Demille is pure kinographique. Excellent taste. How the hell did he get away with showing visible breasts in 1956?
I CAN SEE HER NIPPLE
The unwritten rule is that you can get away with it if it's historical or mythological.
this.
>look how degenerate and lewd the ancients were.
>good thing we have christ and a strong sense of shame nowadays
Yes.
>good thing we have christ and a strong sense of shame nowadays
We lost that, user. I don't have examples of the modern degeneracy saved because I don't want to look at that but I'm sure some other user will post some webms soon enough.
It's a sad, sick world.
shut the fuck up boomer mom
Based Demilleposters.
I've seen Ten Commandments, Samson and Delilah, and The Greatest Show On Earth, what should I watch next?
Go to bed, kiddo.
you know you can just click on someones post number to reply to them newfriend?
50's/60's women look so much better then women now.
go back to your qanon threads boomermom
why do the jannies delete any thread when reddit SJWs get uppity and end up getting BTFO?
Yes. My film archive starts in 1913 and ends in 1979. I have seen films newer than that, but they are garish, common, and vulgar.
The post was deleted, ya dunce.
I gotta watch this movie.
does reddit really think this way?
Dare I say it, supreme and tasteful?
not it wasnt, the post number is just wrong
>we lost that
Depends who you mean by “we”. Everyone in the world is not merely an extension of you. If you want to find sexual prudes, there are fucking shitloads of warehouse-style mega churches in the US full of sexually repressed future therapy cases for you to be friends with.
have you taken your medication tonight?
Yes, because Christians have absolutely never done anything horrible. No degeneracy there!
because it reminds them how much money they earn to clean shitposting
kinda. charlie chaplin isnt funny btw.
1932
Exactly.
>good thing we have christ and a strong sense of shame nowadays
This except unironically
>pointy bras will never be back in style
Do you not have a TV? ABC airs it every Easter. I don't think I've gone a year without watching it my whole life.
doing something like this was a lot easier before 1934 though
Yeah, but that was pre-Code.
That was still before the Code was fully enforced
isnt this top post the one being quoted?
i watched this movie when i was a teenager. how did i never notice the nipple?
I deleted it because I forgot to greentext.
you probably watched at 480i on a crt
Yeah.
Why did GwtW look better than most technicolor films that came out 10-20 years later?
That’s true, HD has brought out the nips from history
>back in the 1950s, 40-year-old hags and crazy aunts were the sex symbols
It's the same with Black Narcissus, people who made them cared.
high budget better restorations good film grade
Because they used a separate strip for each color, instead of putting them all together in later films. Modern technology lets us frame the three colors exactly, so it's like 3x (not literally, but you know what I mean) the resolution of the later Eastmancolor process.
Watch Glorious Technicolor zoomer.
No-one could see them at the time.
why wouldn't they be able to?
What do you think she smelled like?
Not only is this a great movie, but it gives you insight into Christian Jew-worship.
>every thread is shitposting and argument
>shitposting and arguments trigger tranny jannies
>thread has been pruned
>You are banned
every time.
does it matter?
reminder that all these women are rotting in the ground
Yes, i liked the Fall of the Roman Empire and Ben Hur
Samson and Delilah is also good, watched it a month ago
And with every death she grows stronger
>thread about WW2 movies gets pruned because people are having discussion other than shitposts
>thread has been pruned
EVERY FUCKING TIME
Yea Forums watches it every year at easter, how new are you?
bags of sand
The set designs on this were amazing.
King of Kings
What did Yea Forums think of Witness for the Prosecution?
do you not understand their is a thread theme?
i imagined myself blam'ing cums on her pretty face
>00:06
>We lost that, user.
We never had it. People always pretend that we were superior because of x but lost it. The truth is we're always in a state of rising and falling.
The christ and strong sense of shame that we know of today was actually a ploy to help prevent communism in the mid-20th century since communism effectively banned religion.
>50's/60's women look so much better then women now.
