Who the fuck do you think you're talking to?
It's over the top and hamfisted, most retards who worship this movie don't understand the message. Solid 7 out of 10.
fug chew mane
i dont like the "people" who enjoy this movie
Say goodnight to the bad guy.
>that fag wigger with a chinstrap that you used to smoke weed with in highschool who had a scarface poster in his bedroom
what was his name Yea Forums?
t. newfag
kyle
I enjoyed watching it but I don't exactly have any desire to see it again either. There are better Al Pacino movies.
Aw I av een deys lyfe es my baws n my wurrd an ion break em fuh no wan chu unna-stan
Ryan and Jake at my school.
great movie when you're 15
Unless a movie/show/actor has a meme associated with it, it will pretty much get ignored here.
Chris, I think? Douchebag waved a loaded gun in my face once.
>I'll only tell you this one time Tony
>don't fuck me
>don't you ever fuck me
it's shit and only niggers and teenagers like it
Sosa was a nice guy, too bad Tony blew it, but no kids no women, mang. He didn't need that chit in his life!
they think its reddit or something
>OUR FRIEND GAVE A SPEECH AT THE UN TONY
Carlito's Way is better.
>sucking and fucking and sucking and fucking and sucking and fucking and sucking and fucking
We don't like you either nigger.
because Yea Forums is a bunch of cock-a-roaches
THERE ISN'T GOING TO BE A NEXT WEEK YOU LITTLE MONKEY!!!
^imagine the type of living conditions that spawn such a belief
Fuckin Leon man. His mom was a coked up mess, nice tits though
me
>BEETCH
>LESBIAN
It's just a really obvious reference by now, like A Clockwork Orange. Some things were done to death already by Generation X. Most of the movies and references they thought were cool are just rote now.
how did this became a nigger movie? pacino's white and there's no discernible race pandering
the glorification of drug dealing and violence is naturally appealing to melanin enriched urban gentlemen
Gangster culture - they all think they're Tony Montana
Because the character is rich, powerful, full of drugs, masculine, and doesn't give a shit about anythin
Essentially everything rap culture wants to be. Same reason why niggers all rapped about wanting to be Trump before the election.
power fantasy of a guy that was dirt poor becoming a high profile gangster
being a crude retard that gets rich quick selling drugs seems like an achievable dream to them all of course while forgetting how it ends

Kino of the Kinos
the dream of the come up
Ever see that image about a Cyberpunk looking dude shooting out phrases such as
>dangers of rampant capitalism
>Technology is useful but must be approached carefully
But its all going over this guys head and he's jsut saying "wow cool future!"
It's that
Brad
He brought the game to school too
He also stole my oneitis but jokes on him because he washed out of the army
>You want me to believe that Omar was a stoolie because Sosa says so?
Nothing wrong with it when you're a high schooler to be honest. Scarface captures edgy teenager feels incredibly well.
LEZ-BEEYON
It was too ahead of its time.
Adam. He was as you described and extreme cringe but still fun to be around for some reason
My coworkers are all gen x boomers and they never reference a clockwork orange.
Never forget Franks house had that glass elevator for one floor lul
I think the director is forgetting things because black and white stills show that the chainsaw scene WAS more gruesome, but the debate is whether it ever made it into the film. Some say yes, most say no. I'd say it's likely that early screenings had the gore, or maybe it only made a test screening, but I've never seen it anywhere included into the movie.
It's not a classic. If you're reading this post, think of the director's name in your head. Go ahead, try and do it. Now search for the director's name using google. Were you right? Probably fucking not. You can reply to this post and pretend you actually knew, but you didn't. It's a shit, literal meme movie before internet memes were a thing. Just a blithe deconstruction of a shitty gangster genre, marketed to people in the 80's who were too jaded to remember actual literal gangsters from the 20's and 30's./
in b4 "it's Brian de Palma". Name one other movie you've seen. You can lie on this board, but you can't lie to yourself user.
>>waaahh I don't like it and I'm a huge snob. Mommy no! dON'T SUCK on my peniS again mommy!
Get help.
>If you're reading this post, think of the director's name in your head.
Brian De Palma. Carrie, Blow Out, Body Double, Dressed to Kill and Carlito's Way are all very good movies.
>he doesn’t even know who Brian de Palma is
it's a not so good movie with some iconic scenes and dialogue thrown in.
none of those were good movies
JUOR WOMB
EES SO POLLUDEH'
this. very good director but ive only seen carrie and carlitos way desu
>t. couldn't name one other movie by Brian de Palma that wasn't Carrie (shitty meme misogynistic exploitative movie that's been done to death and remade a billion times) or The Untouchables (another glib facsimile of the gangster genre featuring known misogynist Sean Connery)
>it's a not so good movie
^imagine all the anus-yayo you'd have to snort to think that
You're entitled to your shitty opinion, just like everybody else.
mynor.
