Reminder that the show objectively got dumber season by season.

Is he going to show up in the prequel?

Theon took Winterfell with 20 good men and did way better than death incarnate

>that’s I’ve been working towards a Targaryen restoration

>Story ends with Bran becoming the King
Sounded like kino on paper but it was executed so poorly.

You prefer the version of the girl that is surrounded by black men? What are you trying to say, user?

This was the turning point IMO

The last few seasons (except season 8, which is just complete garbage) have a handful of episodes that are entertaining by themselves, but make no sense in retrospect.

It had been shit for awhile that was just the moment where it became complete nonsense impossible to take seriously

>mfw the white walker plot was so inconsequential in the grand scheme of things that people forgot about it the moment daenerys burned KL

They're cockless, obedient and know their place though

>pregnant Dany was dropped (probably)
>pregnant Cersei didn't matter
>Jaime leaving Cersei didn't matter
>Dany losing Dorne and the Reach as allies didn't matter
>DA AHMY O DA DED IZ CUMIN didn't matter

Poor, irrelevant, Season 7

So they ARE going to get married in the books, right? GRRM isn't as retarded as D&D right?

Yes, but he's gonna be an ice wight by the time they meet

Season 6 did the same exact shit but worse. It put the story in a hole and there was no payoff to anything.

Why weren't you there to protect her when she needed you most? She was all alone and scared waiting for you to show up to save her.....

I don't know why they cut Cersei's miscarriage. It seems like the perfect thing to make her go off the deep end.

what the fuck was the point of this character

Gotta keep her sympathetic and give her a sad death to make Tyrion sad instead of manipulated and make it personal that Dany the monster killed a pregnant woman

Is the Night King black?

They probably cut it because they wanted to make Dany out as the ultimate big bad at the end and that left no room for another.

They trashed pretty much everything in order to get to Hitler Dany but couldn't even do that right. Complete and utter failure.

Attached: 1555792099338.png (1920x1080, 1.42M)

Seriously, what is the plot of this movie?

Girl has trailer trash boyfriend, becomes FBI informant.

Trash boyfriends finds out beats her to an inhc of her life, she falls in love with FBI agent.

FBI Agent gets her pregnant, beats her to death so his wife doesn't find out.

Thats basically the premise.

Attached: 59D946Z.png (528x425, 244K)

Judging from how much trouble its had being picked up, let alone released, it seems to be a high production snuff film

Oh god her career really is done; i’m so sad

George only likes the Starks and his self-insert. Jon has to kill Daenerys to subvert expectations. It's a tragic ending for him, but something, something Lord of The Rings.

She's had awful luck with movies filmed during Thrones; this apparently wrapped production in late 2016 and has been in some form of release hell ever since, so it's just another one on the pile as far as that's concerned.

Ahm Sorry Dahny....a flat income tax....it wun work

But all Jon wanted to do was play with the Wildlings. The show told us so 71 episodes in!

Charles Dance as Tywin was well acted, but Tywin as a character (at least in the show) still isn’t very interesting. He just comes off as some stern, tough, condescending patriarch who likes to counsel and discipline his kids.

Good choice, actually. I feel like he’s a bit underrated.

Pretty cute and based edition tbphwyf

How well do you think the spinoffs will fare? Given how even the most npc fans seemed to hate the final esason, I doubt there's many who are actually hyped over them. Therefore I'm deducing they have to be something truly spectacular to gain even a glimpse of GoT's viewership, which I'm also deducing will not happen given it'll be essentially 100% fanfic and probably infested with sjw agenda.

Personally I'll probably give them a watch but wouldn't really care too much if they cancelled the projects well before airing.

Attached: 1489780440551.jpg (211x212, 7K)

People will tune in to watch it since as far as they're concerned it's a different writer, different time period, different characters and can be interesting for reasons other than the Walkers which the show largely ignored anyway. I won't watch it if only because fuck George, fuck his world, fuck his greed and fuck the Others for being pointless obstacles

I seriously doubt it'll get anywhere near the same audience GoT had.

What if Based Bobby B awarded Gregor Clegane for the killing of the dragonspawn by making him Kingsguard, possibly even Lord Commander?

