Why is Tony Stark even inside the suit instead of remote controlling from some safe place?

Other than because the plot needs him in danger to generate tension? But if that's the only reason then, it's certainly plot hole.

that's dr doom's schtick

Maybe he just feels like he should be in there.

Because he's iron man, not remote control suit man

Wow that's so clever :)
Keep it up

he's not a fag like metal knight

It's adorable how people don't understand technology, like radio waves, and then make posts saying some Sci fi thing doesn't make sense. Not realizing the latency and data transfer would need to brake the literal rules of relativity around the speed of light for it too work. Being vastly more unfeasible than the actual Sci fi proposed.

TLDR latency is a bitch, and radio waves(light waves) can very easily be blocked. So in person control of a single precision weapon makes sense. For a fleet of replacebale drones remote makes sense.

Maybe Stark should be less of a retard and be like Doom

Nothing is believable or scientifically accurate about this shit, I don't see why "muh latency" should be the exception

He's in a remote suit in the spiderman film
