I’ve heard him say that he gave notes to D&D outlining some bits of the ending for some characters, but he didn’t give any full story and he himself said he “lives in the moment” while writing rather than thinking of the bigger picture.
Even if some of the characters have the same ending in the books, it’ll be written very very differently, which he’s alluded to and also outright stated.

Well according to D&D, they went over every character back in 2013 over a couple of days. I actually had very similar criticisms of George’s world, especially the utterly ridiculous concept of a “common tongue” and the lack of different ethnicities and languages. George does a poor job at making Westeros convincingly a Medieval European setting, it actually does just seem like Medieval Britain. Not to mention his complete laziness with honorific’s and titles. There are a lot of things about his writing which make absolutely no sense in retrospect. And the entire way feudalism is set up is complete bullshit - there are armies which consist of thousands upon thousands of men and squires, yet one person dying completely wipes out that army or house? The way people achieve power or king/queen status is so lazily written that it is almost childish to read.