>BURNING PEOPLE BAD
I mean yeah but in a show where people get beheaded, hanged, tortured as POWs, backstabbed during honorbound ceremonies, blown up in churches, etc. people in the setting sure have a overwhelming reaction to people being burned alive.
As far as dragons being an allegory to nuclear weapons, at least dragons have fucking emotions. D&D suck nigger dick but the more I ruminate the more I realize I disagree with GRRM's views given that it's where the story is going. Yeah, war sucks but I'd rather run drones than let people meet eye to eye and massacre each other.

Why don’t you do it instead of relying on others and whining like a pathetic little bitch

How about you get to work on this D, bro?

No, the show became unwatchable when Sansa was given to the Boltons by LF.

GOT died with Tywin and you all know it.

Sure. But Tywin didn’t actually add anything monumentally important to the show. Charles gave a decent performance and he was relatively entertaining to watch, but he mostly just functioned as some stern patriarch. His death is when things got less interesting though.

GoT season 1-4 is monumental television. The rest is just garbage.

It's a How I Met Your Mother tier ending, the story and its ending was envisioned as a trilogy supposed to come out in its entirety in the 90s, then George started expanding it beyond all reason, and taking forever to write it, and the original ending, while its plot points should still play out as they were set up, is not a fitting end to the new scope of the story.

Imagine if LotR was originally planned to be one book in which Frodo finds out about the power of the ring, thinks about it for a bit, and then returns it to Bilbo after which the story ends, then Tolkien expanded the story to what we know now to include the Fellowship and the trek to Mordor to destroy the ring, but then in the middle of RotK Frodo and Sam just turn around in Mordor and go back to return the ring to Bilbo because that was the original ending.

Wait, Bran ends up as king? NO FUCKING WAY, DUDE! HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH THAT'S THE DUMBEST FUCKING SHIT! HE'S A FUCKING AUTIST NO CHARACTER WIKIPEDIA BORE AHAAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAH TALK ABOUT ASS FUCKING THE FANS AHAHAHAHAH SURE AM GLAD I'M TOO JADED AND HURT TO CARE ABOUT ANYTHING MSM SPEWS OUT IT'S ASSHOLE

There is no ultimate point to the show. 1-4 were solidly good and entertaining, but it was just a bunch of buildup for absolutely fuckall. Every single event and side-plot and side-arc led to nothing. It’s a completely meaningless and worthless show aside from passive entertainment. Every single character was ruined and turned into a meme, and the s5 onwards plots and scenes amounted to irrelevance. There was never any hope for a decent adaption. D&D managed to make everything condensed, or completely written off, or unbearably tedious and boring. I actually can’t tell why ASOIAF was even adapted aside from making money.

>trek
PM me.

Season 8 has a lot of flaws, like how people teleport from one end of the kingdoms to the other or be in two places at the same time, but it was a satisfying conclusion to the story. Battle of Winterfell is the greatest battle in cinematic history. I think people are just angry the show ended after it being a part of their lives for so many years.

>show was made because D&D wanted to adapt the Red Wedding
>show was hugely popular because of shocking events like the Red Wedding
>Tywin orchestrated the Red Wedding
>"Tywin didn’t actually add anything monumentally important to the show"

Yeah. That isn’t monumentally important, and it was technically Roose who was the main orchestrator of the Red Wedding. Tywin wasn’t even there. His character added nothing except for somewhat entertaining dialogue and stern counselling to his kids who didn’t learn anything from him because the Lannisters are a meme piece of shit house in the show. Near every perceived important event was completely forgotten about and never mentioned again after s4.

Dumb speedwatcher

Bury a gun down your throat.

NOTHING IS MONUMENTALLY IMPORTANT BECAUSE THE SHOW HAS NO MESSAGE OR ETHOS OR MEANINGFUL CONCLUSION.

Pssh, messages and ethos and meaningful conclusions are for eight grade book reports

What did Tywin add to the show? What made his character and presence so great? He was necessary to the development of House Lannister and he provided some insight into Lannister values. He was family/heir obsessed and ultimately just wanted his family name to live on powerfully. He did some things regarding battles, but if we’re talking about the Red Wedding, it’s Roose who mainly orchestrated it and betrayed the Starks. The Lannisters backed them up, but they weren’t even present.
It’s widely agreed upon that if anyone other than Charles played the role, Tywin probably wouldn’t be much of an entertaining or fun character. I’d argue that Roose and Stannis have the most relevance.

tfw Dany going crazy was completely unbelievable and out of character and we all know it. Still, ses 8 >5,6,7.

