Branaugh's Henry V speech. Makes me want to kill frogs

Never unless he wants to forever be known as a pussy and be granted zero respect from his fellow man. I guess it's okay to do in extreme privacy as long as nobody finds out, but YOU will always know and might not respect yourself after

The Pope of Greenwich Village was decent. NYC looks fantastic in it. And Eric Roberts is out of control. good flick

That was after the speech in Africa right? beautiful episode

when he gets punched/kicked in the balls

that was before he started tinkering with his face. HD&TMM is the first movie where the surgery is noticeable.

>People still don't understand the whole "love transcends time" bit
Anne Hathaway's character was desperately reaching for any reason to go to her lover's planet and came up with a bullshit appeal to emotional mysticism, which the other characters call her on.Later on When Cooper realizes that the wormhole creators might be humans from the future he makes a reference to Hathaway's bullshit speech about love transcending time.

The point of this was not that love is literally magical but rather that a person's affection for others can persist even long after both people are gone, and that love is a emotion that can be expected to remain amongst humanity even into the distant future, the future humans created the wormhole in the present to save their ancestors and they were relying on Cooper's affection for his daughter as a means for him to relay that info back to her.

It's really not that difficult but then again Yea Forums are the retards that confused Bane saying "for you" to mean that he was CIA's big guy rather than the act of CIA tearing off Bane's mask being painful for CIA.

I honestly can't talk about this movie without cracking some tears. It makes me feel like a bitch but im happy that a film can bring up such emotion for me.
>Its not the tradegy that gets to me though
It's horrifically tragic but what makes ke break down is the ending.
When you see the ripples left after what happened, and how so many people were affected and how so many people cared for the elderly couple. I cant help but think of my highschool acquaintance who took his own life, i wish i spent more time with him i wish i knew what he was going through, i just break down like a bitch when i see how many people's lives changed because of one person and it kills me to think he thought he was alone in this life.
Tell people how you feel about them idk

It's the next scene, when the Captain is crying alone. that one got me recently. Because I do that irl too. I sob and shed a tear or two, in privacy or with very intimate people.

The series should have ended here. It was basically a perfect ending for a film franchise.

Well The Rock demanded more money, and the studios love The Rock (for some reason), so here we are.

Just one of Bill's elite plays for any other writer would carry his name through history.
Shakespeare had almost ten.

The second greatest artist is closer to an illiterate buffon than Shakespeare.

Vin Diesel and the rest of the original crew should have refused to do anymore. The Rock is doing a spin off, but the main series is still going.

>Chris did get out. He enrolled in the college courses with me, and although it was hard, he gutted it out like he always did. He went on to college and eventually became a lawyer. Last week, he entered a fast food restaurant. Just ahead of him, two men got into an argument; one of them pulled a knife. Chris, who'd always made the best peace, tried to break it up. He was stabbed in the throat. He died almost instantly.

If you're getting emotions you need to suppress over these shitty scenes then you are a very vaginal man. The only exception being the Gladiator scene. I guess this is what happens when there are no men around to raise their sons. The boys become like women.

>Stop feeling what I don't feel!

>I'm bad, and that's good.
>I will never be good, and that's not bad.

You all could learn a lot from this

There is something about the noble sacrifice that will always get me.

Beyond Kino.

Men can cry when they're happy. Men can cry when something bad happens to someone else. But crying when something bad happens to you is a bit weak.

Do you people cry over video games too?

I might have.

I dunno I teared up like a bitchboy when I heard Gwyn's theme in Dark Souls 3. There's just something about the whole sad cycle of the story in those games...

If this doesn't make you cry, you're a monster.

Just watching that .webm has me tearing up, watching Watership Down fills me with both dread and sadness. But having Hazel die is also a sweet conclussion, sweeter than if they had just panned back and gone with "And they lived happily ever after."

Attached: Movie_poster_watership_down.jpg (325x488, 60K)

It's a perfectly natural conclusion, that most stories avoid. Eventually we all have to die, and I'm glad that Hazel died knowing that his kin were safe and his work wasn't for naught.

The real saddest part is realising that Teddy is in the room and that nobody cares. David's love was always passionate, conditional and about what he wanted, while Teddy was clearly willing to do anything for David just because he identified with him as a fellow toy. David was too selfish (by design or a character flaw) to ever appreciate that he probably had one the most loyal companions in the history of film because he was so focused on seeking what would make him feel fulfilled.

