Cobra kai really is a smash hit. It has the highest ratings/views of any streamed show.

The specific content also might lure people in or keep them from dropping the service if it's particularly good or serves a cult niche.
This is why netflix has that seemingly scattershot variety of niche programming; they're trying to attract or serve specifc audience sub-segments.

A show like Chambers gets dropped primarily because it has shit reviews and thus makes the service quality look bad (which is a chronic problem for netflix), while also not actually being watched by anyone, thus it's costing money while doing nothing for netflix's rep or customer retention.