I wonder if it's because women back then knew their place, or a combination of that and that women back then didn't have to be flat sticks to be sexy
I always thought young Elizabeth Taylor was one of the sexiest women to ever live
Yes from time to time. Recently rewatched Ben Hur. Great movie even if I was never fond of the christianity part of it, but that comes later in the film anyway, except the part where Jesus gives water to Ben Hur in the desert.
I believe that was one of the plagues of Egypt
They didn't reply on make up as much which fucks up the skin
Yeah, well, you'll be dead too one day.
But will people remember you?
The chariot race is still incredible
Wrong, they saw them in glorious 70mm
>Wrong, they saw them in glorious 70mm
This, watching shit on TV was blurry as fuck but if you watched in theater everything was relatively sharp
>Old TVs look bad, therefore all movies looked bad in the past
Why didn't Moses just become Pharaoh and make everyone in Egypt convert to Judaism?
Those tits are so supple. I bet they have a whole cup of half&half each
What have you got against Yul Brynner?
Every woman in this thread is caked with makeup
ummm, sweeties...
Watched this for a good 10 seconds before looking at her face
The trilogy of films Powell and Pressburger made with Jack Cardiff are amongst the most beautiful colour films ever made.
Fucking Catholics. Uptight assholes. Ruining fun for everyone since 100 AD
For me, probably.
Although the original version of the Code itself was drafted by a Catholic priest, Hays himself wasn't even Catholic: he was a devout Presbyterian (a deacon, at that).
And one must understand that the Code was adopted as an alternative to the federal government stepping in and becoming directly involved in censorship of films (a real danger at the time because SCOTUS had effectively held in 1915 that the cinema did not qualify for 1st Amendment protection—a position which would not change until 1952). Neither Hollywood nor the Church wanted that outcome, and collaboration on a program of self-censorship was the result.
Not always true. The French and the Italians are catholics.
dumbass
>t. closet fag trying to convince himself that he isn't a fag
LMAO
the quality was like 240P AT BEST. You couldn't see that then.
I fucking love watching silverscreen classics when im really stoned
This. It's not Catholics in general: it's the Irish.
>I wonder if it's because women back then knew their place, or a combination of that and that women back then didn't have to be flat sticks to be sexy
PR people decided what was sexy and promoted it as such. Combine that with repressed sexuality and morality watcher.
Not sure if bait but it was shot in VistaVision, one of the highest resolution formats next to 70mm and Cinerama.
>Why can't I show blacked pornography at my local cinema
Fuck off, Shlomo.
good, angry boobs are as bad as ugly crying
>Breen was a prime example of Ford’s complaint about the futility of people opposing Jewish behavior without ever naming them directly. Breen, according to multiple private correspondences, was an anti-Semite, but he never dared to say it publicly.
>In 1932, he wrote to a Jesuit confidant that the Jews are "a rotten bunch of vile people with no respect for anything beyond the making of money. . . . Here [in Hollywood] we have Paganism rampant and in its most virulent form. Drunkenness and debauchery are commonplace. Sexual perversion is rampant . . . any number of our directors and stars are perverts. . . . These Jews seem to think of nothing but making money and sexual indulgence. . . . Ninety-five percent of these folks are Jews of an Eastern European lineage. They are, probably, the scum of the earth."
He wrote to his assistant, Martin Quigley, that same year: “The fact is that these damn Jews are a dirty, filthy lot.”
>Two years later, again in a letter to a Jesuit, while referring to one movie official as “a kike Jew of the very lowest type,” Breen claimed to be the one man “who could cram decent ethics down the throats of the Jews.”
What did he mean by this?
For me? Its Ann Blyth
I really thought her sister was gonna outlive her.
underrated
Tenno Heika BANZAI!
>That failed attempt to hide her nipples...
You get some tasteful shots of her butt cheeks in Red Shoes (1948)
list kino classics ples
>angry boobs
based atheist!!!!
Pure Kino
For me, it was the goddess Judi Bowker.
clownworld kino
how exactly do we define 'classic'?
