Black Panther came out during the hey day of Movie Pass. Back then people were using the same pass to see Black Panther multiple times. They had to change the business model after, by the time Spiderman came out you could only see a single movie once. Black Panther probably played a big role in bankrupting them.

This isn't 2001 any more user. Homecoming is the 7th stand-alone Spiderman movie released in the last 20 years. In our age we have on average 5 capeshit movies per year. A Spiderman movie is no more an event than an Ant-Man movie, and by now in 2019 the Raimi Magic from the early days is long fucking dead and gone. BP had a colossal community identifying with it, Spiderman is just classic coke now. You expect to have it on the menu. It's familiar. It doesn't really catch attention.
Rest assured user, Feige will apply his movie marvel formula and sort of reinvent the character for it's third movie, as always. Only then will we be able to really measure if Marvel Studio can go beyond all the Spiderman iterations we've already seen. It's very hard to reinvent the wheel.
