Read the book, then watch the film. Works best that way. And yes, you'll need subs.

What other Pinecone books can be adapted, and how?

Can i watch the film on .5x speed and mute as the audio book plays?

it worked much better as a book

Movie is a good companion piece to the book imo

After watching this film a second time I was amazed at how much of it blew past my head during the first viewing. I didn't even the remember the shootout scene at all.
Every PTA movie past TWBB has seemed like a weird mess after the first viewing and then revealed itself to be pure, distilled kino after the second.

Bleeding Edge would be fun. Michael Mann should've done that. Still can't believe Pynchon name-dropped Hideo Kojima in that book lol
A Crying Of Lot 49 can be done too.

PTA has only gotten better over the years. The Master is probably his best. Phantom Thread and TWBB are top 3.
Everyone I talk to says magnolia and Boogie Nights are his best kek

PTA is a faggot and hack.

There Will Be Blood is the only good film he's ever made.

Filtered.

Lynch should do Vineland.

>Everyone I talk to says magnolia and Boogie Nights are his best kek
could be nostalgia

don't put feet on your poster if your movie isn't about feet

false fucking advertising

PTA took inspiration from his friend Tarankino

Oh no these are all people in their early 20s kek

I could watch magnolia again
and again
and

same. and of all his movies i've seen Boogie Nights. it's my favorite. not his best but my favorite.

>and of all his movies i've seen Boogie Nights
*the most

I liked this and Punch Drunk Love the most. Phantom Thread was like a Lifetime movie for housewives or something, it was gay.

for me it’s the humor and the soundtrack

Pynchon is a hack

stuff happening: the movie

As someone who has read all of pinecones books we really need Mason and dixon. Bro kino for sure

DRAINAGE!

Yes! You said the thing from the movie!

Yes, this is how it’s intended to be watched

who here /hard8/

No

It's so bad. Riley and Palthrow were so shitty and I hated everytime they were on screen. So forced and bad. Everything else PTA has done is top notch after Hard 8.

Based

Under the Silver Lake is kinda similar to TCoL49, but an actual adaption would be kino

watch The Long Goodbye if you haven't user

>Under the Silver Lake
really forces you to think