It's not completely unbelievable but it was completely ruined since the decent was condensed to like 15 minutes of screentime and like 2 days in-universe

Correct. GoT is the most meaningless, worthless piece of garbage show to ever exist. A few moments of entertainment and “intrigue” doesn’t deflect that. The Lannisters got reduced to Cersei who just drinks wine and stares out of a window and has the same singular, mundane facial expression. Jaime just wants to fuck Cersei. Tyrion stopped being good after his trial. The Starks are the generic superheroes and good guys who were destined to win and destroy all of their enemies. Example: Arya psychotically slaughtering and genociding the Freys, including the innocents who did nothing to her. Bran being irrelevant and poorly written from the beginning and then becoming an emotionless, creepy piece of furniture. Sansa just becoming cold and useless. Jon being a Harry Potter tier caricature of himself.
What is the big climax of this saga?

the lolcow part is that the most traumatizing parts of Dany's arc take place long before season 8 and her downfall into loonyness.

How was it unbelievable in any way? You can quickly see her becoming more and more throne and power obsessed. Everything she does is eventually just out of wanting to get more followers and loyalists to support her claim to the Iron Throne. She admits she felt absolutely nothing but impatient when sending Daario away, a man who wholeheartedly loved her and wanted to fight for her by her side. She just friendzones everyone and coldly dismisses everyone no matter how loyal they were to her because she only cares about being the most powerful queen in the universe. She genuinely thinks she’s the best thing to ever have lived. She doesn’t do anything by herself, she has hundreds of thousands of people backing her up and just uses her dragons to scare people. She’s always been an absolutely awful character. She’s a fat feminists self-insert.

>Arya psychotically slaughtering and genociding the Freys
pet peeve time: Arya has murdered a lot of people close up. She's been traumatized and brutalized for years. She would be emotionally disturbed to say the least but just keeps on badassing and being able to love in the end. it's redic.

Dany wants to end cruelty - becomes cruelty
- becomes pottery

Tywin was the only interesting Lannister, he, along with Stannis, was one of the few people who could give stability to the Seven Kingdoms. Meanwhile, his kids Jaime, Cersei and Tyrion actually do add nothing to the story. Jaime and Cersei's purpose was cucking the King and causing the War of Five Kings, afterwards its endless wine sipping scenes of Cersei crying about muh children and Jaime crying about muh Cersei while Tyrion makes some quips.

Season 4 should've been when the Lannisters end, with Tywin. If Season 5 still goes the same, then the major change would be in Season 6. There instead of Cersei winning, I'd have her and Jaime killed, possibly even off-screen and then the Tyrells take over with Tommen. Then Tommen/Margaery are actually highly supported by the smallfolk of Westeros, which gives more logic as to why Dany can't simply storm in and take the Iron Throne.

Really, killing off this boring duo earlier does a lot to help save the show, even if its ending would probably still be fucking shit, unless Tommen/Marge win in the end.

Look at this cuck

Attached: got-winners-losers-s8e6.png (825x464, 217K)

>She's been traumatized and brutalized for years.
She has? Aside from some of her family dying, which is undoubtedly traumatic, how has she been brutalised? What other things have happened to HER personally? What gives her an excuse to become a genocidal, murdering psychopath? She just kills anyone and everyone who’s in her way, and she also somehow managed to survive being stabbed several times by the Waif. She had an extremely quick recovery and then just went back to being some smirking “””badass””” assassin. She’s a complete Mary Sue and has no depth to her character. She’s the equivalent of a literal horribly written piece of trash and it’s unfathomable how anyone doesn’t laugh hysterically every time her ugly face shows up on screen.

Cute

>how has she been brutalised?
beaten, blinded, stabbed, hunted?

I’d argue as well that Tywin and Tommen were the most interesting Lannisters, and I was interested in seeing Margaery becoming a member of the family in some way. I only wish Cersei and Jaime were killed off, and I honestly don’t care about meme Tyrion. He was always le funny witty dwarf guy. He hardly adds anything of importance and after s4 he became dreadfully boring and his side-plot with Varys (also another unforgivably butchered character) was tedious as fuck.