Zoomer opinion. It was a 7/10 movie on release. Bet middle school is really tough, huh buddy?
He was such a jerk to her.
How the fuck do you not know Brian de Palma? He was like one of the premiere directors of his time alongside Scorsese and Spielberg.
kenny
>n. It was a 7/10 movie on release
We already knew you were underage, now you revealed too early. I remember how legendary it was when it first came out, although I was far too young to watch it until years later.
>dude David Cronenberg is a genius. He did Rosemary's Baby. I can't believe you don't know who John Carpenter is. He directed The Thing! Ridley Scott? The guy who directed Alien and Bladerunner?
All memes with literally 1 good movie and 1 okay movie that are somehow pop culture icons like Scarface.
Ray. Exactly as you described but he was a good friend. Really good artist that drew the exact picture from the OP.
class-A 'chit!
People considered 300 "legendary" when it was released. Doesn't make it a good movie, just a sign of the times.
Marshall
>People considered 300 "legendary" when it was released. Doesn't make it a good movie, just a sign of the times.
TAKE THAT BACK YOU ZOOMER MOTHERFUCKER
Funny that Montana was a fucking horrible human being but he grew a conscience all of a sudden just for that moment
Though to be fair he never had to kill children before
I guess even demented fucked up drugged up psychopaths have a limit
>TFW Frank was right.
Why was he wearing sunglasses at night?
Dood looks like a fuckin moron.
>People considered 300 "legendary" when it was released
Lol what?
You want a job, jannie?
carlito's way was 100000x better
Brian De Palma is leagues above them all retard. Great way to show you have shit taste.
Sure kid, go back to watching Harry Potter
>People considered 300 "legendary" when it was released
People back in 1983 didn't use the that word every other sentence like the current cringe generation (yours).
"no you never did nothing, you had someone do it for you."
"i wont kill you, get up."
"manolo shoot that piece of shit."
fucking based
I kind of agree with him in that scene everyone there was dirty fucking money, corrupt politicians and crooked businessmen, bankers, and stockbrokers that fuck people out of millions daily yet nobody bats an eye and they have the nerve to tell Tony that he's a bad person.
Which, of course, he is, but people are so quick to get on their fucking high horse and just forget about what dirty things they do
>direct iconic movies
>become iconic
hmm this triggers me
>Sosa was a nice guy
>tells Tony to blow up a car with a man and his children in it
'Ey Frank...joo kno' hwha' a chazzar is?
Manny was a fucking chad
Love that motherfucker
Thankfully that part was one of the more realistic scenes of the film because most people, good or bad, consider kids off-limits. Even Jesus says that one literally would be better off hanging a stone around their necks and jumping into the sea than to harm a child, in any way. Cubans in 1980 would surely be Catholic, so there you go.
based
Oopsie, forgot, but still, Sosa was a polite guy with a sense of humor even, and you cannot beat his estate. Breathtaking. youtube.com
>>dude David Cronenberg is a genius. He did Rosemary's Baby.
Roman Polanski directed Rosemary's Baby though. Am I missing something here?
Branden
>Frank was right
Was he? Is there proof either way?
I kind of figured Sosa just came up with an excuse to kill Omar because he wanted someone who he could deal with and Omar wasn't being agreeable, he could've made the informant story up.
>misogynistic
Yikes.
UHF is the best Al Pacino movie
Omar is the same guy who set Tony up with the Colombians, man. Omar was totally a stoolie bastardo deluxe.
Yeah well she was kind of a bitch herself
Never got why, being able to have pretty much any woman he wanted, he went with that loosened up cunt
Sure she was pretty and blonde but she was also addicted, spoiled, dumb, and a huge bitch
The only reason I could think of is that his power move was to take his boss' woman
It really wasn't. Penelope Ann Miller is a garbage actress and that love scene was cringe AF.
Every time I see that scene I feel Ernie went straight the fuck home and changed his pants, which he had shit right there on the spot
>generic Grand Theft Auto Lead Character
can you handle a machine gun
brian de palma, one of the biggest and most well received directors of his generation?
Cuz we aren't 14 year olds who aspire to be rap artists
Brian De Palma made Untouchables you fucking cockroach
>Omar is the same guy who set Tony up with the Colombians, man.
That's different, and the looks he gives Frank, watch that scene. Frank and Omar look at each other like they sent Tony on a deal likely to go bad and lead to his death and are surprised he made it out.
Omar was a bastardo for sure but I'm not so sure about stool pigeon
haven't watched domino 2019 yet, read those danes didn't give him final cut what the fuck bros how can you be in the game so long and not get final cut
Because Yea Forums is a religious board. We don't worship humans corrupted by their lust for power here.
