Jarmusch's career is over right? I don't think I've ever seen something so out of touch and cliche

His films were never good to begin with
This
I'm a fan of his work (meaning, I've seen Night on Earth and Coffee and Cigarettes and liked them both) but I must say that from what I've seen of this film's trailer am I greatly disappointed in him.
>"zombies" blabbering out "fashion" "wi-fi" "bluetooth"
Real subtle Jimbo!
what was the good movie he made? i saw that shitty thing with celebs drinking coffee - steve coogan was funny but the rest were boring and when jack white started up with some caper i had to fuckin turn it off so
>out of touch and cliche
doesn't seem a far path to have travelled
wait am i wrong or did he make ghost dog though?
I enjoyed Stranger Than Paradise and Broken Flowers, this was just trying to be haHahA so randum xD while ham fisting political views for no apparent reason
Also Sturgill Simpson is in it a lot as some kind of cross-promotion or something
I liked Broken Flowers and Ghost Dog
Broken flowers, Paterson. Only lovers left alive is shit desu. That’s about it
I was actually curious if the actors were given their scripts the day of/improv'd the majority of dialogue.
Nope, that's just how the whole movie feels.
Paterson is the comfiest movie I've seen.
His only appeal was being cool and hip in the 80-90s. You can't be hip and cool when you are in your 60s. People don't realize he's aged because he's always had white hair but he's really old now.
Dead man and down by law are objectively his best films
ghost dog is kino
This movie could have been fine if things tied together more.
>2019
>dude a zombie movie!
What the fuck was he thinking?
Shit, you're right. He's a literal boomer.
tv is full of plebs as usual.
this'll be on netflix soon then?
the plebs are the ones praising it just because it’s a jarmusch movie and calling it a comedic triumph
Dead Man is the most boring movie I've ever seen. Ghost Dog is the second most boring movie I've ever seen. When someone recommends a Jarmusch film I immediately know they're a pretentious fuck.
Always happens with past their prime auteurs. Pseuds latch onto them 2 decades too late, haven't seen the early movies that garnered them legitimate praise from connaisseurs, but praise the creatively senile late movies to fit in. It's a Cannes specialty.
all these plebs ITT acting like paterson wasn't Yea Forums's favorite film of 2016
>selena gomez spirals closer to the abyss and doesn't want to do a world tour
>decides to do a new movie
why is selena cast in every shit movie that comes out? whats wrong with her?