Arya stabs the eyes of a kingsguard and slits throats left, right an center. Story ends with her being caring, peace loving explorer with normal emotional responses (interaction with Jon) and no scarring or disorders whatsoever.

If someone gives the following images, ill make a meme

1. A picture of Nikolaj looking at the golden hand funny
2. A picture of Brienne smiling
3. A picture of Daario (nu-Daario)

She literally allowed all of that to happen. She was desperate to become a Faceless Man for whatever reason (the Faceless Men plot in the show was complete meaningless dogshit) and she stayed despite being lightly “beaten” and blinded. She was obsessed with Jaqen and wanted to prove herself, and she didn’t even seem to mind being blinded. She was already a murderous psychopath before she was stabbed by the Waif, and her getting stabbed amounted to nothing anyways because she magically survived it and resumed genociding families and houses.
Are you mentally retarded or just underage?

It’s already been established that GoT is a show that is utterly devoid of any logic, sense, or meaning.

You could have Jaime just die at Riverrun, while Margaery and the Sparrow outplay Cersei by getting Qyburn on their side, who gets the zombie Mountain to smash her shit in when she tries to Wildfire them. Just have Cersei looking smug then she turns to Clegane and says 'its time'. He shakes his head and approaches while Cersei looks scared, and we cut to black.

Next scene, Tommen attends the funeral of his mother. The whole events of the season along with the death of his mother and "uncle" lead to him accepting his duties as King more.

let me gusse. daisy ridly!

What's your point tho? Mine is that Arya should be a deeply disturbed, emotionally abnormal person by the end of season 8 but she isn't.

It's just entertainment dude, don't take it too seriously. No need to be indifferent either. Just realize it's a story that was never planned and it grew all over the place was way too vast to finish totally to any single point.

That’d actually be a good addition to the show and that’s the way things should’ve happened imo. Too bad it’s GoT and anything remotely interesting, realistic, or sensible has no chance of ever happening.

Jude Law as Stannis Baratheon?

She grew up when she met those soldiers in the woods and shared their food and drink. Great scene!

Turns out, Lannister soldiers aren't all bad. A message to all of us, maybe?

Seasons 7-8 could be Tommen ruling from Casterly Rock. His kingdom would include Westerlands + Reach, and it'd explain why they can't just storm in like they can in King's Landing. Casterly Rock is a major fucking fortress, have Qyburn build up some scorpions on top of it and it'd be highly secure.

Meanwhile Dany rules the Crownlands, Stormlands and Dorne. After the death of Jaime (possibly betrayed by Bronn, because he's a sellsword and Edmure just paid him more?), Tullys have taken over the Riverlands and declared for Jon, who's taken Winterfell as in the show.

So what can we expect from gurm and the /got/ threads in the long run?

shit?

We should all be humans sometimes and be with other humans. It's the humanity.

GrrM will die before completing anything and /got/ threads will be replaced by more capeshit.

Nothing. The only purpose of /got/ is to be another cancerous, shitty, and worthless containment thread.
Gurm is slow and pathetic as always.

The show isn’t canon. The show being over is canon. The actual ending to ASOIAF (which is what GoT is based on) is not over. People have been predicting Martin’s death for years and he’s still here and kicking. Winds is already almost done and he’s going to release it early or mid next year. It’s Winds that people are really waiting for, and I’m pretty sure Dream is just going to be the aftermath of all of the conclusions and battles of Winds. Dream is just going to be Martin’s planned Stark happy or “bittersweet” ending. There’s likely going to be zero Lannisters left except Tyrion and perhaps Jaime. Dany’s going to go mad which was always planned and foreshadowed but it’ll be written differently and arguably in a better fashion. She will most likely die as well. The saga won’t be fully over and complete until Martin releases his last two books.

Long Night is cringe to the max, I never cared about that aspect of ASOIAF.

What said.
Also, one last question, who were your fav characters aside from Jaqen?

Superb bait, friend. Well done.

I didn’t say anything about leaving, user.

The wildling chick and the carstark kid who gets burned in the spiral.

Take care.