It was Gen Xers who I remember always liking A Clockwork Orange. Not saying everyone knew it but punks were really into it of course. Now you never hear young people talk about it. As I said, it's just been known for too long, it's too obvious. Similar to how hip-hop guys were obsessing over Scarface since the 90s. All that feels dated now. Not that Scarface isn't amazing.
Nice troll, user. He's one of my favorite directors and you're pretty pleb if you think he's that obscure.
This was given to my brother by an idiot friend of his years ago. Sat in my parents’ basement until I decided to put it in my condo last week. It’s so tacky that it’s charming
I've always wanted to watch his other work but I always just end up watching scarface again I always never watch anything other than scarface.
Good movie!.
>my middle school experience equates worldwide reception
Best De Palma rankings:
Carrie
Body Double
Scarface
Blow Out
Obsession
Dressed to Kill
Carlito's Way
Sisters
Phantom of the Paradise
The Fury
Where does untouchables fit in here
Brandon. An edgy cringelord but funny.
I haven't watched it in a long time so I need to assess it again. But it is one of his movies that doesn't register as much for me as a quintessential 'De Palma' movie, like Body Double or Blow Out.
get out roastie
Feech got his start in Miami?
300 was visually gorgeous you faggot
I thought the guy at the end was Omar. Am i fuckin retarded?
Ugh i hated that fucking kid
Sosa (The colombian drug lord) had his men take Omar up in a helicopter, tie a rope around his neck, and throw him out to hang
Play Salieri.
Redditface
Because it's a shitty film with a shitty main character, only latched onto by subsequent nigger culture. Even my very liberal white friends and I intuited this (though of course they didn't use the phrase "nigger culture", my own), fifteen years ago.
>ey Frank juu a piza chit
>what you talking about Tony
>yu no what I talkin about yu foking cocoroach
Me.
I was that kid.
Because it's not a classic
It's really not, but I get why you would think that
Wrong
Greg
But it was a goatee, not a chinstrap
Damian, he killed himself a year ago. Horrible loss.
Ezekiel, he spoke with a hick accent. One time he tried to sell me crumpled up pages ripped from a porn magazine in class.
Yea Forums doesn't appreciate pulp kino
>just for that moment
How can you missinterpret something even chimps can understand? Are you sub 80 iq?
>zoomer doesn't know who De Palma is and his "argumentation" revolves around memes
Stick to Fortnight retard
>David Cronenberg is a genius. He did Rosemary's Baby
Are you retarded?
Brian De Palma
joshua
Patrice broke the movie really well
youtube.com
I forget but he got me into American psycho and he was a cool guy
He is the man they aspire to be.
Whitey are better at being niggers than actual niggs.
What were tony and mr sosa laughing at during the montage
Great, nigger culture validating nigger culture. Patrice being a bluepilled slave for a change, retreating into his natural niggerdom, which is not the source of his real great comedic art. Great value-adding contribution user.

Where'd you get that beauty scar, tough guy? Eating pineapple?
Rodger Stone.
>drugs are bad mkay
Wow that was surely a hard message to understand
fuck off back to /pol/ you rat
That's not Dick Tracy
are you retarded
>heh I bet you don't know who directed ET
thanks OP. gonna watch cocaine cowboys(original) not the redux that removed and altered the shit. just have to find the drive i have it stashed on.
Scarface is excellent. Just because some retards get power fantasies over it doesn't make it bad
I love this movie - love, love, love it - no other movie captures the 80's cocaine problem better than Scarface.
Legit have no idea why people have a problem with it.
Redux is still good, I honestly recommend watching both.
do yourself a favor and don't watch it. Looks and feels like some very basic german-scandinavian tv movie and the plot is beyond retarded
Only in America, and Eastern Europle
FUCK GASPAR GOMEZ
Myself. I had that giant dollar with Tony instead of G.W
>"so i told manny to kill frank and now i call the shots"
Only the first half of it is good.
>fuck off back to /pol/ you rat
Because it aged badly. 70s early 80s aesthetics are disgusting. Also, the film has a bad reputation of being liked by dumb thugs who don't understand the moral lesson, they only see it as a rags to riches movie. I remember asking a guy what it was about, he said it's a great story of a guy who starts at the bottom and creates an empire... That guy was a broke nigger.
>which he had shit right there on the spot
Obviously...why you explain your own joke?
>colombian
Bolivia
Duh DunDun DuhDun
it's the only people dislike this movie
they fear to be associated with some of the fanbase
it's a stonecold classic
T-5P1C
JU WANNA GOTA WAH? JU WANN GOTA WAH? JU WANNA GOTA WAH?
They get it and dont care. They get the sister fucking out of the way early
>Redux is still good, I honestly recommend watching both.
pretty sure the stuff that was cut was incriminating but i can't remember. i've seen both tho.
