Generally the places where they are seen are small rural towns with people living way out near the woods. They typically know what's out there and so do the people that live in the nearby towns. Biologists rarely even look at footage because it's not how they study environments. Samples of fur, fluids, leavings ect. is waaaaay more conclusive and better to study than footage. If this stuff was consistently found it would lend to the idea of loch ness or bigfoot being real.