What is it about my post that seemed like bait? Is it because I don’t believe Martin is going to randomly die of a heart attack and never finish? He’s already released several excerpts from Winds and he’s probably going to finish it soon. He hasn’t given a specific release date but he’s said around mid 2020. I don’t know if Dream will ever be finished, that bit is unclear. But Dream will literally just be about the Starks and their bittersweet lives or ending. It was originally titled “A Time for Wolves.”

Whatever, I'm not biting. Have a (You) on the house.

Gilly and Olly? Interesting choices. Why? Gilly doesn’t serve much of a purpose aside from being the romantic partner of Sam, which is a complete self-insert from Martin. Olly is...Olly.

What said.
I’m glad you asked. Stannis, Tywin, Jaime, Beric, Davos, Barristan, Kindly man, Jorah, Victarion, Euron, Moqorro and Roose Bolton are my favorite characters and characters I’m looking forward to see in the next (unlikely) upcoming books.

Alright. You too, kid.

I'm 34.

Huh. Thanks for the answer. Seems like some other guy was pretending to be you.
Those are mostly good choices that I agree with, especially book Roose, Stannis, and Davos. What’s your opinion on Theon? I actually find he has one of the best written and fascinating character development and overall journey. I liked his portrayal in the show as well to some degree; kudos to Alfie for being a good actor. I’m interested in seeing book Theon’s PTSD and attempt to resume a somewhat ‘normal’ life and get back his personality after his escape.

>Tywin, Beric
>I’m looking forward to see in the next (unlikely) upcoming books
user, I...
Roose is probably already dead too. Ramsey signed the pink letter as the lord of Winterfell.

Roose isn’t dead. Ramsay was just legitimised by his father. Roose is still very much an ongoing presence and threat in the books. Are you stupid?

>Seems like some other guy was pretending to be you.
heheheeeee

Attached: 1560883884524.jpg (234x180, 52K)

Oops, my mistake. Both Tywin & Beric died in ASOS.
>Roose is probably already dead too.
We don’t know that for sure. He is after all the man with plan. I hope Stannis will be the one to excute both Boltons.

If I'm not mistaken, Ramsey can't be the lord of Winterfell while his father is the lord of Winterfell. Kind of like how Shireen can't be queen while Stannis is still king. The string of murders in Winterfell gives Ramsey a good cover if he wants to off Roose and Walda. Big Walder already used it the same way to get rid of Little Walder.

I don’t understand why you’d want Stannis to kill Roose considering you just claimed he’s your fav character. I don’t want Roose to die, although Martin will probably kill off Ramsay considering book Ramsay is the generic super-villain guy who was just there to pave the way for Theon’s development as a character.

It’s possible Ramsay is just calling himself the Lord of Winterfell, but idk either. It wouldn’t be too outlandish considering Ramsay despises his bastardy and viciously murders anyone who even mentions it in passing.

Ramsay is a big meanie in the books as well as the show. He'll do anything to become the lord of lords.

He’s far worse in the books. Show Ramsay is certainly evil and sadistic, but he’s also relatively charismatic, funny, and smart. Book Ramsay is completely careless and really bad when it comes to political stuff. He’s also much scarier.

>Show Ramsay is funny
how so?

He's a manlet.

Would GoT have worked better as an anime?
youtube.com/watch?v=mUh5v_Cyx4g

You're welcome. Yeah ignore that guy.
While Theon isn't mine favorite character, I enjoyed read his chapters from commiting atrocities and treason in the North to being a beaten depressed prisoner of the Boltons. I completely agree with best written and fascinating character deveploment Theon received, as I remember, he was absent in ASOS & AFFC. I liked Alfie's potrayal of Theon but I really didn't care for show Theon. I'm not sure if I want to see Theon alive. Best thing if Stannis executes both Greyjoy siblings, but if Theon survives then I'm kinda interesting how he will cope with his PTDS and handicaps.
>I don’t understand why you’d want Stannis to kill Roose considering you just claimed he’s your fav character.
While both of them are my favorite characters, realistically I can't imagine Roose surviving the battle of ice nor the capure of Winterfell or ASoIaF in general. I mean what will Stannis or the Northmen do about Roose? Sparing his life? Very unlikely, unless he managed to escape, but then again what will Roose do from here on out? Ramsay on the other hand, die anytime in the story. I don't want Stannis to die either, so...

