It won't work because the car's engine has to turn the turbine to work. The turbine will generate additional drag on the car that it has to overcome to even move. The wheels themselves are not turning the turbine, but the force the wheels need to generate to move the car is increased by the force needed to spin the turbine.

It could extend the life of the battery at some level whenever you are coasting but the energy you lose by the drag and extra mass the turbine and support will add will counter act most, if all the energy gained.

I've always disliked San Junipero for this exact reason. The episode forces a "happy ending" that doesn't fit with everything that was previously established. There's something really admirable about the black girl's husband wanting to die like a normal human instead of living in a delusion for eternity, and the episode establishes that people who live in San Junipero long enough devolve into hedonistic shells, yet for some reason the show treats the ending as a happy decision? The woman shits all over her commitment to her husband despite the rest of the episode basically proving his point. It always seemed to me as if Charlie Brooker originally wrote a bleaker ending, but decided to change it into something "happy," without considering how such an ending doesn't fit.

I just grossly rounded the light minutes as I mistakenly calculated for 10 ly, so I had to multiply by 2. I closed those tabs so I couldn't tell you, but you can just use the angular resolution equation for visible light (I chose 800 nm) and just flat out convert the result in radians to a slope over a run of 20 ly (because the divergence of tan is ultra low at such small angles). I think 1m equated to an angle of 0.6*10e-17.