Also Gigolo Joe died for him. Joe, Teddy and David were all programmed lovers, but David appears to be the only one who was never able to love organically, maybe because he was programmed so strongly and rigidly next to the other two.

Remember, this movie was written by Stanley Kubrick.

>the scene in the church just before when he was talking about pretending to be asleep when his mom came home after work

You seem to be right on getting the point, that "real" love and "programmed" love are increasingly hard to differentiate.

True classic there. More recently Chernobyl really appealed to me for the same reason
>You'll do it because it must be done. You'll do it because nobody else can. And if you don't, millions will die. If you tell me that's not enough, I won't believe you. This is what has always set our people apart. A thousand years of sacrifice in our veins. And every generation must know its own suffering. I spit on the people who did this, and I curse the price I have to pay. But I'm making my peace with it, now you make yours. And go into that water. Because it must be done.

It's a movie to entertain children with animals. Is that difficult for your small non-American brain to understand?

Jesus Christ that was horrible.

"Of all the ministers and all the deputies entire congregation of obedient fools, they mistakenly sent the one good man. For God's sake, Boris, you were the one who mattered most."

I felt feels at this scene and I don't know any alcoholics. I can't imagine this scene if I did, especially a parent.

Completely misunderstood film. People are genuinely fucking retarded when they say that it's a happy ending.

Attached: doyourbest.jpg (970x545, 101K)

It wouldn't be misunderstood if Spielberg hadn't tacked on a fucking horrible disney ending. AI should have ended in the ice, frozen just out of reach of the angel. It was a perfect ending and that extra shit soured the whole experience.

Saw Foxcatcher recently. Not an amazing movie, but it had some poignant moments. Strong performances by Steve Carrell and (surprisingly) Channing Tatum. Without spoiling too much, Tatum plays a wrestler who goes to a big international tournament and then jobs it. The sheer frustration and anger when he's alone in his hotel room afterwards, and the way he gorges himself on food to distract himself from the emotional pain was quite relatable.

It must be harsh being so conceited you totally miss the point of the movie because you have to feel like you're smarter than the majority when you're really not.

Yep.

>I knew, somehow, that I had to stay alive. Somehow. I had to keep breathing. Even though there was no reason to hope. And all my logic said that I would never see this place again. So that's what I did. I stayed alive. I kept breathing. And one day my logic was proven all wrong because the tide came in, and gave me a sail.

>And now, here I am. I'm back. In Memphis, talking to you. I have ice in my glass... And I've lost her all over again. I'm so sad that I don't have Kelly. But I'm so grateful that she was with me on that island.

>And I know what I have to do now.

>I gotta keep breathing. Because tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide could bring?

This shit made me tear up. It hit me out of nowhere. I wasn't even that into the film until this scene. Fuck.

When Spock fixes his uniform. Gets me every fucking time.

This mother fucker just got cooked and his organs are actively falling apart, goes blind from the radiation even.. Yet to his last he keeps his composure. I finally break down when he hits the glass.

And of course when Kirk's voice cracks at "human"... I turn into a little baby.

>We are assembled here today to pay final respects to our honored dead. And yet it should be noted that in the midst of our sorrow, this death takes place in the shadow of new life, the sunrise of a new world; a world that our beloved comrade gave his life to protect and nourish. He did not feel this sacrifice a vain or empty one, and we will not debate his profound wisdom at these proceedings.

this kid had everything I didn't. He was friends with just about everyone, family was well off, talented, bright. Never seen him with anything less than a half smile. He was going to do great.
Nobody would have ever guessed they'd come into school one day and he wouldn't be there ever again.
It was that which made me truly realize how indiscriminate these demons are.
It kills me to think about what kind of shit was going through his head. That's the only reason I'm still kicking today.

Anderson gets shit on too much desu.

This is the most low-key kino scene in the whole film. It's such a small thing but it has such a huge impact.

The better ending is the alternate one where he goes back into the womb and strangles himself. Like his mom mentions when they're having dinner that she had 2 other stillbirths before him so it gets the noggin joggin

Spike Lee is an asshole but that is one of the most kino American films ever

Stupid idiot. You cry because it affects others, If you are broke, sick or hurt, that affects your close relatives or friends, if you have any. That's what you think about when you cry (for yourself).