Dany's tantrum to conquer westeros had her people pillaged, sacked, killed and raped. She was way too fucking nice for a woman who slaved her and had the CHEEK to ask her to thank her for "saving" her of the shit dany brought to her and her people.

Honestly, how come anyone don't see Dany's actions as a selfish cunt from the beginning too blind to notice it. It's beyond me.

no

I hope that Griff is the real deal and Jon is revealed a filthy bastard. It's something Martin would to fuck with people.

The show cuts Val, the wilding princess, whom Jon looks up. You bet if he gets a romantic ending, it'll be with her. They also cut Sansa's fiance, Harry. It's like they purposefully wanted to fuck them up.

Pathetic

I started liking her in S7

I guess. How old is he supposed to be in the show? In the books he was a child when it happened.

>Most favorite
Robert Baratheon, Stannis Baratheon
>Most disliked
Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen

Never liked her
Neither in books, neither in show
Dany's segments were most boring moments, before Barristan arrived

She was really boring in S1-S6, mainly because she wasn't in Westeros.

>Serb
>she burns a Croatian city to the ground
>nicknamed Sormborn to top it off
It took some time, but she won my heart in the end.

She was boring in S7-8 as well.

She, along with Jon, Jaime, and the White Walkers, are what kept the show going. Everything else was tedious.

Nah, she wasn't. Especially in S8

Why did every character become retarded by the end

No, designated heroes are cringe and boring as fuck. The show died in Season 6 when all the interesting characters were written off by the Sept explosion.

>designated heroes are cringe and boring as fuck

I don't hate him at all, I just don't think he's an interesting character.
But I thought Seasons 1-6 GoT was pretty good of a story without needing any input from me, apart from Stannis' death. That killed off the last interesting part of the Northern plotline.

Reminder that D&D had 2 years to write S8 and came up with this.

Attached: BasedDrogon.jpg (1276x1500, 60K)

Stannis thought himself the designated hero of this story. Should Jon have burned a few people alive to keep things interesting? I don't like how Jon was handled either, but you dismissing the hero's journey as cringey and boring, is pretty lame.

>Stannis thought himself the designated hero of this story.
That's the thing. He didn't truly care about Melisandre's drivel, he used her power to build a cult around himself as means of attaining the Iron Throne. He was a guy that USED the hero's journey to take what is his by right. That's what makes him interesting.

>"Dany is too strong for Jon."

>If Melisandre knew Arya was Azor Ahai since S3, why did she burned Shireen?
D&D decided that Arya would kill the Night King in 2016, user. That line from season 3 was retconned to mean something else in the effort to subvert our expectations.

What's the reference here, Unabomber manifesto?

No, it's a joke about how Drogon apparently understands symbolism and politics since he burned the Iron Throne rather than Jon.

Borros Baratheon for being too stupid to learn how to read and letting his maester manipulate him into switching sides.

Single worst decision ever made in the series

Attached: c8be40f36ce24bbe17cbeae22c5db824--jack-gleeson-jack-oconnell.jpg (236x173, 14K)

There's a Night's King in the books (who has been dead for thousands of years), but there is no "Night King."

I think these are the most important things to take away from D&D's handling of George's ending in regards to Jon:
>Jon comes back to life
>Jon fights White Walkers
>Jon is the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna
>Jon meets and falls in love with Daenerys
>Jon kills Daenerys
>Jon goes back to the Wall
I won't claim anything more because it might be D&D fanfiction (e.g., Jon, instead of Stannis, taking back Winterfell or Sansa becoming Queen in the North.

BRAN HAV GOOD STORI

That's not Catelyn taking Tyrion prisoner

Also Bran becoming king will happen too.
I do think George is considering to change the ending though, making Jon don't kill Dany or atleast not because she had gone mad, maybe her being Nissa Nissa And King Bran

Books will have zero to do with the show, get over yourselves Jonerys reddit retards.

Cope you fucking retard, it was George notes given to D&D personally

Aside from Shireen getting burned, we don't know what any of those notes are. Try harder.

That was pretty bad but she had better reasoning and peace was still possible at that point, joffrey fired the shot

>Books will have zero to do with the show, get over yourselves Jonerys reddit retards.
George himself said that the entire point of the story was Jon and Dany meeting. The two characters are young Targaryens who dream about each other as shadow lovers. You think they are going to meet and have a completely platonic relationship? You are in denial.

