You're doing it again. Most people are not that much better than most other people. Even actors, unless they're incredibly talented, are mostly just lucky. In what way is someone like Chris Hemsworth so much better than you? His looks are pure luck. His career is mostly luck. He's not a talented actor. And his muscles, fame, money are all just byproducts of the luck he's had. He's really not all that better

It doesn't matter if it's luck, it makes you feel helpless about life because of that very reason. Luck is what society values. Prettier people were luckier, people with better jobs and education were luckier. People value those who are the luckiest. And lucky people enjoy life more.
You can have the goal of being a good person but it may not be enough to make you enjoy life yourself.
And I guess it's natural to think that, despite the evidence against it, there should be some sort of justice to life and luck. So that gives people false hope and makes people compare themselves to others.

Your number one goal should then be to work on your mindset until you completely stop comparing yourself to other people. That should not interest you. The only time you should be looking at other people is to see if they need help. You have your own cross to bear so bear it with dignity and without self pity. It's incredibly hard. I'm still working on it myself. You're going against millions of years of evolution. But it is achievable. And once you get to that point of not constantly comparing yourself, life becomes so much easier.

FACT: The actual best time to die is in childhood/teenage years, followed by young adulthood. Aging is complete garbage and having a long life is completely overrated. Quality over quantity.

Filmmaking is a miserable thing most of the time. It has its great moments but it is more about the prestige of being a part of something that ideally is going to be good and remembered. But I've worked on sets where there are 8 year olds being told to say a line a certain way whilst a crew of middle-aged men are working around them. It's just a sad abstract kind of lonely profession.

You got to like yourself before you can enjoy life. I like myself, so I enjoy my life. Even when things are shit. Only 5% of the time do I hate not having the freedom to avoid wageslaving.
