I really like that aspect of his character. The desolate, ruined mansion, the lonely glass lake house, the superficial pleasures of women, wine, and classic cars. Beautifully realized

Snyder is the George Lucas of the DCU. He has some good ideas, but nobody says no to the absolutely retarded ones. He'd be much better as an idea guy, and maybe as the guy directing visuals because Batman v. Superman had some nice looking scenes but that's about it. Everything else sucked.
