not as bad as i thought, but god dam no where near as good as the other.

lmao shit looks fucking awful

Looks bad it's not the same without our guys

Looks like it won't fill the void Chernobyl left. Guess I'll have to rewatch Mad Men.

Fuck Shinzo Abe and fuck Japanese people

>You believe in Pokemono?

its absolutely pathetic they are basically trying to trick people into watching this show, that's why they didn't change the show name. it will be a huge failure, that looks like some retarded generic horror movie. it's just using the internment camps because its a relevant to politics right now, transparent and absolutely pathetic.

I'm excited.

Looks like a complete downgrade from season 1 in every single way.

why didnt they just turn abominable dans simmons other horror/history book into season 2?

How is there a season 2? I thought the book content was already finishd

>it follows with japs
no thanks

The shot composition looks pretty awful from that trailer.
Cast doesn't really do anything for me either, but the first season's cast is pretty god damn hard to top.
Being set in an American internment camp is KIND of interesting as its not something that gets talked about or filmed about a lot, but its probably going to be heavyhanded as fuck and its going to sap any enjoyment I could have out of the setting.

Probably gonna pass.

its based on a completely different story that has nothing to do with season 1, nothing to do with the book, and nothing to do with the ship named the terror. they are just using this name as a marketing tool to trick idiots into watching it.

They need a 'white America bad' political slant, season 1 was a genuine anomaly considering it had exactly three women character, an all European cast and a gay as the main villain.

If you're gonna make a second season to a show called The Terror, why not make it about this? Seems more fitting to me.

I want to rape Mr. Hickey!

sorry for the unadulterated white man victorian despair snowkino, heres the exact opposite: the series

>tfw about to watch the final 2 episodes of mad men with mom

why call it the terror? the point of the name of the first series was that the ship was called the terror

its so weird, like an user said yesterday it's like having Chernobyl 2: surviving Auschwitz, or breaking bad 2 thats set onboard a space ship being attacked by aliens

>The Sopranos BC
Just imagine the kino

>japanese ghost with hair and kimono and stuff
>jump scares
>all the mains are victims instead of heroes
>background is boring and bland
pass

genre shit for plebs

the terror doesnt even have a big fanbase so what was the point?

Orange man bad

Is season 1 actually good? Tell me what other shows you consider equal tier so I can judge if your opinion is worth following

i think its just for the critic ratings.

Abominable is a stinking pile of shit, I loved The Terror and Drood but the magic just seemed gone with Abominable, it's a slog to read and has the shittiest twist of all time

How is it not obvious that it's going to be an anthology show ? Revisiting more or less obscure period of history with fantastic elements. As far concepts go, I see potential.

>How is it not obvious that it's going to be an anthology show

obvious? the first season is called the terror because the book was called the terror, and the book was called the terror because one of the ships was named the terror. what does that name have to do with a fucking anthology series? just because they turned it into an anthology series does not mean it was "obvious"

>Is season 1 actually good
no
its like all of the lost seasons compiled into one series/season. ep 1, they arrive in mysterious place, mystery setting is introduced, interesting plots. by the end its trash that leave you pissed off that they invented mystery for nothing. also lots of backstabbing and forced drama between the sailors. you expect some bro moments? men sticking up for eachother? nope, they smile to eachother face then when one turns their back the smile turns upside down to frown and they plot to fuck eachother over. a really unenjoyable watch.

have you read Dark Harvest/ Carrion Comfort? What are your thoughts on it?

Yeah, first season was named Terror because of the ship. What's the excuse now to keep the name?

season 1 is totally overrated. it's a 6/10 at best.

AMC is incredibly lazy

This TV show about Americans locking up and torturing innocent minorities in concentration camps is very apt for the current political climate. Well done AMC!

Because, believe it or not, "Terror" can apply to some other things than ships, which is what happens during the events of season.

And yes it's obviously a marketing decision and yes they're using the critical success of season 1 for this season 2, but that just makes sense and if we get a good anthology out of this everyone wins imo.

Attached: derp.gif (208x200, 3.24M)

Why the fuck are you defending this? Are you Asian?

the name of the ship that the story is based on can apply to some other things other than ships. wow, brilliant, thank you amc shill

Oy vey never forget the japocaust baka

>OMG THIS HORROR SHIT LOOKS TERRIBLE!
>DUDE I LOVE MANBEAR! SO FUCKING BASED AND SPOOKY!!

People decided to hate this new season the moment they discovered it wasn't about mu white people. Now they are trying to rationalize it whit pathetic excuses.

go cry about internment camps lmao no one gives a shit

Yeah I did actually I thought they were fun but they didn't engage me as much as The Terror or Drood, so far the Simmons books I prefer are those when he does some "history porn" like with the latter two or with Illium (not history but close enough). Except for Abominable he fucked up there.

