaphor
>Alien
>Exorcist
>Inplying they have more depth than any other films in the second tier
the exorcist is more sustancial than heREDDITary, yes.
>literally conjuring/insidious tier
french films
Martyrs (2008)
Inside (2007)
Don't Deliver Us From Evil (1971) pic related

Why are the frogs better than the burgers at making modern horror?
i like biel texas chainsaw massacre mainly because i could easily masturbate at least 3 times on a single watch
Maybe Better Stories ,Scripts ,Actors , Cam work ,Editting , Not having the mutt shocks as the scares , lets see Horror , not Frights
All shit
still better than american films from that the 2000s