Imagine being this low IQ
CHICHI GET THE YAYO
watching Scarface and then playing Vice City, good times *sips*
It's a great movie, I don't know why the popular conciousness has trimmed it down to "DAE remember say hello to my little friend"/Push it to the Limit
For instance, why does nobody ever mention that weird clown that is performing in the club when Tony almost gets shot? What the fuck was that about?
>there are two kinds of sicarios my friend
>those that come in by the door
>and those that come in by the window
based and powderpilled
They cut stuff and add stuff, certain explanations play out longer or shorter.
its better than goodfellas and casino
nigs want to be tony, whites want to be sosa
Posting the kino intro to the scarface video game
youtube.com
>i told them trump made a pee pee tape in russia and they believed it
>ayo mah nigga Tony got it mean nam sayin he got da coke da crib da fine white bitch ya feel me shiett if dat wuz me I woulda had fiddy bitches
Anyone lower than middle class likes this movie purely because they like vicariously living the fantasy of making it big through crime through Tony
I rewatched it recently.
Yes it's over the top, but it's in no way bland or flat. It's true /sleazecore/ without holding back
>That nose snortling he does
Only thing better would be if he snorted it, then sneezed it up as snot and then ate the snot
I like it better than Godfather desu
more campy, but I like that about it
The chainsaw scene is fucked up once you realize shit like that happens on the daily. Mexican gore vids and pics make me afraid of being captured by a gang.
friendly reminder the real sosa was an even bigger badass
>when you have a literal nazi war lord in charge of your security
we found the zoomer redditor
Probably.
>a film is bad because certain groups love it
holy insecure plebs. scarface is a masterpiece. de palma gets no respect. only scorsese has had a better career than him. the bonfire of the vanities is 150 years ahead its time.
hey man, you got a job!
I still have 2
>Scarface? Ha, it's clearly for children and wannabe rappers from urban zones.
>OMG THE BLACK MAN IN TIGHTS AND PIG FACED STRONG WOMAN IN A CAPE BEAT UP THE CGI WHITE SUPREMACIST OCTOPUS!!!!!!!!
MATAMOS A ESTE TIPO SOLO
SIN MUJEL Y SIN HIJO
personally is one of my favorite movies
the ending always gets me
Saw it again it recently and it was boring. I liked Al Pacino acting but the movie is just a set of random events.
Al Pacino seems really stiff and awkward in the beginning scenes of the movies.
Is this Al's bad acting, or is he expressing the vulnerabilities of Tony in the infancy of his drug career?
PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT!
found the facebook memer
This song still makes me pumped
youtube.com
Only people who like this movie are niggers who sell shitty brown weed and have delusions of grandeur thinking that they're gonna be next kingpin
Push it to the Limit fucking sucks, even within the realm of cheesy 80s power ballads
t. didn't appreciate this song everytime it came on the radio in GTA3
I thought GTAs radio was just collection of shit made in-house
Who here has seen the lost tape?
Patrice's breakdown is really good, both from a comedic and true perspective. Sure, in the end Tony was a maniac and did not have a happy fullfilling life, because of what he did to get to the top. However, you can also "admire" his character from a purely hedonistic point of view. He took what he wanted, killed who got in his way, and when he was on top, fucked until he grew tired of it, bought bullshit until he grew tired of it, and did blow until a thousand colombians fucked him up. Like most people, that's not my idea of a well lived life, but other might say he got to experience a lot of the absolute excesses that life has to offer, and that can be attractive to some people ("EVERY BLACK MAN WANNA DO THAT MAN!").
Even ignoring that whole thing, the movie tells a story that keeps you interested the whole way through and has a simple yet effective message, with the added bonus of the whole "Breaking Bad" effect, where you start the movie rooting for this guy to get out of a shitty situation, and by the end you hate him for what he has turned himself into.
I met the dude who comes up to pat him and say "at yu gate a jahb mane"
Same dude banging on Tony's door while the Bolivians raided his mansion
Nice guy, wanted me and my boys to find him blow
kek best line of the movie, right up there with
>LOOK MANNY PELICAN FLYY PELICAN
The 1932 original was better, and only brainlets disagree
Scarface is the greatest movie of all time, anyone who doesn't like it is a tryhard faggot with no friends
tbf it's unclear if Sosa knew there was going to be children in the car
it was the assassin that didn't care
>scarface very good. the bestest of ever
Don't you have some homo erotic arthouse shit to watch faggot?
Diamand, some albanian dude
He didn't have a Scarface poster but I think it was probably Dan, dude lost his mind off drugs I think
it's a classic rags to riches story, white boi
>art hose not good. try too hard. i like scarface because its the most best movie all time
>yfw you cut the first five minutes of the movie whenever you show the movie to friends
it makes the movie so much more kino and good i still can't believe it
