When I realized how stupid it was

2002ish. Mid 90s to early 2000s was my sweet spot. I checked back in during the Punk and Bryan years but never really full timing it and it still went to shit and got old quick. They just don't know how or don't care to make consistently interesting television anymore. It feels like the whole operation is on autopilot and not really pushing to be great. Everything feels very old hat. Nothing feels fresh about their ideas.

About the time they changed the name to WWE, my shit was the 90s/Monday Night Wars/Attitude era.

I was talking about WWE. I really haven't watched a ton of the Indy stuff. Some. Not much. Once WCW and ECW folded the air was kind of taken out of wrestling and it truly became a one man race.

Shawn Michaels - Heartbreak kid
Hardy boys - Dudes jumping off shit
Undertaker/Kane - Edgy spooky men
Dudley boys - just want to break some tables
Kurt Angle - Olympic medalist

List goes on. Everyone had this background and personality about them. Nowadays you just have these vanilla nameless people. Even their outfits in the ring are them are just them in black underwear. There’s nothing interesting about anyone.