If you're a fan of restoration tech, check out how HBO redid William Wyler's original reels taken during his time with the 8th Air Force in WWII. I watched "The Cold Blue" in theaters last month and it genuinely looks the equivalent of 2K resolution.
I like older films in general
Pic related is actually my favourite movie, not only is Gene Tierney an absolute bombshell in it, but the "aging technology" is a lot better than in most modern films
I used to fast forward to the “Enjoy Being a Girl”scene so I could nut to these legs in my adolescence.
Now I'm a chinky chaser. Who would have guessed.
Mostly movies full of white people 20 yrs older
>20 years older
Why do people think of the 90s and 80s movies as "old"? Whenever i think of old films I think of the 40s/50s
>Does Yea Forums like the classics?
The sets and consumes for Cleopatra are unironically amazing.
Because the people saying that are millenials, or worse, zoomers.
ye
i was trying to show a movie from 99 to a friend just the other day and he said "there you go with the old movies again" and got pissed off when i pointed out that not only is he older than the movie but we have seen older movies and he didn't complain to which he replied that he "didn't know they were old"
'71 so not really "classic" but I remember seeing this as a kid and flipping my goddamn shit. Mummies shouldn't look like this.
>You will never exist before the internet and have a non-whore qt gf
AAAAAHHHH
Based retard zoomer. Nudity for sexualities sake is bad. Nudity just because, is fine. Its the human fucking form you faggot. The problem is you dopamine addicted degenerates cant exist around nudity without becoming hypersexualized
god i wish that mutilated hand was mine
Gonna post two Grace Kellies.
Exactly. what the fuck, Hammer? That is basically softcore.
also: I've still never actually seen all of Breathless and I can't even say what the plot it I just remember seeing her as a kid and falling in love. Holy shit.
The Code was a good thing.
Prove me wrong
I always felt bad for Nefretiti, she seemed like good woman trying to do everything for her man a nd just got the shitty end of the stick.
Movie never recovers from the 15 minute ballet sequence in the middle. It's too powerful for the rest of the movie to live up too
For some reason this shot was lost in time and never has appeared in no new version of Spartacus
Meanwhile in Europe
yes, historical racism and sexism in old movies is based & redpilled.
Meanwhile in Europe (2)
Meanwhile in Europe (3)
Jew filth
Meanwhile in Europe (4)
What?
You heard me, kike.

from the thumbnail i thought she had really hairy pits and was disappointed to see this was not the case
why you gotta do this to my dick user?
this thread seems like a good place to ask this. Anyone knows what films are at 0:36 and 1:36?
youtube.com
imagine the smell
oh my, forgot to post the second one.
Based Yulposter.
Apparently long before Hollywood era there were horror novels that usally portrayed mummies as beautiful women who regenerated their mummified bodies. Jewel of Seven Stars, Iras, Romance of the Mummy..
>armpit hair
Three Strip Technicolor
wtf is going on in this scene
TIL she's still alive!
en.wikipedia.org
its from the Gene Krupa Story
after graduation he's supposed to go the priesthood but she's ready to show him what he's missing out on and takes his car keys
>They are, probably, the scum of the earth.
kek
yeah but why does he pick her up and shake her like that
If it was a car you'd have already taken off the "classic" license plate and put on "antique"
she puts his keys in her bikini
Why can't we do pageantry anymore?
oh and he rejected the puss for some reason
>indulging thots
This Buh-tyah-tiss is shit compared to the true Batiatus
Yes. Stuff like Sunset Blvd, North by Northwest, The third man, Singing in the rain, Psycho, Breathless, The gabinet of Doctor Calligari, Metropolis, Alphaville, 8 1/2, M the vampire, It happened one night, etc.
Film??
I've only seen a few of the old classics/epics, such as Spartacus, and would love to see them uncut and uncensored like some of the versions I've seen are. Am I going to have to track down DVDs for all of these? I don't really have the space for that.
Old books are amazing. I read through A Princess of Mars, and the other entries in the Mars series and the write isn't shy about the woman there being happy to show off their bodies covered in little more than complimenting, but hardly covering, ornamental jewelry.