Can't wait for the inevitable drumpf references, roasts and take downs. It's about time the media stood up to him instead of being his lap dogs!

I don't know, I see potential in the concept of the anthology, it's not likely that all seasons will follow asian people you know ?

I was responding to
Don't worry I understand Yea Forums can be hard to follow at times ;)

You have to catch him first

Hapa mutt probably, their men's dicks are tiny but their women are hot although crazy.

Looks interesting, hope the acting is good

what's wrong with you man

There was nothing wrong with Manbear

I fucking hate this anthology meme. The second season has no reason to attach itself to the first, except producing kikes wanting to rub a few more shekels. It's an entirely different thing and it cheapens the whole thing.

this is some amc intern lmao

Choosing a Japanese spirit instead of a Native American one is probably going to be a mistake.

Why do Burgernips make such a big deal out of this? We did the same thing to Germans/Italians living in the US too. Nobody even died AFAIK, we just treated them kinda mean and like they were outsiders, which they kinda were in 1940’s America.

This doesn't look like an inherently bad show but it doesn't look like a sequel to The Terror. basically this

Anthology is fine but it literally no reason to call it The Terror which is in reference to the real life ship of the Franklin expedition. This was a script laying around that's been latched onto a better series it has no relation to because they're afraid it'll fail otherwise. Plus, a slapped on political bent, which the first season has no hint of, makes it seem even more desperate.

They should have made a show about the Donner party being stuck in the snow and chased by a native american spirit

no, it looks pretty bad.

A Donner Party series would have been great but they should have tried to keep a theme of disappearances. The Mary Celeste would have been a good one.

>this show won't be as good as S1
>it will receive far more praise and awards due to the socially charged nature of the setting

And you all get to watch!

and every japanese-american critic will give it a 10/10

I'm actively boycotting it. Can't wait for the opinion pieces about the 'problematic first season'.

it might get plebs and normies to watch the first though.

Just realized the Donner party was stuck in the snow the same year Franklin and co. were frozen in the ice outside King william land

>first season was about asian supernatural stuff
>second season is about asian supernatural stuff
This is an outrage!

>Abominable, it's a slog to read and has the shittiest twist of all time
what's the tweest

>Anthology is fine but it literally no reason to call it The Terror which is in reference to the real life ship of the Franklin expedition. This was a script laying around that's been latched onto a better series it has no relation to because they're afraid it'll fail

True, though I'm not that pessimistic about the series and I'm totally fine to see the original series serve as a stepping stone for other projects that might not have been produced otherwise. Then again we only saw a two minutes trailer so far, so there's not much to go on as far as the new season is concerned.

I don't give about that yellow monkeys. Jesus Christ, they could have choose Dyatlov Pass, but no, they choose that.

Imagine if the axis won ww2 and made a horror show about jews in internment camps being haunted by demons from their own culture lmao

I know yall love it but I cant get into it. I thought it was a sort of lovecraft monster thing going on but its just a bunch of jackasses on boats.

The Terror was great, I'd rank it alongside Hannibal (seasons 1 and 2), Chernobyl and Taboo

Ruined it by casting gooks. THEY'RE BORING.

Well, it's a story about japs. Who the fuck they should cast? Your monkey-looking mother?

You probably like Stuart Gordon movies.

they should pick an interesting story

>Well, it's a story about japs
Yeah well that's the problem, you gook lovin son of a bitch.

O B S E S S E D

So basically it follows mountain climbers going for the top of mount Everest during WW2 I think, shenanigans happens and you learn that one of the climbers was actually a spy that tagged along in order to recover some documents on a another spy that died on mount Everest whose body is still there. They then managed to not get killed by nazis disguised as Abominable snowmen and finally recover the documents. It is then revealed that they were photos of Hitler fiddling kids, to which the Frenchman of the group reacts by saying" C'est...Abominable".

Oh and the real Yeti appears at some points and kills nazis I think. Don't read it, it's a 1000 pages long disappointment.

gays shouldn't be allowed to own pets or adopt children

The Tom Hardy mumblekino, it's from Scot Free Productions who also did The Terror

>no based harris
>gooks
oof, yikes

Because this time it's about the TERROR of the white man and his unforgivable actions during World War 2 and even in the aftermath. Americans literally put Japanese in cages!!!! There's no excuse for that. Makes all the shit the axis did look like a cake walk.

looks like a SyFy original

>"I can't relate to people who don't look like me"

And then you complain about others wanting more representation, claiming you're so good at relating to their experiences so they should do the same. But you're really just a lying fucking faggot.

>literally hundred of movies about how America saved everyone in WW2
>w-what, you can't focus on a-anything bad we did, th-that's not f-f-f-fair..."
