You should look into ripping and encoding your own Blu-rays. I've been doing it for years and I fucking love it. Just recently bought the Alien Anthology on Blu-ray for $17. Two versions of all four films plus a retarded amount of special features for each.

You're right he basically had no money to film the thing. In the scene where the T101 guns down the first Sarah Conner in her home then hijacks a nearby car, they basically had arnie show up and quickly change clothes in the street, told him to punch out this window and steal the car, then they all had to get the fuck outta dodge because they hadn't secured the area for filming or alerted the police.
Of course Arnie is all like "Yeah ok" and just fucking does it

Cameron explains this on the commentary.
the metal of the shotgun pellets has a localised emp effect from the sparks caused when they hit the metal of the endoskeleton at high velocity. this causes temporary unexpected behaviour in the circuits and motors, such as paralysis or jerking movements, similar to a person being electrocuted.
that's what causes the terminator to fall over or appear to jump backwards when hit with multiple shells in succession.
