It has to be super scary

Idiocracy

It wasn't supposed to be a documentary!

The Exorcist: Director’s Cut
It has scenes cut from the theater version like the one above.

I was surprised to read that movie grossed less than 1mil.
That's a great one but I watched it too recently. I guess I'm going to start evil dead and see how far into it I get.

Brightburn

>I was surprised to read that movie grossed less than 1mil.
The studio buried it. Only released it in like less than 10 theaters. Probably because it had to much truth in it, and the Jews did't appreciate their plans being exposed.

The Ring

Lost Highway

This shit was scary but inland empire was scarier

The new twin peaks is so pathetic...
Fucking middle age actors...
Fuck this boomer recycled bullshit.
If he wanted to film something he should have created something new.

The newer evil dead movie is actually top tier scary. Conjuring 1 (2 is comedy), hereditary, insidious 1 are all classics at this point. Movies you can't go wrong with.

Something different but good would be stillborn maybe. I think I remember it having a few scares.

Yeah...
Totally...
Actually wait, no...
You're a faggot...
...

This is the water

>What scary movie should I watch guys?
Can't go wrong with 1 and 2.

Hereditary goes beyond conventional horror IMO. It surpasses situational horror and just beats you over the head with emotional horror, family discord, that kind of inescapable dread that comes with knowing a life has been changed forever, and then it hits you with the real shit out of left field.

It's a perfect blend of real and supernatural horror.

>Hereditary

This is actually class a bait

Creep

I liked heriditary until the lame ass satanism. It was technically excellent though.

it really is, im impressed

I've been on a horror binge the past week.
I recommend Fright Night from the 80s.

Assimilate wasnt a bad movie either, if you want a more contemporary movie

Here you go bruv

Look, I can't speak to Heredity's quality. I haven't seen it. But the fact that the same morons who recommend a lot of these movies is part of the reason.
It is likely bait for the inclusion of those classics at the end. But the movies from the first line are crap. The Babadook is the only one I remotely liked. And on the second, Trick 'r Treat.

at this point I'd rather see sneedposting than this image again
that being said, hereditary wasn't that great at all either

based

Here. Make sure it's the 1988 one, though.

the new evil dead is too epic and funny to be scary, the deadite steals the show

A Serbian Film
>Upon its debut on the art film circuit, the film received substantial attention and controversy for its graphic depictions of pornography, rape, necrophilia, and child sexual abuse. The film was investigated in Serbia for crimes against sexual morals and crimes related to the protection of minors.[4] The film has been banned in Spain, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Norway, and was temporarily banned from screening in Brazil.

Eh, even the first one, which was by far the most serious of them, was outright goofy at times.
Though the remake did make me want an anthology version, where different people read from different passages of the book and encounter various types of demons.

I watch this sometimes while on shrooms. I always end up jerking off when the blonde milf shows up, though.

Best in recent years

It is. But once you see it once, the rewatch value near nonexistent.
No one read up on this movie before you see it.

no

Been quite a while since I watched horror with any kind of interest, but Goodnight Mommy is good. Very unsettling.

A really good line between cheese and genuine horror. Great effects.

The first Tales from the Crypt movie.

for me its Boredello of Blood

This remake.

That was great, but it was just more of a comedy.

What happened to /ffg/?

Yea Forums is the worst board. The fact that so many browsers still name capeshit as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" film genre ever only tells you how far Yea Forums still is from becoming a serious board. Yea Forums have long recognized that the greatest writers of all times are not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times, but the hidden gems of their age. Yea Forums browsers rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Yea Forums is still blinded by commercial success. Capeshit sold more tickets than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Yea Forums browsers grow up listening to a lot of music of the past, Yea Forums browsers grow up reading a lot of literature of the past. Yea Forums browsers are often totally ignorant of the cinema of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that Yea Forums did anything worthy of being saved.

it comes at night was actually garbage, though the witch was good and hereditary was worth a watch at least

Imagine actually typing this

definition of onions

name 3 good horror films

Honestly, people who act like that's a huge amount of text tend to be slow typers. If you you type quickly, it's not that difficult at all.

All of the Conjuring movies and its spin offs

I saw the devil is a fucking action movie. Completely disappointed after I saw it because it's apparently a le classic horror now.

YAG SBARRO

There is nothing wrong with a few jumpscares to keep you on edge if the buildup is right and they are properly done.

Hereditary does have several jumpscares though
>Bird crashing into the window
>Clicking sound from nowhere in the car
There were a few others but I can't remember

Lincoln
