Completely difference materials, latex is natural rubber and PVC is a polymer plastic, for example. The easiest way to tell them apart is just looking and how the material is put together, latex is glued and the rest is sown.
The other way is how specular the reflection is. Only shined latex gets that really smooth mirror sheen, and while PVC can get close it's not quite the same. Leather is just leather, it has a certain texture to it and isn't as smooth, wetlook spandex usually has a way less smooth finish.