Furthermore, why are you so butthurt. We all know that Jonerys ends poorly, so why are you lashing out at people for merely pointing out that it will happen?

DB Weiss, David Benioff, Alan Taylor, Emilia Clarke, Isaac Hempstead Wright, etc, are all engaged in a conspiracy to lie about what George's ending is, because you personally don't like it.

Thats cool, thanks
I think a animated Adaption of asoiaf would be great(if the books ever finish)

Now there's a rare sight, not only a redditor, but a persistent redditor.

The worst decisions are all made by Starks
>Ned telling Renly to fuck off when Renly offers to help him seize Cersie and her kids
>Catelyn capturing Tyrion
>Robb marrying Jeyne
>Ned trusting Littlefinger
>Catelyn trusting Littlefinger
>Sansa telling everyone about Jon's parentage

Attached: sansa keeping a secret.jpg (460x560, 30K)

(You)

S2-S5 Stannis, S6 Ramsey, S7-8 My beloved Queen Danny

Maybe Greyjoy Rebellion?

I will ask you this straight-up: was everybody involved with the show engaged in a conspiracy to lie about GRRM's intentions and do you have any basis for believing that this was the case?

Why are you so hostile? Because people acknowledge that elements of the ending are George's intentions all along? The people you are insulting aren't even judging the ending as good, but you lash out at them anyway.

It will probably be the same in the books it just won't be nearly as black and white

The maesters for not poisoning the dragons in time.

No, I just think GRRM's notes were very vague and didn't at all reveal what the ending would be. Jon's storyline already steals from Stannis' as early as Seasons 5 and 6. A lot of the stuff Jon does there was already done by Stannis in the books.

The greens but that doesn't stop Aegon II from being the rightful heir.

The Lannisters also deserve flack for trying to pass off their bastards as legitimate. If anything, Littlefinger and Lysa Arryn unknowingly saved their asses by killing Jon Arryn.
>Sansa telling everyone about Jon's parentage
I don't understand what Sansa hoped to accomplish by doing this. She openly talked about committing treason to the Hand of the Queen for no reason. Having a woman with dragons on her side was simply too much to bear, and thousands of Northerners would have to die for "muh independence."

Oh well, it's not like Sansa is a stranger to sacrificing Northern lives for no reason (e.g., The Battle of The Bastards). D&D have no idea how to write Intelligent characters.

>The Lannisters also deserve flack for trying to pass off their bastards as legitimate. If anything, Littlefinger and Lysa Arryn unknowingly saved their asses by killing Jon Arryn.
Also the Baratheon brothers deciding to fight each other. Cersei and Jaime are idiots who would have gotten their whole house wiped out if it wasn't for sheer dumb luck going their way.

>unknowingly
LF wanted to spark an all out war, so the plausible deniability regarding twincest needed to linger.

Cat was a cunt

That has nothing to do with my post here: Are you this guy: ? That's who I am responding to. I already acknowledged that Stannis's character was probably absorbed into Jon's in the show, but that has nothing to do with the broader points of R+L=J, Hodor, King Bran, Jonerys, etc, being basically confirmed by multiple people. I know Cersei won't be on the throne when King's Landing burns down because I know it makes no sense and I know that fAegon exists. I know that everything that happens in the show's ending are George's intentions. Bronn being Lord Paramount in The Reach also won't happen.

>I know that not everything that happens in the show are George's intentions
Typo.

I don't think LF was trying to hide the twincest when he killed Jon Arryn. It was more about manipulating the Tully sisters into starting a Stark/Tully-Lannister war.

It was rushed and poorly written.

Faegon will probably lose to cersei

Lol, cersei and what army?

And a shadow baby deus ex machina was used to kill Renly and divide his forces. Sounds like the Lannisters got insanely lucky despite their stupidity.

They also retconned Dany's vision from season 2 into being her death scene despite only finding out her journey and ending from George in 2013, which was after season 2

Both. Targaryens are foreign invaders with no right to rule the Seven Kingdoms. Dance of Dragons should've been used as an opportunity for the seven kingdoms to break away from Targshit rule.

