That wasn't bait. KoTM is lame. 1984 is just not well done and is a cheap product. Those two heisei movies are lame creature features and the only "quality" Destroyah has to offer is how emotional you may get over Godzilla's death, but that only happens if you're a fan to begin with.
If you want to put another movie alongside Gojira and Shin, put Hedorah in there if only for how weird it gets and because it actually tries to say something at all.
