It's got really strong character drama and story though.
The art of it's good, it's paced well, and the tone is fantastic. It's a very good film. It won the Palme d'Or for good reason.

As someone who lives in the North this was a weird film. I could see the types of people it was trying to depict but it distorts them too much due to what I assume are propaganda reasons. So in the end it's not realistic at all but I can see how some yank or suvverner could be fooled by it. This is England is more realistic while still getting across a message
