endgame running time was totally unjustified and they stretched the old scenes revisit gimmick to breaking point. we knew that the dusted would be back but they made the journey there too convoluted and fan wanky. Unpopular opinion, at least while Endgame is fresh, Infinity War is superior movie. it actually has stakes, moves the plot forward, all pieces feel like they belong instead of just being there for fan service and delivers the promised shocks. None of that is present in Endgame.

Infinity War had an element of moral complexity to it (especially in regard to Thanos) that Endgame simply did not have and Endgame is all the poorer for it.