All good lies need a grain of truth. Why would Cersei want to kill Jon? Because he was investigating her affair. If Ned doesn't find anything by following Jon's footsteps, the war likely doesn't break out. If Jon finds out too quickly, the war will be too one sided as the Lannisters get rek'd by nearly every other army. LF picked the right time and the right target.

This army

>Faegon will probably lose to cersei
And people will fight for this insane woman why? Even her brothers want nothing to do with her anymore. She commands no loyalty or respect.

Why would book Euron put money on the Cersei Lannister horse? Seems like a longshot to me.

Probably fear. We'll have to see how it plays out in the books

Martin does not do well when it comes to predicting when he'll be done writing a book. He thought he could finish winds by Halloween 2015 user, and finish ADWD very soon after AFFC, then by two separate cons over different years and so on and so forth

>If Ned doesn't find anything by following Jon's footsteps, the war likely doesn't break out.
Wouldn't the war have started regardless by that point? Like let's say Ned never discovers the incest
>Cat took Tyrion prisoner, sparking a Lannister-Tully war
>Robert still dies/gets assassinated, probably still names Ned as Lord Protector in his will
>Cersei still moves against Ned
>Renly still gets out of King's Landing and joins up with the Tyrells
>Everyone discovers the incest anyway when Stannis sends out his letters
The only change I guess would be that Ned would be caught completely off guard, rather than being dumb enough to warn Cersei "hurr durr I'm on to you, you better get out of the city!"

I don't know but it's what happened in the show

Andals are so foreign invaders with no right to rule any of the kingdoms, Rhoynar are foreign invaders with no right to rule Dorne, First Men are foreign invaders ... what's your point?

>Probably fear.
She's sitting in a prison cell with no army or supporters other than Qyburn. Jaime, who commands the Lannister armies, hasn't lifted a finger to help her. Why would anyone fear her?

Doesn't mean things will play out the same way in the books.

We all saw what happens in the show. I thought the current discussion was about what might happen in the books.

New

Andals and First Men assimilated into each other in the South. House Lannister was originally First Man, but married into Andals. Meanwhile Targ shitters made no effort to assimilate into Westerosi culture. They didn't stop sisterfucking, they didn't drop their dragons.

George said the ending would be similar for the main characters, cersei is a main character

>cersei is a main character
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA OH NO NO NO NO NO

>Robert still gets assassinated
Not if Ned doesn't start telling Cersei about how he knows and how he's going to tell Robert and how all of her tots are going to get rek'd by Robert unless she GTFO's
>Cersei still moves against Ned
Why? Ned is unaware of incest, at most he'll break up the engagement between Joff and Sansa on account of Joff being a little shit and that would be the end of it.
>Everyone discovers the incest anyway when Stannis sends out his letters
This is true, but without Ned's extremely suspicious arrest and execution, most people are unlikely to trust Stannis. He himself knows this, which is why he got Jon Arryn in on the case in the first place, and why he went into hiding after Jon died instead of declaring the truth to the world.

They married into other families though, Rhaenyra was half Arryn, Aegon II was half Hightower, got a banner, words, gave up polygamy, never instituted slavery, beloved in the faith, etc. Better than rhiynar who changed Dorne's culture, succession and skin tone to fit themselves, and several Andals didn't assimilate and north didn't assimilate anything, they're still the same

Who the fuck gives up dragons? You want the other houses to give up swords too?

Cutest psycho!

Attached: 1558483051892.png (716x927, 740K)

>Rhaenyra was half Arryn, Aegon II was half Hightower
They still lay with their own kin, which is a pretty big sin. If they believed in the faith, they'd drop the incest.

She has way more chapters than young Griff. Him being a red herring would make sense why they cut him from the show

Cersei has no claim to the throne, no realistic support, no anything. The show is pure Lena Headey wank.

They believed in it more or less than others, just in different ways. Baelor cared and several of them never committed incest and were forced to marry siblings like Aerys and Rhaella.

Certainly better assimilated than the Lannisters you mention who now follow the Seven or the other First Men houses taken over by Andals who now follow the Seven

>They still lay with their own kin
This was all sorted out in Jaehaerys' reign

Giving up the incest would mean giving up the dragons.

>Giving up the incest would mean giving up the dragons.
>what is Jon

Son of a guy who's parents and grandparents were siblings
